Pretty cool place not much going on here but a very safe place for a single lady to be by herself after dark.

If u have to place a loved one in an assisted living facility, this is one of the less expensive and seems ok. They do have lots of activities for the tenants and they take them out on trips on occasion.

Kanawha Place was clean and airy. The staff member was very friendly and interested in knowing what my aunt liked and the things she was into. The activity room looked organized and clean. They showed me the craft room, the exercise/physical therapy part of it, the dining hall, and a sample of their rooms. There was an added room that the family could reserve to go in and meet privately with the resident. Kanawha Place was a nice place; however, we realized that an assisted living place was not for my aunt.

I was at Kanawha Place for two months and I had no complaints about them. The rooms were very nice, and the place was beautiful, but the staffing was a little bit short. The place had nice furnishings and decorations. They used to have a chef and the food was really great, but when the chef was gone, they served ordinary food.
