The Addison is a wonderful place and we are so lucky to have amazing staff and residents! This will be my 5th year working in the therapy department at the Addison and it continues to be such a joy helping our residents and build relationships with them.

I have worked at The Addison for a little over a year now. I have the unique opportunity to talk to residents and families each day as they visit the building, or come to me with questions about our community. The building is beautiful and doesn't look like what you think Assisted Living would look like. The people here are what makes my job so enjoyable. The residents have created bonds with their neighbors, and our staff , making this a community not just a building. And it's great to see the staff smiling as they interact with residents throughout their day-you can see that they really care about what they are doing. There is a great sense of community at The Addison, and it really feels like family!

Our family has had such wonderful experiences at The Addison from Addisons friendly staff who greets residents by name and interacts with them in such a positive way, to the activities available, and the beautiful building and apartments. Our parents took much pride in their home and this move was necessary, but difficult for them to leave their house. They really like their apartment and it feels like home. They enjoy meeting new people, have made new friends, and have adjusted quite well. The staff helps them with the daily schedule and consistently checks in with them. My parents have adjusted well and are comfortable with their new home. My family is so thankful that my parents are in a safe place and that we found Addison. Im so impressed with this assisted living facility and the hard work and dedication of ALL staff. They understand what families need and are very supportive.

Caring
The Addison of Pleasant Prairie was wonderful. It was a beautiful place. The lady there who showed me around was very nice. She followed up with me. Overall, it was a wonderful place to be if you're inclined to be OK with that big of a place. However, I think I like my dad in a smaller community. Other than that, it was a great place. Everybody I talked to there seemed very happy too.

I have been staying with my grandmother while she recovers from surgery and have enjoyed most of the experiences at the Addison. The most disappointing experience the past couple of weeks has been the food. While some dishes are acceptable or even pretty good, some are pretty poor in quality. Egg and cheese casserole has no cheese. Cookies and cake are always over cooked. I wouldnt consider iceberg lettuce salad, 5 star. And when my grandmother gets a sick tray, it comes after the meal. (after 6pm for dinner is too late). At the same time, I regularly hear the younger residents complain at the table and-or send food back. Hopefully in the future suitable funds can be allocated to the kitchen to provide better quality food to the residents.

My brother moved into The Addison a month ago. The staff is great. It's a new place with beautiful landscaping. I'm quite impressed. We had a good lunch there. He has a beautiful, brand-new studio apartment. It's a good example of finding a place that has good aesthetics, good motivation for people functioning at a higher level, good quality of life, and opportunities for connecting with people. It has a holistic approach.

The Addison was very nice, but the rooms were smaller. They had activities, like bingo and arts and crafts. The dining area was nice but a little dark.

Mom seems to like The Addison of Pleasant Prairie. It's a brand new place, and it's still small because it is not fully opened yet. It has a very nice dining area, and there are waiters that come to the table and take their orders. It is very nicely done. I had some issues about the medication, but we got it straightened out. Their price is comparable with most places in the area. They have a screen where they post the activities for the day, and they have a shuttle to take the residents to appointments. Some of the staff are friendly and nice.

We chose The Addison for my father and are pleased with it. I am impressed with the professionalism of the staff, and the facility is very nice. The programs seem well managed and an appropriate fit for my father's needs. They have facilities, rooms, and small communities, and a variety of activities like trivia, memory activities, and pet therapy.
