My mother- and father-in-law lived here for five years, and during that time their needs changed from assisted living to memory care and, ultimately, hospice care(in conjunction with the wonderful staff at Brighton). Through every stage, the staff was truly wonderful. What stands out most to our family is the kindness, compassion, and dignity with which they were treated. The staff didn’t simply provide care. They got to know them, looked out for them, and treated them like people who mattered. As their needs became greater, we always felt they were surrounded by people who genuinely cared about their comfort and well-being. The transition through assisted living, memory care, and hospice is not an easy journey for a family, but having such caring people alongside us made an incredibly difficult time easier. We will always be grateful for the patience, kindness, and support shown not only to my mother and father-in-law, but to our entire family. After five years, you get to know a facility and its people very well, and I can wholeheartedly say that the staff here made a lasting difference in our family's lives. We are deeply thankful for the care they received and for everyone who was there for them along the way.

This retirement home is a great community. The staff is extremely helpful and will go above and beyond for the residents. Everyone is kind, caring, and dedicated to making sure the residents feel comfortable, safe, and valued. I was disappointed by my experience at Evin at Oconomowoc. During my visits, I observed caregivers and CNAs spending what seemed to be a significant amount of time on their personal phones instead of focusing on resident care. It left me with the impression that residents were not always receiving the attention they deserved. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and reinforces expectations for professionalism and attentive resident care. It is not right for employees to be on their phones basically the entire shift. There is always something to keep busy with.

Unfortunately this place is not as it was Updated 6/11/2025 I lived there for four years I moved out last July the people that live there are fantastic most of the staff that helped the residence are fantastic but the management company is horrible Lies they don’t listen when the residents complain about things they just say what sounds good and they do nothing I would never live again in a building owned by this management company it’s really sad the staff the people love get fired residence will get a little bit difficult instead of being cared for and cared about are kicked out it’s it’s not what I thought it was I moved in January 1 of 2021 because my husband died in September 2020 so I move back to Wisconsin from Arizona to be closer to family. I was looking for a place to land at one of the most difficult times of my life and the people especially the staff of Evin have more than exceeded my expectations. There is no Problem or concern no matter how big or small but I’ve ever brought to staff they have not listened with concern and caring and done whatever they could to fix , it’s impressive that they listen so well to all of us here and while everything might not always be perfect like any apartment complex that they care so much about each individual who lives here, to me is the most important thing and the reason I am so happy here. The residents have created a family here & as each new person joins us we just roll them into the family we all keep an eye on each other, we all care a great deal for each other, the building is filled with love and laughter.

Evin in Oconomowoc was an amazing experience. My father was there for a couple of years. Their care a love for my father helped make his remaining years worth every thing. He was treated like family. The management and care teams are great to work with.

I had the opportunity to speak to the Executive Director I believe her name was Ashley. I can’t express my gratitude for such an amazing person. Just down to earth and answered all the question’s my family had. Everyone there was just so welcoming and friendly. Thank you all for making us feel at home.

I have had the pleasure of going to Evin over the last 6 months as a hospice nurse. The building is beautiful, clean and inviting. I have always been welcomed by staff and feel accepted as a part of their team despite coming from an outside provider. Most of my time has been spent in the memory care unit which has a calming atmosphere. Staff always have an immediate update on how hospice patients are doing and are willing to help assist with cares with a pleasant attitude. Management has been amazing to work with, very responsive with great communication and always have the residents best interest at heart. There are always fun activities going on around the building which include family and friends. Evin is a wonderful community, I would have no hesitation choosing it for a family member!

Our family was extremely grateful for the outstanding care of our wife and mother, Ellen, during the transition from memory care to hospice. The care from both Evin's staff and the hospice team was nothing but extraordinary. The entire period of her illness she was kept pain-free and comfortable. The staff was patient, attentive and gentle with her care and also with her husband and family during her hospice stay. We as a family would recommend Evin as a place for your loved one.

I have several friends that moved into Evin in Oconomowoc every time I visit I get to hear all about how wonderful it has been. From the dining experience to the gym and most recently I showed up during Happy Hour!! What a blast! They have so much to offer. Including wonderful caregivers and Nursing staff. This really is a respectful and caring place for your loved ones. I'm so happy my friend have found Evin.

Evin is a beautiful complex full of potential, unfortunately it is run very poorly and the manager takes advantage of the vulnerable population who lives there. The company cannot keep staff and do not live up to the promise made to the residents. Since the building opened they have consistently failed to provide the highly touted breakfast and meals. There is no salon service as advertised. The activity schedule for the residents is inconsistent and lacks creativity. The manager does not take feedback from town hall meetings to the owners and the residents pay the price for their negligence.

I feel fortunate to have a connection to this wonderful senior community. Having over 20 years of professional experience in the senior housing and service industry, this stands out to me as a truly unique, market leading property. The local ownership group has gone to great lengths to provide for a full continuum of support services while protecting the integrity, choice, and lifestyle of active older adults. This residence is just large enough to offer amenity, resources, and variety but avoids the common pitfalls associated with large 'complexes' that many developers build. I've had the pleasure of talking with some of the seniors that call Evin home; they share consistent feedback related to the size of this building directly contributing to their comfort and sense of community.
