From its comfortable environment to the caregivers, St. Michaels feels just like home. The views from the patio and dining room is like staring at a post card. The care received by staff is like your mom being right there. 5-stars. 2-thumbs up. I cant say enough good things about the place and the people!

I have lived at Paradise Village for 6 years. From the day we walked through the front door and were greeted with a warm smile and hello . To the consultant who gave us an overview of price and various apartments to choose from based on our needs. To our walk around to observe the happy outgoing Staff and busy people To the tasty and enjoyable lunch as we watched the Interaction between the Servers and the residents . To coming back the next day and signing the paperwork. To why such a snap decision? clearly those living and working here were happy. We moved in a week later. I call Paradise Village a Cruise Ship that never leaves port. And like a Cruise ship we enjoyed all the activities, parties and made wonderful friends . Sadly my husband Norton passed away 2 years later but unlike being alone in my house with our children concerned about my being alone I was surrounded by friends . And then the Light Bulb moment of reality ! What a wise decision we made that day 6 years ago to move here.

I have two client/friends living here and one of them is very ill. She is in a specialty hospital for short term and is coming home today. I just spoke to her roomie who is bringing her home today and she said the administrator, bill lawson, is bringing her pancakes now before she goes to bring her roomie home! Im not surprised but as huge as this community is, the management know them personally and treat them like family. Big Kudos!!!!!

I have friends who reside at Paradise Village whether in Independent or Assisted Living. They tell me that this is absolutely the most beautiful place to be in San Diego County. But what makes it far better than just being this state-of-the-art-facility? It's the kind of people who work within its walls. Yes, the entire staff is kind, caring and very compassionate. The quality of care and services provided are of the highest caliber.

We toured this community for care and we did not like the older building. It was on the dark side and we wanted a more bright community. The staff very very nice and answer the questions that we had on the care that is given. They offer a good variety of healthy meals and a small variety of activities. We would recommend that families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

I truly do not get on Yelp and do many reviews! However, this will be a review from the heart. As we all know there are many choices and I was fortunate to have someone that was an expert to drive me around and had given me a bundle of choices! I not only was looking at the facilities as a retirement/assisted living provider~. Our family are surgeons, physicians, nurses and OT providers. ~ Hence, ~There was a list of accommodations that were on my list that I was looking for. I will be honest moving my father to National City, was not on my list! We pulled into Paradise Village and I immediately was impressed by how clean and well kept the community was.. We walked into the plaza for our meeting and I was touched by how I was treated by the entire staff. Making a decision for a family member, such as my father is a huge responsibility. There are so many thoughts and emotions going through your body. Not to mention that we had to convince and move him quickly back to California ~ The Senior Executive Director "Bill Lawson" has been nothing but kind and always willing to allow a family member to speak to him ~ even if he is walking through the building or outside! "Nithi Narasappa" is the Executive Director ~ She Has been a complete treasure! She has done everything in her power to learn more about the residents and not just my dad. She is willing to work closely with the family's to increase the stability and comfort for each resident. They recently hired a new resident director "Michele Hicks" and she is on top of everything, especially for just jumping into Paradise Village. It is a comfort to know that they do have a medical professional on staff. Chris, "Culinary Service Director" and Nicole and Axiom, also have supervising roles ~ Everyone is willing to listen and assist with what is needed. They have Med techs and Caregivers that are fun and truly caring of my father! They have maintenance crew and housekeepers that are also very kind to the residents. Minnie is in charge of all community outings and brings fun into the facility ~ She is filled with energy and will listen to what the residents are interested in. Nothing is ever perfect, however what is perfect is that the entire team at Paradise Village is always willing to listen and assist to improve ~! From the bottom of my heart! ~ This is the PLACE to choose for your loved one! My heart is filled with gratitude! Thank you ~ Happy new Year filled with Blessings for all~ I encourage everyone to visit this site and find out for yourself what a lovely, and awesome facility it is!

I just helped my mom move in here. Everyone on the staff has been very friendly and warm and accommodating. The village is overall very nice with a lot of amenities that hopefully my mom will be able to use. The price is slightly higher than tour standard indy village but the setting is much much nicer than most of the other places we looked at. Hollie in the new resident department was super friendly and answered all our questions. Reggie (night security) was helpful and friendly when I was here at night after work trying to bring various stuff up to setup moms apt. Jacqueline at the front desk is always friendly and warm when I call in to ask a question. The waiters and waitresses at the restaurant are really sweet and accomplishing.

You cannot begin to appreciate the conscientious staff until you meet them and see how content residents are with Paradise Village. The chef is too notch, caters to every whim and the community is warm, yet has an elegant, majestic feel. Take a walk through each care level and know you are in loving hands!!

My Mother has been here from the time it open, The grounds are (Always) beautiful, The activates and shows are upward and first class, The program manger in both assist and Independent are the best in the business. Restaurant serve award wining meals . To top it off the staff love their residents and engage personal relationships with one on one treatment. They truly Care....My doggie Piglet is the personal doggie ambassador, she runs to the doors to see everybody. If you are looking for a place for mom or dad this should be one of your stops. The only downside to the resort is that it is a non-medical or meds. only at the assist living. There is a little too much segregation between the assist and independent and those seniors are having too much fun....

This is a 5 star place. I just finished breakfast with my friend,Steve, who lives here. Awesome. A friendly staff. Very helpful. Very nice amenities, ie, pool, bank, meeting rooms, tennis court, etc. With enough income, I'd live here too.
