Beautiful facility, great employees, but Woefully under staffed. Although staff goes over and above it seems like the owners are all about money. The grounds are weed infested, the rooms are often not clean. And 1 person to take care of 8 to 10 residents is just criminal! When we signed up we were told there would be 3 staff in Each unit at all times, not so. 1 at best. Although security is good, often when visiting we can't leave for up to 30 minutes as the one person staff is busy with a resident. I'm sorry we didn't choose a home facility. Even with only one person to take care of residents there are usually only4-6.

Deep Appreciation to the extraordinary staff of Memory Haven: Lyn: Her "can do attitude" makes the Residents feel relax, smile, and be at ease. She finds ways for the Residents not to miss a meal. My spouse was at the media room's recliner & didn't want to get up for dinner. Lyn took his dinner to him. My spouse ate & finished his dinner. Lyn also took the time and the initiative to make my spouse say yes for a sponge bath, shave, and change of clothes. Marissa: I appreciate Marissa's regular communication with me about the health status of my spouse. She gives individual attention to the Residents & their Families. Her statement, "We will do our best to make them get up to eat", was in full contrast with, "We can't force them to get up or force them to eat." Marissa's statement had put me at ease that my spouse will eat his meals, would be out of bed, & would be well taken cared of! Editha: She exudes warmth with a ready smile. She is very organized with complete attention to details. Her patience & perseverance make my spouse to get out of bed, take a shower, & eat. She leaves my husband's room, bathroom, clothes, in order. Donna: She is a hands on Director! She is on the floor ensuring everything is well taken cared of. She is not the typical behind the desk director but always on the floor with the staff, residents, and the families. They are all experts who make the Residents and their Families feel at home at Memory Haven Thank you for everything that you all do!

Memory Haven is one of a kind. Memory Haven is very interactive with all of the residents. Memory Haven treats my mother as it was their mother. Facility is always clean and everything up to date. You can go in to memory Haven at any time and speak with any of the management team which doesn't excellent job. Thank you very much for all you do

Memory Haven and everyone who works there has been such a blessing to my family. I find peace in knowing how well my mother is taken care of. She is treated with dignity, respect and love. Thank you Memory Haven, and a special shout out to the director Donna Wing who made our transition seamless during such a stressful and emotional time.

Memory haven has been my place of employment for he past six months and I love it here! The team here is by far the best, they all do a fantastic job and really care about the residents and go over the top for them. all the residents are comfortable in this home like setting. I wish any of you would stop by and check us out, we would love to show you around.

Although our moms time at Memory Haven was only for a short two months, there is a need to express our deepest gratitude to the facility and to each and every staff member. Their kind, warm, and gentle care provided us reassurance that our mom was in the best place during her last days. Our mom’s condition came on suddenly and progressed quickly. Memory Haven was there for us in a dire need situation. I work in a hospital and see patient care on a daily basis, so when I saw the attention to detail, (such as finding the right water bottle, or making sure she had her blanket we made her and her stuffed animal next to her), the patience, and the love for helping those needing memory care, I knew she was in good hands. We visited everyday, and always felt welcome. During our moms last days, we stayed by our moms side, and they welcomed all of our family in to be with her, (even found games for the kids to play, again, attention to detail). To Donna, Michelle and ALL of the caregivers, our family sends our sincerest gratitude for all you do. Thank you.

My dad was there for 6 short months but it was the best decision we could have made. Moving my dad anywhere was a hard choice, but the staff at Memory Haven we very kind and patient with my entire family. Everytime we visited him he was clean, well dressed and happy. He may not have understood where he was, but he was happy. Everytime a staff member walked past him they would pat him on his head, or wave, or say Hi to him. The staff not only knew my dad, but loved him. In his last days, his nurses and care staff were wonderful. They checked on him every 15-30 minutes, made sure he was clean and comfortable. The family was able to come in one at a time and say our goodbyes. I want to mention Tori especially. She not only cared for my dad in the end, but also for us. I feel the staff loved my dad and was not just taking care of my dad. I cant say enough wonderful things about this place.

I am very thankful for Memory Haven. They are currently caring for my mom. The caregivers are attentive and compassionate. I have learned a lot from watching them with the residents that has helped me with my mom. They are attentive to my moms needs, and Im amazed at the little things that the caregivers are tuned into. Not only do I feel like my mom is getting great care, but everyone at Memory Haven is helping me through this very difficult journey of her disease.

Memory Haven is a very special place, staffed by very wonderful caregivers. My mother was at Memory Haven for almost two years before she passed away. The care she was given was wonderful. The caregivers are truly concerned with the welfare of the residents. Whenever I visited, I would find them interacting wit the residents, doing activities, walking with them or just visiting with them. The facility is very welcoming and homey. There are many activities that family members can be involved in. Family members are also encouraged and welcome to just come for a visit or a meal. I always felt very welcome there and my mother was extremely well cared for. The staff worked very hard at making sure she was as comfortable and as happy as possible. The caregivers were very supportive to myself and my brother and they helped us understand the disease of Alzheimers and how to best help my mother. I was very lucky to have found Memory Haven and could not have asked for a better place or better care for her. I would and have recommended Memory Haven to anyone looking for Alzheimers or Dementia care for a loved one. It is the best care facility that I found and it is very reasonably priced compared to many of the facilities that don provide care anywhere near as good.

My wife of 51 years is a current resident. She has been there for 1 1-2 years. I visit almost everyday for at least 4 hours. I can attest to the great care giving that Memory Haven provides. They are very caring. I particularly like the ratio of care givers to residents. No request goes unanswered.The rooms are kept very clean and each room has its own bathroom, very important! The activities are great and several times a month they have music provided by outside musicians. Very relaxing for the residents.On the days I cant be there, I am very comfortable that she will receive the best of care.The food is always excellent and in fact my wife has gained several pounds and is now on a dietI have and will continue to recommend Memory Haven Sumner to anyone that ask.
