The Vintage at Spokane is a wonderful place to live. We looked for a couple of years before moving here and it has ended up being the perfect retirement community for us. The management and staff are helpful and kind. The move-in process was very convenient and very quick. Residents are friendly. It gives a feeling of community with all of the wonderful amenities like the social room and the pool. Most importantly, it is clean and feels safe. I would recommend wholeheartedly.

The man fixed my stove as best as he could without the proper new parts needed. But it's not correct. Maybe spare parts should be kept handy? Also he didn't address the problem of the shower being too high for me to reach or the dishwasher not being attached inside the cupboard or my weak water pressure. But the worst part is this, I spent Saturday night in the hospital and came home Sunday morning. After a nap I went to get prescriptions and it was dark when I got back. And even though I reported the same problem last Monday, my door fob WOULD NOT OPEN THE DOOR! I DONT APPRECIATE BEING LOCKED OUT! I pay my rent and should not be locked out or forced to wander around in the dark and freezing cold to find a way in. It's also not safe. SO I HOPE YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THAT I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED AND DISPLEASED.

Let me just make myself clear, this particular review is not about the vintage at Spokane I only put that because it would not let me pick just an address this happened in the parking lot where this person who drives this old beat-up vehicle tied up their dog with a big thick heavy link chain that was wrapped around the window of the vehicle and the dog was there in over a hundred degrees for over 4 hours howling and howling in misery. I am surprised I did not hear that from my apartment I actually thought it was children screaming and playing the way he was howling so loudly he sounded like a child screaming. I didn't know anything until I went to take out the trash and our trash is inside our building down a trash chute I looked out the window and I saw this dog tied up to this old beat-up truck. I went into flight or flight response for this dog so quickly I was shaking, I was tripping over my own feet, I couldn't grab my keys, a pair of scissors.... I didn't know if he was on a leash and I could need to cut it off ......I didn't know if he was friendly all I knew is that I was going to rescue that poor dog. Thank god, some other tenants were down there as well and called scraps. I went over there and unchained the dog and another tenant didn't have any pets so he was willing to take him to his air conditioning apartment give him food and water until scraps can come and get him. People that can't afford to support themselves should not have animals to make them suffer as well. Be kind to all animals because they are all God's creations. I just found out today that the dog that I rescued was given back to the man that owns this truck who left his dog abandoned in over 100°with no food, no water, and no shelter. I was told that scraps animal control came out earlier and made the choice to just leave the dog chained up in the hot sun that blew my mind that they would do that aren't they there to rescue animals not to kill them or leave them for dead. Scraps told the man the animal is property and he had to give the dog back. So at what point do you take an animal away from someone who is clearly abusing & neglecting them. I am a true animal lover ...I sign petitions every day and I try to donate every month even if it's just $10 or a little bit I don't have much but whatever little I have left I will donate to help animals in need. I'm greatly disappointed in scraps to find out that they would leave an animal this way 2 times. I don't think I'll be adopting my animals from scraps anymore. I will be reviewing my experience with scraps on the better Business bureau. If they're not going to help animals then what good are they for? If you should happen to see this truck with this poor dog tied up again please call Crime Check and maybe they will do something because unfortunately, scraps won't do anything in which I am still trying to wrap my head around the whole logic of it. We are supposed to be stewards for all God's creations, not to hurt them, leave them abandoned or leave them in bad situations or steal them away or put them in tiny little cages nor torture or kill them. Many animals are like children and we should care for them as such with all the love and attention that we could possibly provide for them. And always have mercy on others be animal or human as you would have unto you. And never listen to man that void the word of God ™

I'd been waiting for awhile, due to a medical leave. Chris, himself came to change the new tube lights i needed, due to them burning out. The next day, the temporary worker, who had been hired to fill the spot temporarily came to fix my dishwasher. I appreciated this very much. We were told the building would be washed two years ago still has not been washed. The dryer vents are a fire hazard. Some of them are clogged with birds and birds nests we have a pigeon problem, pigeon poop all over windows some you can’t see through the list really goes on and on and on. But very disappointed in the way the Vintage of SPOKANE is being run. Nothing gets done. We’re told it’s not in the budget or I’m working on it. The pool and hot tub have mold on it the dressing room bathroom/shower has mold in it. We are down to one maintenance man in which I feel sorry for because he can barely keep up with it. We are down to one person who cleans that that does not do a very good job for a building this size. We need at least two people to clean and at least two people for maintenance. We have no security. I was told when I moved in we had security that was a joke we have homeless people coming in sleeping in the halls. You can’t even go next-door without locking your doors anymore. It’s a shame and then they raise the rent so most of the people living here are on Social Security and cannot afford it Then you move in the homeless off the street they bring bedbugs in then you have to suffer for it. Then the homeless keeps bringing in homeless it’s a vicious circle

Well, so far it's been great. Almost everyone smiles and says Hi, it was almost 3 days before I had to use my key fob. People always hold the elevator for you and are helpful and informative. I think I found the right spot for me. Thank you. 2:44 PM SM

I feel that COVID-19 changed our lives, our common sense, with our age generation we were raised to respect our elders, have empathy, and to be kind to each other. With that in mind, I believe it gave a permit for management just to say oh well, they went without it during Covid. They can live with out longer, but I also when somebody keeps threatening the office to take a stamp it sometimes can make things worse and build the negativity in the whole building for the last two years. I pray that the Lord will help us get this straightened out. Just let your manage allow get it done our health should be number one!!! Praying for Chris, Ashley and Sam.

We are enjoying our apartment and the people here. We have one major complaint and that is We have had a package disappear and we think it was taken from inside the building. We feel there needs to be more security.

I had picked Vintage of Spokane as a place to retire to a few months ago, having visited it several times to see that the feel for the place kept me interestested in it, from its location, to its cleanliness of the grounds that surrounded it ,to the people that lived there , to the staff that from day one was very helpful very kind and just had a special way with its patrons that lived there it was almost like one bug family always nice and looking out for one another, and the staff was always there to help or to answer questions and I found that therewasnt a big turn around within the staff, and from the start of filling out the paperwork to be accepted the young lady was very helpful and very kind and also when I was accepted she made it very easy and very fast from start to finish with the paperwork so there was no mistakes, or unanswered questions that needed to be answered it was the best decision I ever made making the Vintage my place to retire to and feel I will have many good memories to make living there now and in the future.. My son was the applicant. He went because he really wanted to be a part of the community. He was told he made too much money, but I believe he does not. His tax return last year was 34,000.00. The last three pay stubs had one that he had worked a day for someone else, but this is not normal. Maybe he should try again. your thoughts.

Everyone is friendly, takes a while to get things done. This is a big complex and they have a lot to do. This is the first time in a long time I've lived in an apartment and I'm very happy with it. Plan on staying here for a while. They have lots of activities, swimming . The dogs seem happy.

David is very helpful and polite but he can not turn the heat up on the hot water system. We used to have plenty of hot water but lately we have had barley warm water and taking a shower is very uncomfortable.You need to bring in a professional plumber to cure the problem We still don't have hot water. don't be so damed cheap and hire a professional plumber to fix the problem or next month our rent check might be a little cold

I had an issue with the aireator for the dishwasher as it sent water onto the counter. I had also requested for the dryer exhaust to be cleaned out as it takes up to 4 hours to dry the laundry, also the large burner on the stove was also supposed to be replaced as it doesn't heat up properly. The burner and dryer still needs to be taken care of, but haven't.

I've made 3 reports about an umbrella in the smoking area that needs to be tethered to the post . 1st to maintenance who told me to go to the office. I did and made a report. Two weeks went buy and I mentioned it to maintenance that the umbrella is being blown around and might be damaged. I was again told to tell the office which I did. That's been a couple of weeks or more....I lose count....oh yeah I live at the Vintage .

Maintenant is horrific. I have made mention of this A/C condensing until for two years now. The condensing unit is packed with dirt and as can be seen in the photo, the suction line is totally frozen! I can't believe it's still running!

We were told to use a certain door to move furniture etc I. And when we opened it an extra loud screeching alarm that went off for 15 minutes or more and we couldn’t get it to stop son in law finally got it to shut off but by that time everyone’s nerves were shot and kind of made the rest of the move a downer

The manager who walked me through was excellent. She was very positive and explained things very well. She knew many of the tenants names and this impressed me. I did not like the corridor walls being painted pink, and the lights in the corridors need to be brighter. The apartments themselves were reasonable and decent, but the corridors made it feel very institutional.

The Vintage is a very nice 55+ Apartment in north Spokane. Ashleigh was very very nice and a pleasure to meet. She showed us all of the amenities in the building plus one of the units. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of all areas and enjoyed meeting some of the residents.

Unfortunately, this facility had gone down hill since we moved in here 3 years ago. They apparently are now accepting "Rehousing the Homeless" people who have absolutely ZERO respect for rules or know what is like to live in an apartment complex. They rented to this woman who lives directly above us, who, as she told me herself, was homeless. I have NEVER in my 45 years of apartment living, ever had such a noisy and disrespectful neighbor who disregards all facility rules. She moved in and immediately had her daughter, who was also homeless, move up here from California, to come stay with her. In addition, she also has her son with his 2 preteen/teen boys, who she says is her "caregiver" staying with her. The boys will stand on their balcony and throw their trash down onto my balcony. The boys go get into the swimming pool at all hours of the day or night, not taking towels with them and soaking the floor/carpeting from the pool onto the elevator, making it unsafe for our elderly population. The kids are only suppose to be in the pool during designated hours, accompanied by the resident, which obviously is not happening. Also, they have a black car and a white van of which they are sleeping in at night in the parking lot! We are suppose to follow the "quiet time" house, from 10P-8A, not running the dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, no loud music, etc., for which she totally disregards. She was doing laundry at 1:30 2 nights ago. The noise, many times, is absolutely unbearable, sounding like they're bouncing a ball, jumping, stomping, bowling, having elephant races .. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. I have reported this to the office, but obviously nothing is being done because there has been ZERO improvement and the property is getting their money from the housing program, so, sadly, it won't change. They allow these kind of people with a free ride in here, paying there move in expenses, two months rent up front and they go up on our rent $100+/month for those of us who don't get any type of assistance!! Doesn't seem fair! We've also had a massive increase in theft both inside and outside the building. The surrounding wire fence being cut open for the homeless to have easier access to the property. They even stole the umbrella that was attached to the picnic table at the North end of the building. Unfortunately, we no longer feel safe living here and will be moving after the first of the year.

The Vintage and its staff is a great place. Ashley and Corrine have been very friendly and accommodating to me during my move in and after and the maintenance staff are hard working, efficient and have been Pleasant to me as well. I absolutely love my apartment. It is very clean, comfortable, warm, spacious and the appliances are way above average and awesome! And my fifth floor North facing balcony has a very Pleasant View with reasonable space for lounging. Thank you, I honestly hope to be here for years to come. Sincerely Jack Motch.
