My mom is at Royal Park and I come to see her weekly. Everyone of the staff is caring. There is always a nurse checking in on her to make sure she is coming to the dining room. The food is delicious with a menu that offers a variety of foods. There is always an alternate choice if you don't like the main dish. There's other options to choose from with 2 hour's advance notice, such as a grilled cheese sandwich. The activities are so fun, Denise does a fantastic job coordinating music groups to perform and original activities like shark week. There was also a Olympics party at the closing of the games which the staff performed and even dressed up! It was a blast! If you call, you might get a friendly voice like Joanne, Doreen or even Amy. They all love what they do and it shows! This is a great place for your loved one to stay

This was our first experience with helping a loved one (our dad who was 100% blind), move into an assisted living facility. Dad moved in with our help in January 2022 after he decided to divorce his 2nd wife and move out of the marital home. Our first contact was with Amy Stafford, then the marketing director for Royal Park (and now the Executive Director). She has gone above and beyond to make sure our dad was taken care of. She runs a tight ship but also has many "fun" days with her staff and residents. We live out of state but would visit dad frequently and would always get a chuckle seeing her and her staff dressed up in costumes for whatever theme it was that day. The residents seemed to love talking about their costumes as well. The med techs/nursing staff (Angel, Gia, Lisa Marie) were very attentive to dad and his numerous medical issues. Since he was 100% blind and a type 2 diabetic, he had to rely on the staff to bring him to each meal (Sarai) and to administer insulin and his medications 3-4x per day. Their work and their care of our dad was so very important to us and they do not receive the recognition they all deserve for caring for our loved ones in assisted living. Andy does a great job of maintaining the property and would help dad with things he needed fixed (or just assembled) for his room since we weren't available. The cleaning staff made sure to empty his garbage and washed his laundry weekly. The kitchen staff has an enormous task of feeding A LOT of humans with a lot of opinions and dad was definitely one of them. The patience that the staff showed us while we were there and the fact that dad never complained to us but commended the staff for all their help and hard work, put our minds at ease knowing he was well taken care of. Dad passed away in late June 2024. We flew in 3 weeks later to clean out his studio apartment the day before his funeral service. Royal Park surprised us by bringing in a "comfort cart" filled with water, coffee, snacks and fruit while we were going through the arduous task of deciding what to keep, what to donate and what to throw away. It made the difficult day much more tolerable knowing we had something in our stomachs. If we had another relative in the Spokane area, we would not hesitate to have them reside at Royal Park.

My brother, Marty Stroy, moved into Royal Park Assisted Living two years ago. This is his first experience living in this type of setting.and Royal Park has set the standard high! The Executive Director, Amy Stafford, " runs a well oiled machine"! Her department heads keep us happy, healthy and well fed. The Activity Director Denice Bordenaro has an amazing program to keep the residents active, interested and involved. There are various exercise activities, celebrations around the holidays (or sometimes for no reason at all) as well as Bingo, Pokeno and musical entertainment. Louvonne Rudy Dietary Director, with her expertise and staff, allow us to enjoy a variety of great meals. Macey McLain Head of Nursing makes sure we are safe and healthy. There are Med Techs, Servers and a variety of other staff that makes Royal Park a great place to live!

Royal Park Retirement Center shines brightly in the landscape of senior living, thanks in no small part to its exceptional management team and a cadre of caregivers whose loyalty and dedication to the center span many years. My collaboration with them has offered me an inside view of a community that operates not just with efficiency, but with heart. The leadership of Doreen and Amy stands out as particularly commendable. Their expertise, compassion, and unwavering commitment to both residents and staff alike make them standout professionals whom I would recommend a hundred times over. They embody the center's ethos of continuous engagement and care, fostering an atmosphere where residents feel truly at home. Royal Park is distinguished by its vibrant environment, which is a testament to the team's efforts to keep residents active, engaged, and happy. The meal service is another highlight, featuring a variety of nutritious and delicious options that cater to the diverse preferences and dietary needs of the community. But it's the dedication to creating a lively, engaging atmosphere that truly sets Royal Park apart. From planned activities to spontaneous interactions, every aspect of life here is designed to enrich the days of those who live here. In essence, Royal Park Retirement Center isn't just a place to live; it's a place to thrive, supported by a team that feels more like family.

5 stars is not a high enough rating. My family has managed the care of our uncle from Texas, and Royal Park made that possible by provided him with an enriched quality of life while there. Working with Aleshia Salter, Royal Park's Executive Director, has always been a pleasure, her caring and concern is unmatched. Every person I have interacted with from Royal Park is outstanding and is supported to do their best on behalf of the residents of Royal Park. Going above and beyond for my uncle can't describe all that Royal Park has done for him and our family - they are a blessing to us.
