The Andrus-Lindstrom family members from Washington, California, and Virginia would like to thank everyone at Clearbrook Assisted Living Center and Northwoods Lodge Rehab Center for the care and compassion given to our father during the last two years of his life. No institution can compare to the support and expertise shown by every individual working at both facilities. In particular we would like to thank the compassionate Clearbrook caregivers Myra, Darwin, Thelma, Bonnie, Dawn, Alisha, Mel, Jake, Jason, Kimmie, Kylie, Chelsea, Jaden, Malcom, Shaquille, Tara & Tasha; the awesome activity directors/ coordinators Cindy and Chris; the fabulous food prep and stupendous serving teams Mandy, Darren, Kristina, Alethea, TJ, Haven, Amanda, and Marie; the mighty maintenance crew Richard and James; the heroic housekeeping staff whose names we do not know but wish we did; the proactive and attentive administration: Adam, Cathy, Joey, Kait, and Lori. With no reservations whatsoever, we recommend Clearbrook to anyone looking for a wonderful place for their loved ones to spend the last years of their lives. The physical facility itself is beautiful; the food served, truly nutritious and delicious; the activities offered to all residents, engaging and entertaining; the medical care given round the clock, exceptional. We cannot praise this Encore Community facility enough, and we thank everyone once again for becoming like family to us all.

My mom, who is 96 years old, has been a resident of Clearbrook since 2017, is exceedingly happy there. Clearbrook has an excellent staff, who are very attentive and friendly to her as an individual. Care that treats Mom as a respected friend really matters to my brother, sister, and me. In addition, Clearbrook has an amazing chef! Mom loves the food - and that makes a difference! The activities are varied and allow for all sorts of opportunities and creativity.

The staff at clearbrook are excellent. My wife's grandmother has been there a little over a year, and they have treated her with dignity and respect. We go about 3x/week, and they have little turnover, so they get to know residents and spend time with her. They do a great job tracking medication and the food is good!

Clearbrook Inn has been a good choice for my Mom. She has a private apartment so she can have her own furniture, decorations and pictures. There as so many activities led by Cindy & Chris to keep everyone fit, socializing, entertained and having fun each day. Adam & Joey are attentive to admin, answering questions and keeping things running smoothly and safely. Jake, Cathy and staff are attentive to medical needs and personal assistance. The food is good and nutritious. Cleaning & maintenance staff keep everyone's rooms clean and the whole place clean and comfortable.

I have had the pleasure of visiting Clearbrook Inn often as my mother is there. I have found that the staff goes above and beyond to provide outstanding care. Cindy and Chris provide amazing activities for the residents. They are both advocates for the residents. They are great at structuring activities so all can succeed. My mom’s caregivers Kylie, Ruth and Trudy are exceptional. Kylie makes sure my mom is up and ready to go every morning so she can participate in activities. Ruth helps her in the afternoon and into the evening. She treats my mom like family. Trudy is a warm positive care giver. Joey is the first person we see when we come in. She is incredible and enthusiastic. The atmosphere at The Clearbrook Inn is relaxed and positive. It is a great place to live, visit and work. I feel fortunate that my mom lives there as a resident. Megan, Joey, and Cindy have created a warm and inviting community that has welcomed my parents. Overall, the staff has been responsive to questions and concerns and as a result, my siblings and I are delighted with our parents' new home!

This place is beautiful and friendly!! Joey, the receptionist, is super welcoming and always remembers me each time. As a volunteer, Cindy and her staff in activities are fun and never leave me questioning what I should be doing! The activities are fun and the residents always say thank you for helping us and all you do. I occasionally pop in to individual rooms to visit or draw someone out and the rooms seem like home to each person living there. The dietary staff is also friendly and helpful to me when I need it. All in all, I recommend this facility to those seniors just looking for a bit extra help and yummy food. Beth

Since Clearbrook was my grandma home and the workers were her second family. I would like to give a special shout out to some people who stood out in my mind. Joey always made a point to greet us with a smile and welcome. Megan seemed to be able to answer any question I might have as a family member. Kenua and Darwin seemed to really understand what my Mom needed and how to approach the more difficult tasks. I know my parents really appreciated Alisha's caring at the end. They had never been there after 10 pm . JR was a big help during the move in and Move out.

Her care and personal attention was wonderful and our family was there so often that we can attest to the care and details of making our mother comfortable. My Mom called Clearbrook her home for over two years. It is never easy to make that move . However, from the second we walked through the door JR,, was there with tools, muscle, and suggestions. Mandy and crew were more than happy to accommodate Mom with chicken noodle soup and plenty of watermelon. Not to mention she enjoyed the dinners that often had gravy. Kenua, Darwin, Rosa, Myra were so patient and accommodating as Moms needs increased. Alisha was so good to Mom and us as Mom transitioned from this life.

My mom has been at Clearbrook Inn since October 2020 and she had been treated with the most amazing care and is truly loved by all the staff. It is such a relief to know that someone is watching over her 24/7 and is there for her whenever she reaches out. The staff is amazing to me too, they all know me by name and I love to visit with all of them. I am always greeted with total love when I walk in the front door. Exercise class in the morning is so good to get her up and going and then of course Bingo in the afternoons is a hoot. The bus trips are always a fun adventure and helps her to keep up with the outside world. I most definitely recommend Clearbrook Inn for others looking for a homey place to live.

Our mother moved into Clearbrook Inn on April 2020. Everything was shut down due to COVID. Clearbrook staff was outstanding helping our mother get settled in and comfortable in her new environment. Ruth was amazing to our mom and went above and beyond to help her with any needs. During the next year, we had to depend on Clearbrook Inn to provide all care as we were not able to enter the facility. Over the past three years, mom has made Clearbrook Inn her home. She has made many friends and participates in numerous activities offered at the facility. Cindy the Life Enrichment Director has created fun and diverse activities for all residents to enjoy. Tara has been helpful to mom in many ways including knowing how to make her bed the perfect way so she is comfortable. We would like to thank Clearbrook Inn for creating a welcoming home for all residents and their families.

Just over a year ago, Mom went to stay in Clearbrook Inn. It was something that we had talked about but weren't really prepared for. However, the folks at Clearbrook were ready (we just didn't know it until it was Mom's time). The process was exceptionally smooth (they have done this before) and Mom transitioned from home to living at Clearbrook. Mom was reluctant to engage in activities, but the activities director Cindy Klinefelter compassionately brought Mom into the social atmosphere, and it has made a huge difference. Mom has new friends and feels safe and well cared for. I don’t think that any of us aspire to require assistance daily around the clock, but it is a great comfort to know that people like the staff at Clearbrook make it their mission in life to help those that do require such care. Mom starts her day with Tracy Bomar who gets her ready meet the day and Nora Ader gets her tucked into bed at night. Of course, one can’t forget the ever-present Christina Rauch who seems to be there all the time with a smile and an answer to every issue. It’s a blessing to her family as well to know that people like Cindy, Tracy, Christina, and Nora are there for Mom. Thanks, Clearbrook.

Our experience from first inquiries, through the process of admission, and finally settling in was wonderful. My husband and I moved from California to Country Meadows, an independent living community, in 2010. It is a wonderful retirement facility the staff is great and the environment is friendly. When my husband passed away in 2017, I decided to stay because of the wonderful friends I have here and the great support I have received, and there is always some activity to look forward to. Country Meadows is a great place.
