Staying at the Kenney is a nice experience. Very quite and great meals. Also the price is right. It is a great way to be able to visit with my daughter who lives on Vashon. The bus line picks you up coming and going right to the ferry dock.

My mom has been a Kenney resident for several years. I could not be more pleased with her care at the Kenney. Everybody on staff goes out of their way to be kind, caring, and respectful of every resident. Guest rooms are available for out-of-town family and visiting family can dine with their loved one. The food is surprisingly excellent, definitely far better quality and variety than one normally associates with "institutional meals". My mom has resided at four different elder care facilities in Seattle over the past decade. The Kenney is head and shoulders above the rest. I highly recommend anyone looking for a great place for their aging family member to tour the Kenney. Jeff DeBell Llano TX

Toured THE KENNY today with Kimberly Spencer. I am interested in 2bdrm/2bath independent living unit. Kimberly was very knowledgeable and professional, as well as answering all questions. The buildings are very clean and quiet. I found it charming that there is such a variety of apartment styles. In addition, the grounds were lovely and very well cared for. There was another definite plus, that is that there is storage available outside the the apartment for items such as luggage/sports equipment or holiday decorations. As presented the rents and fees seemed very reasonable. Kimberly was terrific and certainly made this a serious contender. S. Watson

I moved here over 4 years ago. I was searching for (1) a non profit (2) some place that would keep me if my mind started to go [has assisted living and memory care] (3) where a senior in independent living could have a stove. I have all those things plus fabulous activities. Also, we love our current new management.

I love this place! I have lived here 4 years. This is a GREAT place to live. Based on what I have seen, it is also a great place to work. All members of the staff are helpful and friendly. The community has a large variety of activities. The gardens are great for walking around in or sitting on a bench. We are only a couple of blocks from Lincoln Park and Puget Sound. The city bus line to downtown is literally across the street. Based on the residents AND staff, I could recommend the Kenney without reservation!

Looking for the perfect retirement community where your loved one will be in good hands? The Kenney is the place for them! The food here is amazing, and the kitchen crew loves whipping up an assortment of meals to delight the community members here. They gave me a tour of their kitchen, and it was immaculate! Also, The Kenney has an assortment of living arrangements tailored to each individual’s needs.

The staff at The Kenney are dedicated to their residents and to returning the community and the facilities to their previous high standards. The grounds here are beautiful, and unlike anything seen in a city setting with the large yard and many trees. It's like having a park in your back yard (not to mention that it's right next to Lincoln Park). Definitely worth a look!

Had a great evening at The Kenney in West Seattle for a Chamber of Commerce event. It's incredible that this place isn't just a senior living community”they've got this amazing arboretum on site! I was really impressed by all the different trees and flowers they have. Truly a hidden gem in the area. The staff was super friendly and even mentioned they offer free tours if you're curious about the place. If you’re nearby and want to see something special, I'd definitely recommend stopping by!

The Kenney is a delightful and special community. My mom is in assisted living here. Since moving from the East Coast she has lived in at least 6 other senior communities in Seattle and Bellevue, so we know the lay of the land. Every community has its pros and cons, but for our family, the Kenney is the absolute best. The Kenney is built like a campus, in a park-like setting with walkable private grounds and historic charm, convenient to the city (on the bus line!) yet safe and tranquil, next door to a world class park. The community here is active, warm and welcoming, the food is good, the staff is truly caring, and it feels like home. I visit all the time, and the residents I gotten to know wouldn’t live anywhere else. The Kenney is a hidden gem. Don’t miss it.

I have taken a few people here and so far the experience has been nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and is very clean. Location is not horrible, but I personally Love any place that is near the water. I feel they do a good job when it comes to older folks, taking care of them, and making sure they're comfortable. The food smells pretty good there, and there always seems to be some type of activity to do. From what I can tell, it is a very nice place and I would definitely recommend for a rehab.
