Very small rooms, food is sub par like most assited living I think. They don't really give choices to make or get food you feel like / want to eat. They need more fresh food and larger portions. They don't really encourage visitors when they charged the resident $15 a meal for there visitors with no way for the visitor to pay themself. They also gouge when charging $25 a person for a Christmas meal. I can buy a meal at safeway for that amt for 6 people. They say they provide activities which they do but they are not really encouraging to get residents to participate or start new groups. They provide a salon but at way inflated prices not senior fixed income. Plan way ahead for more care as it is Not available within a day or two. The front end staff / maintainance are very nice and try really hard to give support with out suport/ training from the head staff. It dose seem like there is a lot of turn over. There actions don't represent there words. After my Mother passed I did give suggestions for improvements but I'm not very encouraged.

My brother and I viewed a number of assisted living/memory care facilities for my mother who suffered a stroke and could no longer live in independent living before selecting Overlake Terrace. We felt it was the best fit for her. It is a beautiful but "homey" place with lots of activities, outdoor spaces, and bright updated apartments. The staff seem very caring and genuine. Our Family Advisor Seri Madgett really took her time with us during our initial meeting and we were also able to meet with the nursing director Jill. The management team took their time assessing whether my mother would be better in assisted living or memory care which was greatly appreciated. I also very much appreciate Overlake Terrace's transparency with their fees and services. My mother has only been in the memory care unit a few days but we feel it is going to be a great place for her in her final years.

My husband and I toured 6 assisted living facilities for my n parents. We liked Overlake Terrace because of the activities, the atmosphere and the enthusiasm of the staff. My parents moved in 5 days ago and are very happy. They keep telling me about the new people they are meeting, how much they enjoy living there and how their children researched quite a few locations as well. Brian & Seri Madgett have consistently stopped to chat with my parents and arranged for them to meet with other residents. I am very happy with Overlake Terrace.

Seri Madgett and the folks at Overlake Terrace were by far the most professional and welcoming of the numerous independent living facilities we visited while looking for a place for our mother. The facility is bright and welcoming, and there are always lots of activities available, such as plays, singing, trips to local attractions, and the always-popular afternoon socials. The staff has also been very responsive and has helped to coordinate things, like furniture delivery, that would otherwise be far more difficult and stressful when we can't be there in person. This kind of support has made the transition much easier and less stressful for both our mother and our family. I would highly recommend Overlake Terrace to anyone looking for a new home for their loved ones, or for themselves.

Micki is a rock star. Navigating the process of assisted care has so many twists and turns. Micki guided our family with kindness and compassion - consistently. From the start as we gathered information until the day our father moved-in, Micki was at our side working tirelessly on our behalf. We just moved my mother-in-law into Overlake Terrace and we couldn't be happier! The staff is wonderful! They're welcoming, caring, and attentive. The residents are entertained with live music, activities, and nightly movies of their choosing. The facility is one of the nicest we've seen- clean, updated, and beautifully decorated. She feels at home and is already making lots of friends. They're such a fun group of people we enjoy visiting often. We are so glad we found Overlake Terrace!

The staff at Overlake Terrace are so kind, caring, and thoughtful. My mom isnt the easiest person, but the staff are so wonderful with my mom. The executive director has been there for almost a year, she keeps me updated about my mom and what is happening in the community. Covid has been terrible, but I know my mom is in the best place - no residents with Covid since March!

My mother has been a resident at Overlake Terrace for nearly a year. She moved in just before the COVID shut down and we have not been able to visit her in person since. However, we have been able to speak to her on the phone and Overlake Terrace has arranged for distant meetings through a ground floor apartment.I have been impressed by the diligence Overlake Terrace has taken to protect its residents from the virus and there have been no outbreaks. Additionally, they have taken good care of my mother and she is always well groomed, healthy, and in good spirits when we visit. I know that it has been very hard on the staff and they are working under tremendous pressure. My family and I appreciate their efforts.

My mother is in the memory care unit here. I would rate the building and grounds 5 stars. The carers that I have met are kind, pleasant people who seem to have a genuine interest in my mother. The drawback is the lack of staffing. I have left repeated messages for my mother and not had a return phone call until the next week. The receptionist states she has no way to contact staff downstairs if no one is in the office with the phone. That just seems wrong. On another occasion, my mother needed to go to the ER, according to the OT nurse but it was not urgent. She called an ambulance. Four hours later when I checked, there was no ambulance, my mother was not taken to the ER and the nurse had gone home for the day. I asked to speak to the person in charge and the receptionist repeatedly told me "no one is in charge", then transferred me to the voicemail of a social worker. I rang back and was immediately sent to the voicemail of a social worker. I rang again, was told there is no one in charge but the receptionist then ask another staff person to call the ambulance. It is a problem that no one is in charge at OT 24 x 7.

My father came to Overlake Terrace in January of this year. He had suffered a stroke on the plane traveling back from Florida for the holidays. The friendly staff and nurses have nurtured him back to the sensitive and grateful person he has been all of his life. We are truly appreciative for his care and strongly recommend Overlake Terrace.

This is a wonderful facility for memory challeged family members. The staff is exceptional. My father was welcomed the moment he moved in. The activities, food, and care, nursing staff are top notch. The business staff was very helpful in describing care packages and needs for my father. A good friend of mine has lived at Overlake Terrace for several years now. Every time I visit her for lunch, the staff is quite friendly, the food is tasty and inventive and there often are many activities and live music for the residents to enjoy. Overlake Terrace is a fantastic community in a great location. The property has a ton of common space and two large courtyards that are great for the summer.Theyre activities are awesome and very diverse. They have a weekly happy hour on Friday nights. Check out the Elvis impersonator from the other week.

My mother lived in Kingswood Court while on Hospice. The care givers were thoughtful, concerned, knowledgeable, caring, and very involved during her time there. They treated her with dignity and made sure she was comfortable. As her daughter, I could not have wished for a better end of life process for my mother.

I really like the homely spirit this place gives off. The staff is very caring of the residents and the atmosphere is cozy. I enjoy coming here to volunteer often and talk with the residents.
