We have the pleasure of assisting a wonderful new resident transition into this amazing community about a week ago. Jenny, Briana and their staff were Super facilitating to move in and making everything really smooth and very simple. Jenny And her staff went out of their way to accommodate this new resident. We were assisting, making sure she had everything set up properly in her unit to Provide alternate, comfort, and all of the elements from home that would make it An easy transition for her. Upon coming home from the hospital, it was realized that the bed she was using with no longer be accommodating, so Brianna made arrangements to remove the bed watch that was there too get her a handicap accessible hospital bed Within days of her arrival at Sonrise. These ladies, their staff are so cheerful display, great attitudes, wonderful spirits, and genuine respect for their members of their community. They make Sonrise a great place to be, Where it seems everyone that I encountered was content and In good spirits being there

Sunrise of Redmond has been a wonderful caring place for the last 8 months of my mom’s life. She requires assistance with mobility and had short term memory issues. I toured many other care neighborhoods- all of whom spoke to me. Sunrise was the first location to really speak to my mom and directly engage with her during the decision making process. The staff was always responsive, patient, and kind to her. The entire staff knew her and family members by name. The food was great. And the nursing staff were fantastic. I highly recommend Sunrise Redmond.

My father was invited to a special tour of Sunrise of Redmond on March 25, 2026. All of the staff were incredibly gracious and kind! Furnished and unfurnished bedrooms were shown with amazing appetizers! Other amenities such the library and movie room were great as well! To top it off, they sent delicious dinners home with us to show the quality of the food there. I would recommend checking this facility for yourself!

We recently toured Sunrise Senior Living in Redmond to learn about assisted living options and were thoroughly impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff. Briana greeted us, Megan took us on a tour of the main floor and a studio apartment. Chris joined us on the second floor and showed us a large one-bedroom apartment and the library where there were puzzles of all kinds. A gentleman who was working on a puzzle showed us his nearby room where his wife welcomed us all. The facility was beautifully maintained, with bright common areas and comfortable living spaces that immediately made us feel at ease. Ashley joined us and answered questions about the varied activities and personalized care they offer. Overall, I felt that the residents are treated with respect and compassion.

Sunrise of Redmond is a great place for seniors to live. My Mom lives there in the Reminiscence (memory care) neighborhood. Though Reminiscence is a locked area, it doesn't feel that way. There are 3 large community rooms: the dining hall, the TV room, and the activity room. All 3 rooms have large windows and open out into an enclosed garden. My Mom's apartment overlooks the Reminiscence garden. Residents can enjoy walking on a concrete walk or sitting in comfy chairs under the gazebo in the beautiful outdoor garden containing lavender, roses, and other flowers and trees. It also has tomato and squash plants planted by the residents' garden club. When the bird feeders are filled, the garden becomes live with birds, too. The Assisted Living neighborhood has 2 gardens of its own. Sunrise of Redmond is the only assisted living residence in the Bellevue-Redmond area that has an enclosed garden. In addition to walking in the gardens, residents can join the walking club that does laps outside the fence, in areas that are also landscaped. There are always lots of fun things going on at Sunrise of Redmond, including live music. In Reminiscence, every Thursday afternoon, Captain Ron plays old-time favorites on the piano, and residents are encouraged to sing along. And every Friday afternoon, a different performer plays in the Assisted Living Bistro. Reminiscence residents are always brought out to enjoy the show. Chris also regularly does karaoke in both Reminiscence and the Bistro. He's a lot of fun! And he always brings his adorable dog Beau, who charms everyone who sees him. And Beau isn't the only cute dog -- residents also bring their dogs to the social events! They have ice cream socials on Sundays. Sing-Alongs and Bingo are on Wednesdays. Olivia paints the ladies' nails on Saturdays. Ann, the Eucharistic Minister, holds a Catholic service on Thursdays. Twice a week, Linda takes residents on a scenic drive or an outing. She takes them to all sorts of wonderful places, including Lake Sammamish Park, Bellevue Botanical Garden, Volunteer Park, and Alki Beach. The shuttle also takes residents on shopping excursions. And residents go monthly to listen and/or dance to the "Sound of Swing" big band at the North Bellevue Community Center. Many thanks to Megan, the Activities Director! And I need to also give a shout out to the angels, who are the care givers in Reminiscence, including: Jane, Anastasia, Martha, Carol, Mary, Grace, Jacinta, Caroline, Krishna, Catherine, Lincoln, and Navneet. They are patient, caring, and kind. I am deeply grateful to them for their good care of my Mom.

Tim greeted us warmly and introduced us to Chris Shepard, who led a seamless and informative tour ” with help from the friendly community dog, Bo Diddley! We met Ashley, the Executive Director, and Yvonne, the nurse who’s been dedicated to Sunrise for over 15 years. Megan shared a wonderful, well-rounded activity calendar, and we enjoyed a delicious lunch and a thorough assessment. Briana made the transition from skilled nursing effortless with her excellent communication and care. Chris even helped my client into the car afterward and sent us home with a thoughtful treat. The backbone of any senior community is the caregivers. Over the years I have lived in several Assisted Living communities. Other communities may provide adequate care. (There is one Assisted Living community that I will not go back to.) 'Sunrise of Redmond' sets the bar high for overall care, high enough that some communities will never come close. My priorities are care, cleanliness, and an environment that allows me to be as independent as I can be. Care goes together with cleanliness. Sunrise, care is given in spades. I take meds eight different times as the day, every day. A Medication management system is a must have. At a previous community I was treated for a bladder infection that went septic and a large intestinal infection that put me in quarantine for about seven days. Here at 'Sunrise of Redmond,' bathrooms are frequently cleaned, and liberal amounts of disinfectant are applied to handrails and door handles. 'Wash your hands' A fever epidemic is not going to happen here. The place is too clean! Caregivers assist me in showering, with frequent body checks. Caregivers help Residents get dressed in the morning and ready to go to bed at night. It is very easy to be lonely and depressed after moving to a new community. You don't know anyone. I sat in the corner pretending to read a book or would go back to bed, too fatigued to continue. Not anymore! I'm too busy to worry about feeling alone. On this month's calendar 45 different activities were scheduled. Something is happening every day. My caregivers, my friends enjoy coming to work to help me make my stay at Sunrise of Redmond the best that it can be. And if you come to Sunrise of Redmond for a visit. Be prepared! We smile a lot. If you walk in the door with a frown on your face. When you leave the frown will have been replaced with a smile. Paraphrasing the old Tina Turner song, "above all the rest, Sunrise of Redmond is simply the best!" I cannot say enough about how helpful and caring Sunrise was especially the Redmond location. They were super responsive in a time of immediate need to help us with an aging elder whose care givers were in need of respite. And even though Sunrise helped jump through the process quick to provide us respite the care givers decided on a different route due to other circumstances. Sunrise was very kind and understanding. During our tours we were very impressed with the facility and the staff. The residents looked very well taken care of.

When my family and I initially toured Sunrise of Redmond for my mother, we were impressed by the facility and caretaking staff. However, once we moved my mother in, she has not received the care we were told she was supposed to be given. The managers stated that she will get the highest level of care (which is the highest tier price point) i.e. when she presses her call button, caretakers will come within 15 minutes. In some cases, they do. But there are times where my mother has to wait for over an hour to get assistance to go the bathroom. Nobody should have to wait that long and feel uncomfortable and alone in their own bed. It's frustrating to know that Sunrise didn't uphold their promise in their level of care. We appreciate how kind the caretakers are, but there seems to be mismanagement and lack of staff overall. -Update 6/2023- Sunrise management recently reached out to my family and I and have reviewed how they can make improvements for my mother. We appreciate their willingness to hear our feedback and will work with us on next steps to help my mom feel more comfortable.

She was an early depositer, so I was able to follow the renovation and keep in touch with Ashley, Chris, Debbie and Natalie throughout the whole process. Opening a building is no easy task, but their communication and attention to detail was amazing and my client was at ease throughout the whole process. The team here is spectacular and they really focus on making sure their residents are happy. As a Realtor who assists the aging population in selling their homes, it’s been great getting to know the team here and know that if I send anyone their way, they’ll be well cared for and happy living there.
