My mom was at Orchard Pointe Care for 31-2 years and was well cared for from a warm, caring, professional staff. I was always able to ask questions and talk about concerns with the R.N. or staff members. I enjoyed spending time with mom out in the fenced back yard with a meandering sidewalk. I loved talking with the staff while visiting my mom. They were encouraging for me and were a source of support and friendship. Thank you Orchard Pointe for making it a home away from home for my mom.

I am a physician and have a number of patients at Orchard Pointe and visit them there. I am very impressed with the care they are receiving. Like most 60 somethings we are facing what to do with our parents, the Greatest Generation. I finally had to face that decision last April (2014) with my then 91 year old mother. She has been on her own since 1998 and 16 years prior to that she cared for my father who was a stroke patient paralyzed on one side and unable to talk. While mom was in great shape physically for someone in their 90s her memory was starting to slip with the onset of Dementia-Alzheimer. Fortunately 4 years prior we had gone through the power of attorney stuff and I was set for both financial and health. If you havent done it yet and you have elderly parents I would suggest you do it. Anyway I took control, told mom she was coming to live with us for awhile and that was it. She really had no reason to be in her current home by herself 600 miles from us. We got her moved, got her settled, got her eating right and taking her medications on a regular basis. Now came the job of finding a health care facility that would care for her with dignity. After searching for 3 months, interviewing, visiting facilities etc I finally settled on Orchard Pointe Memory Care Facility in Port Orchard, WA. Their facility was nicely kept, the administration staff were great and the support and medical staff genuinely cared about their clients. I cant say enough about their care and mom is very content their. They have many daily activities to keep their clients busy and their minds working What is also nice is that their fees are reasonable and the fact that they accept Medicaid quicker than any other facility that I visited. If you are looking for a place for your loved one I would whole heartily recommend Orchard Pointe Memory Care Facility. Kevin Entze

Working at Orchard Pointe MCC for almost 6 years, I feel as if it is the foundation of my life. Every day is a new learning experience for me, and every day I go to work I leave more of my heart with the family we build there with the residents and coworkers. We provide great care, love and in my opinion, the best knowledge to whomever is willing to listen. I wouldnt be who I am today without everyone there. We are all blessed to have each other, and to learn from each other.

The staff at Orchard Pointe Memory Care made the last 3 years of my mom, Joan Dolfins, life bearable for both her and her family. I will never be able to thank them enough for the care they gave her, and I will treasure them all as extended family members. In particular, the last week of my moms life was especially difficult, and without their involvement in helping make my last visit with her as fulfilling as possible, I would probably not have had a very good last memory of her. They truly made a positive difference in her last years and for that we, her family, will always be grateful. Thank you all so much!!!
