Our family is deeply grateful to everyone at Regency at Newcastle for the exceptional care they provided to my mom during the few short months she lived there before her passing on 7/1/2026. From the moment she arrived, she was treated with kindness, dignity, and genuine compassion. The staff went above and beyond to make her comfortable, and it brought our family tremendous peace knowing she was surrounded by people who truly cared. What has impressed us just as much is the continued care they provide for my stepdad. The team consistently treats him with patience, respect, and heartfelt compassion, and it means more to our family than words can express. During one of the most difficult seasons of our lives, the caregivers, nurses, and staff at Regency at Newcastle became more than healthcare professionals they became a source of comfort and support for our entire family. We will always be grateful for the love, dedication, and humanity they showed both my mom and continue to show my stepdad. Thank you to everyone at Regency at Newcastle for the extraordinary difference you make in the lives of your residents and their families. Your compassion will never be forgotten.

I’ve been really impressed with the positive changes happening at this community. Over the past several months, the transitions they’ve made have clearly been for the better, and it shows in both the atmosphere and the quality of care. The community offers a wonderful range of options, from Independent Living to Assisted Living, which allows residents to find the level of support that fits their needs while still maintaining independence. One of the things that stands out most is the high resident-to-staff ratio—team members are attentive, responsive, and truly seem to know the residents personally. The amenities are also exceptional. Having on-site rehabilitation services makes recovery and ongoing wellness much easier for residents. The pool and wellness opportunities help people stay active, while the organized life enrichment programing and excursions give residents plenty of chances to get out, explore, and stay socially engaged. The dining experience feels more like fine dining than typical community meals, with quality food and a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, this community is creating an environment where residents can feel supported, engaged, and comfortable. With the recent improvements and strong staff presence, it’s clear they are committed to continuing to raise the bar for senior living.

I checked out Regency Newcastle last week and I felt warmth throughout my visit. I was kindly greeted with a nice smile and welcoming tone from Marie at the front desk. Marie introduced me to Regency’s Executive Director, Carissa Brumell. Carissa was very generous with her time, and her passion for her work really shined through. She showed me one of their first floor apartments with wonderful high ceilings and an open floor plan. During the tour, I met Doug who described many of the fun activities he runs for the residents. Wrapping up our tour in the dining room, all of the residents seemed so happy, which added to the fantastic environment at Regency Newcastle. I would be very comfortable recommending Regency for anyone first and foremost desiring a place that feels like home. Carissa and her team impressed in every possible way.

Every time I visit the community the staff are so gracious, kind and welcoming. Everyone is very responsive and helpful to any question or request. Dining has recently gone through changes resulting in a higher end quality food comparable to fine dining. Residents have very positive things to say of the leadership changes and having their concerns addressed. As a business owner I found this impressive. Overall, as long term care goes, great value for your money. I would highly recommend this community for short or long term stays.

I can’t say enough great things about Regency Newcastle Senior Living. From the moment you walk in, the community feels warm, welcoming, and inviting. The building is always clean and well-maintained, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into creating a comfortable environment for residents. What truly stands out is the staff. Everyone is incredibly professional, communicative, and genuinely friendly. They go out of their way to make residents feel valued and supported, and it really shows in the overall atmosphere of the community. The food is amazing, and there are always great options to enjoy. They also host fun themed happy hours twice a week, which residents really look forward to. On top of that, there’s a robust calendar of outings and enriching programs that keep residents engaged, active, and connected. It’s clear that Regency Newcastle Senior Living is dedicated to providing not just care, but a vibrant and enjoyable lifestyle for the people who live there.

I recently took a tour after a recommendation to consider Regency. The guide was kind, informative, and professional. I was shown the amenities and the apartment seemed adequate. However, I did not see many activities going on or see things on their calendar that would have interested me.

I left this review two years ago. Since that time there has been a management turnover. It has decimated the facility. They lost top people. Turnover has been ongoing. They can't keep good people. The compassion that ran through the organization has been replaced by fear-of-management. Staff now focuses on the Exec Director as opposed to residents. The food service has dramatically changed for the worse. The good service has deteriorated. Meal time talk seems to focus on resident disappointment and the number of residents that have gone. It is no longer a comfortable place to reside. I write this review now that my partner no longer resides there. She aged beyond their service capabilities. Now safely ensconced in a new circumstance, I feel free to revise this review. Below is the review written about Regency before the management was replaced. My partner just moved into Regency Newcastle after an exhaustive review of services as well as experience selecting and witnessing services for parents. I am blown away at the space, personnel and services at Regency. This is not a corporate facility. It is a large, established 2nd generation family run facility and offers all the benefits you would hope to find in such a place. I must start with the staff. They are incredible. To have a person move in and on the first day have staff from food service, housekeeping, tech, the front desk all walk up, introduce themselves and welcome us by name was so warm. Such consistent warmth and courtesy from the staff starts at the top. Executive Director Raminder Nijjar has used her extensive experience along with her own vision to create an atmosphere unequalled around down. Her staff training is obvious. She has created a culture within the facility that quickly embraces new residents and encourages participation and belonging to everyone. Brittanie Summers has the kind of warmth and energy you hope for loved ones. All of the executives are onlocation and visible daily at the facility. It is an involved, inclusive, hands-on female management group that has created the standards of care. It cannot be surpassed. Now, as for the facility. I have never seen such a generous care facility. The rooms are spacious, clean and warm. The entire facility is bright and clean. Activities are plentiful. Imagine having happy hour twice a week, with the facility providing the wine and hors'doeurves. Food service included...with treats like cinnimon rolls and pecan pie! A crafts room that supplies acrylic paints, brushes and canvases (not just paper). They have exercise....and even a pool! To be clear. I am not affiliated with Regency New Castle. I am the partner of a new resident. I was wary and critical in looking for where my loved one would move. I have lived here with her for a week to be sure she acclimated and was welcome and comfortable. I could not be more pleased. I encourage you to include Regency in your search. It is standout.

My Dad stayed here for a 2 week respite stay this past June and really enjoyed his visit. The facility is clean and brightly lit. Staff is very friendly, helpful, and hospitable. Everything is run smoothly and management is organized. Residents are super friendly and made him feel at home. Would definitely recommend this facility to anyone needing independent or assisted living.

My Mom recently moved into Regency Newcastle and I spent about a month with her while she was acclimating to her new place. The thing that struck me the most is how kind the entire staff is to the residents! Starting with the front desk, the dining crew, the caretakers and the administrators. It’s a very nice place!

Really nice executive director and front desk personnel. There are things that could be improved like staffing for meals and front desk hours. It closes up lock tight at 7pm and they don’t unlock till 9am so that makes visiting a little difficult. We have encountered a few other issues but they get worked out fairly well. The food has been great and that is a big part of daily enjoyment/conversation. The PT’s have been top notch and really helped a lot! This is what we have been most thankful for.

I recently moved my mom and stepdad into Regency Newcastle. It was a great move, they felt at home right from the beginning, and the staff and residents have been very friendly and welcoming. Their apartment is first class, roomy and well taken care of. I highly recommend it for folks who are needing more help or will need a bit more help in the near future.

I had few concerns about the respite care I received at Heritage Newcastle. I’m not a wallflower. I make my concerns promptly known, so they are immediately addressed. It’s a very positive atmosphere because they care about your comfort. I very much enjoy garden club, exercise, drumming, trivia and sometimes bingo depending on my mood and to do list. There are plenty of other options, so my day is rarely boring. The nurses are friendly and very attentive. For these reasons and more, I’m moving in to one of their studio apartments. With my meals prepared I can get a great deal of writing done and know I will not sit too long on any given day. As apartment prices rise, this place is a good deal.
