Geewhere to start? From the moment we first walked into The Gardens at Town Square we were impressed with the ambience of the setting. It was like going on vacation. Truly. Witnessing the joy-filled comportment that dotted the faces of the residents of the Gardens was a great start. We were made instantly aware of the professional demeanor of those that welcomed us at the front desk, and additionally by both the Administrative staffand those amazing caretakers. We witnessed some of the residents engaged in an energetic coffee klatch in the Bistro. The aroma of coffee and fresh baked cookies was intoxicatingI hope no one saw me hasten away with one of those delicious morsels! The crumbs on my chin belied my guilty escapade. Our Mother (In-Law to me) had a lovely one bedroom apartment that was attended to by an energetically kind staff. Her safety and dignity were a top priority of her care. A while later she transitioned into Memory Care on the Terrace. There was no drop-off in how staff attenuated to her needsand yes, that important wordDIGNITY. Top notch care notwithstanding, we are thrilled by the flurry of activities the residents of the Terrace have access to on a daily basisreminded me of Summer Camp really. The only thing missing during the sing-along was a crackling campfire and gooey S’mores! Additionally, the Terrace offers not only an activity Commons, but the Dahlia room is a special spot suffused with the comforts and accoutrements (typed with a French accent) of home. Engaging in Knitting ClubsDrama Script readingsand a welcome array of special interest books that can be enjoyed in the arms of a couch or perhaps a lounge chair. Ahhhhh! We enthusiastically recommend the Gardens at Town Square as a safe haven for current and prospective tenants. A safe haven? Home really. My family and I can’t say enough good things about The Gardens at Town Square!! My mother was in assisted living (also wonderful) for a few months prior to transitioning to The Terrace memory care unit of The Gardens. The care my mother has received at The Terrace over the past 8 months has been exceptional. I truly cannot say enough about the wonderful caretakers and other staff members here. Every single caretaker has gone above and beyond to ensure that my mother is well taken care of. These souls are incredibly kind, compassionate, empathetic and highly skilled. Furthermore, the facility is clean and safe with delicious food and a variety of fun activities and light exercises. I would say The Terrace has become another family for Mom. The joy each staff member brings to The Terrace is palpable”-making it truly a special place to live as well as to visit.™

Moving to the Gardens at Town Square was a huge step for my parents. As a family, we felt that the Gardens was the right place for them because it had such a homey feel to it. The welcoming spirit created by the staff and residents gives the place a real sense of community. Before long, my parents made friends and found enjoyment in the activities, especially the frequent musical entertainment and great meals in the dining room. Recently, my mother moved to the memory care area. The director, Sarah, and the staff went out of their way to help us with this transition. Due to the skill and attentiveness of the caregivers, my mom feels safe and comfortable while enjoying the daily activities. It has become her home away from home.

When my Mother broke her hip several years ago, we found her a new home at The Gardens at Town Square. What a lucky thing! We love the community she has become a part of. Staff is friendly and caring, knowing my Mother and her friends by name. The wellness team under the direction of Julie provides us a wonderful sense of safety with their expertise and kind, personal attention. The building is well maintained and has a cozy, European grand hotel vibe. Activities are well-planned and creative. We often remark to each other how glad we are to be part of the community of friends at The Gardens.

My husband, Keith, and I have been at the Gardens for just six weeks, but we could not be happier with our choice. From the first time we walked in the door, we have been impressed with the feeling of community. The open and welcoming atmosphere has made our move so much easier, and we have so enjoyed the wide range of activities. It's a lovely place with a great staff, and we are happy to be here.

My mom just moved into the gardens, which was not her choice as her doctor recommended it and us kids knew it was in her best interest. She was not happy about it. But within 1 month of her living there, she is having a great time! The staff is so wonderful and made the move-in smooth and easy! Her apartment is so cute and looks out over the courtyard. She has met so many people and goes to so many activities she never had the chance before. Best thing we could have done for "Mom"!

I have had the pleasure to photograph The Gardens at Town Square and work with Kamryn Wenner on the Community Relations Team. She is phoenomenal! Very kind, detailed, organized and a pleasure to spend time with. This retirement community is beautifully appointed with friendly, helpful team members and lovely residents. The homes are light and bright, open and airy. The courtyard and its pretty gardens are a great place to relax. I would highly recommend Kamryn Wenner and The Gardens at Town Square.

Moving my parents to the Gardens has been a positive experience for all of us. The staff is really great and there to help. They have a great selection of activities every day. I would recommend it.

The Gardens is great but so expensive. Thankfully mom can afford it. I only wish that when mom has haircut appointment or mani/pedi they would come get her. She has dementia and only getting worse but not bad enough to go to the Terrace. My sister and I help all we can taking care of her with food, TP, Loitions, shots,ect but she misses hair appointments all the time. Even when we call 15min before appointment. So not sure what to do about that. Any suggestions? Thanks

The staff has been friendly and helpful. A neighbor stopped by to welcome my mom upon moving in. The driver remembered my mom’s name and that he’s scheduled to drive her to a doctor appointment in a couple days. The kitchen appliances are brand new and the apartment is spotless! I think my mom will love living in the heart of downtown Bellevue, especially being so close to the library.

Updating because this review still rings accurate to my experience, even two years later. Pretty typical. Lovely look but as regimented and emotionally sterile as any of the institutional care solutions. My mom was here for 4 years and we finally gave up. They kept escalating costs and intrusive care until we were basically forced to move her out. Thank god we did, she would have died of institutional overkill if we didn’t get her out. It is pretty. The largely immigrant staff are sweet. The administration is typical, meaning liability- focused and very protective of their image (I.e. hide the less functional residents from prospective families) and cautious. Costs are designed to ratchet up to extraordinary amounts once they get you locked in. My mom (as with others we got to know) were eventually refused access to the pretty dining room because she didn’t fit the well-groomed image they wish to project. Not bitter, just giving an honest assessment. They wipe out the reviews periodically (which is why there are only 9 or 10 despite years of operation), so it is hard to get a good picture. My caution is to look at the patients on the memory care and decide if that is what you want for your parent, because as they age, they will send your parent there to finish out their time.

The one thing I've always noticed that stands out about the Gardens is their staff and level of care they demonstrate. We are a local Moving Company that has worked with the Gardens and Era Living for over a decade now and through the years every time I've personally been on site there is always active involvement with the staff, always somebody there to help, residents are greeted by their name and everyone seems to feel comfortable. That is a testament to good management. Not to mention, the building is always real clean! Would highly recommend for prospective residents.

My father has been at The Gardens for 2.5 years and loves it. The facility looks like a country club and the staff is amazing, always friendly, caring, and helpful. The dining experience is so good that my father doesn't want to go out to eat. There is always something to do because of the daily activities, speakers, outings, and nightly movies and he has made quite a few new friends. We highly recommend the Gardens at Town Square.
