My dad has been a resident at Harmony for some time now and after recent hospital and rehabilitation stay he is finally transitioning back to his apartment. This transition process has been made easier by the help of Anna, Lisa and Ms. Barbara. Anna spent time with my dad making sure he was comfortable with the process and the new level of care he would need. Lisa has always been very welcoming and made sure to check in with us as we were making preparations for his return. Ms. Barbara has always been very kind to my dad, even at times when he was being difficult. She often goes above and beyond. We are happy to get him back to his apartment and glad it is at Harmony.

We just moved my uncle to Harmony from another assisted living community. The staff has been great to work with and very responsive to any questions and concerns. My uncle is very happy with the move and the responsiveness of the staff!

I cannot say enough good things about the Harmony at Roanoke--Assisted Living. We recently moved our loved one there, who suffers with mild dementia. They went out of the way, in many ways, to make him feel comfortable and welcomed. The little things meant more than the realize. Heck, I'd like to live there myself!

They have horrible dining room supervision! My parents sit at their table completely ignored for 30+ minutes on a daily basis. I get texts nearly every day documenting this. I personally experienced this when visiting. We addressed it to management multiple times and it’s not any better. We hear excuses (new chef being hired, dining room manager on vacation; all things businesses need to plan for). They have all of the residents eat at the same time, but do not pay any attention to them, don’t bring them beverages, don’t pick up their meal selections (it’s not taking orders, residents just mark directly on the papers, the servers simply need to pick them up at the table). A motivated high school student could fix this, and yet months into the problems we just hear excuses. If I could move them closer I would. But moving when you are 88 is very hard. They chose to stay close to their home and doctors. They pay for service and support at a place that says they provide both. Great website, lovely facility, seriously lacking some basics, which makes residents feel marginalized and ignored. I did reach out to the Regional Director, after much communication with local management, but she hasn’t returned my call

Although the facility is beautiful, it was hard moving my mother from her home of 60 years. Weve learned that its more than assisted living; its a neighborhood. Lisa and the staff look after my mother. From walking, to planting flowers, to group games, they keep her involved. And the other residents have taken her under their watchful eyes. It is a relief to know she is safe and cared for. Thank you, Harmony.

Recently had to make the difficult decision of having to place my father to an assisted living facility. I was dreading the process and I knew it might be a struggle to find a quality assisted living facility that he would agree to live at. Once we took him for a visit the staff was so friendly and the residents really seemed to truly enjoy their community. I personally live over 1,100 miles away in Texas so I really had a peace of mind with the facility and the care he would receive. They have very accommodating to help him make this transition easy for him. During covid they have taken extra measures to keep each of the guests safe. They also will assist the residents to have zoom calls as well. Its nice to know that hes being well taken care of. Its been years since he has socialized with others so to hear him talk about different people he talked to has been very rewarding.

The staff and management at Harmony AL are AMAZING people! The kitchen staff makes sure our residents are well taken care of and the food is AMAZING! The Housekeeping staff makes sure the entire building looks and smells amazing. The maintenance guy is always willing to help make our new residents have what they need before move ins. The nursing staff does an amazing job making sure all residents needs are met before their shift ends! The concierge staff always greets families and also helps families get answers to any questions they have. All in all Harmony AL is an amazing place if you are looking for friendly caring generous people to leave your loved one with this is the place you should definitely look into!

The staff and residents are warm and caring people. This building is beautiful and a perfect place for any loved one to live. It is full of amazing activities for everyone and the clinical staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful for any needs you may have.

The staff and facility are excellent! The staff always treat my Mom with respect and are so caring. You can tell that they have a heart for the elderly. My Mom tells me that the food is wonderful. Unbelievable desserts too! The activities coordination is exceptional. I would highly recommend.
