My sister moved to Brookdale about 9 months ago. This was a big move for her—she moved across the country from a house she had lived in for over 25 years. The team at Brookdale, starting with the sales team and continuing with everyone on-site could not have been more helpful and welcoming. We were overwhelmed with how much effort was made for her arrival and her early days. She had other residents to eat with, people checking in on her, showing her around and making sure she had what she needed. I can’t say there weren’t any bumps along the way—but nothing serious or unsettling. And as many of them (or maybe more) were from our misunderstanding or just miscommunication. Whenever an issue was brought to light, a good, workable solution was easily found. We would not be able to have her living as she is without the additional support provided by Brookdale-At-Home. This service is available for a reasonable fee and they are flexible on services provided and schedule. For our situation, it has proven to be both necessary and reassuring. The entire team at Brookdale is enthusiastic, engaged and available. I believe they all are happy to be there, working with the residents!

In the time my Mother was a resident, my sisters and I were impressed in the employees and facility. The sales and maintenance staff helped us move in. The chef took an interest in our mothers diet and favorite foods. The head nurse was very knowledgeable and kind. The receptionist was patient and friendly. The Director was very accessible. Everyone was helpful and attentive to Mom. The team pitched in together like a family to accommodate our needs. They were very understanding as we worked through the challenges and transitions.

Mom has been a resident of Brookdale Midlothian for just about a year and her experience has been very positive. The environment at Brookdale is very much like home and the staff has always gone above and beyond to help Mom and her cat. Mom has really improved over the last year and the atmosphere at Brookdale has been a big part of the growth. Great good and friendly staff! I suggest that anyone looking for assisted living take a hard look at Brookdale...truly the best!!

The community is very clean and the line staff are so amazing. They make you feel welcome and the residents are well taken care of. It was a great pleasure to interact with their Chef Melvin. He is such an awesome person who really take his job very seriously. All in all I will encourage families to consider Brookdale Midlothian as their first choice of senior living. Amazing home for seniors.

My mother was at Brookdale for 6 years. I want to thank everyone there who cared for her and took the time to make her feel special. Brookdale took her back, after a stay in the hospital, at a time when she needed a tremendous amount of care. They patiently nursed her back to health and helped to extend her life. She said when she returned from the hospital that she felt like she was going home. For her last six months there she was in Kindred hospice care. They were wonderful to her. They could not have been kinder, if they were caring for their own mother. Caring for someone who is sick is difficult and often thankless. The staff at Brookdale and with Kindred treated my mother with dignity and compassion. They are saints to me, and will always have a special place in my heart.

I perform music at this facility. All of the staff I have encountered are personal and caring with their interactions with the residents. The residents that I talk to seem to enjoy their time here. I know that the activity directors provide them with activities to provide the residents with memorable experiences. They also have churches whose congregants volunteer their time to come have a church services with the residents!

My mom lived here for four months. Unfortunately she was on hospice care at the end and this was her final home. I have to say, it took me a while to understand what to expect at an assisted living facility. It is not 24 hour care. But I will say, many of the staff members treated mom like family. They were very responsive to my needs and willing to meet with me whenever i wanted. She passed in a warm and loving environment with staff by her side. I am very grateful to Brookdale for providing the love and support we needed during a very difficult time.

We have been very pleased with Brookdale. My mother in law had been in rehab and the family searched for an assisted living. In visiting many places on their own, they decided to try Brookdale. We have all been very pleased. My mother in law loves it here with all of her new friends. The staff is great! We love Emily! The family holiday feast was wonderful! The food was delicious! They have many activities here. Thanks Brookdale!

Tonight was Brookdale's Family Night-Holiday Party. It was wonderful! The chef prepared foods were delicious and beautifully presented. Our dining room was very Christmassy and many of the staff were present to serve family and friends. Piano music played softly in the background as everyone enjoyed great food, great service and a joyfully great time!

I want to be a positive voice for Brookdale. My mom has been at Brookdale Midlothian for almost 4 years. Based on the extensive documentation provided and the personal consultation we received prior to our choosing Brookdale, I was and am very famiiar with what they offer to their Assisted Living residents. This is NOT a facility that is designed to provide skilled nursing care but they do allow you to bring in skilled nurses, personal caregivers, and hospice when more than assisted living level care is needed so that your loved one can remain in their environment. I have found the staff to be caring and friendly. There are some who are EXTRAORDINARY. I have witnessed real love being shown to my mom on many occasions. The management has been responsive and willing to listen whenever there has been an issue. It is important for the families of the residents to be involved and to communicate when they have questions or concerns. Like everything in life, Brookdale is not perfect but I would recommend their Assisted Living unit without hesitation. It is a home-like atmosphere with very nice people - both those who work there and those who live there.

My mother has been in the assisted living community of Brookdale Midlothian for 9 months and our family is very pleased with the staff there. Mom loves her new home and is receiving excellent care. The staff is very attentive to her and she has made many new friends. Prior to her moving to Brookdale, she had been living at home alone and my siblings and I were constantly concerned about her health and well being. We no longer have these concerns.
