Okay so it’s only been three days since move in day for my grandparent with dementia. This place is AMAZING! The staff is attentive. They’ve got my grandmother participating in activities. She’s getting three full meals a day. Her studio apartment is adorable. The overall look of the building; living room, garden, porch, reading nook so nice and calming. Wonderful design and decor. The smell, yeah I said it, the smell in the building is like WHOA! It smells like flowers/clean linen/hotel clean © and that’s everywhere!! Literally the whole building and the apartments. Even the restroom for guests/family is lovely, clean, fresh scent. There’s not a gnat or bug anywhere. Not a crumb or stain anywhere!!! Again, the staff members/management are amazing, kind, attentive and UNDERSTAND memory care!!! They truly do care. This is NOT a ploy/fake system here to get people in and then leave them to sit and rot like do many other facilities. Chantilly Heights is LEGIT/OUTSTANDING!!! Residents aren’t a number. They’re not treated like less than human. They’re NOT left alone!!! This is NOT a regular memory care environment. This is a place for those with dementia/Alzheimer’s to LIVE. People aren’t stuck in their rooms to their own devices/they’re not sitting around left to their own devices. I’m beyond relieved to have my grandmother here. It’s a relief to know she’s finally in a SAFE and well cared for environment that will keep her mind and body as ACTIVE. Oh and my grandmother really LIKES this place. We couldn’t be happier with the care and atmosphere at this senior memory care community. The staff is incredibly friendly, compassionate, and knowledgeable about dementia care, which has been so important for our family. The rooms are spotless and well maintained, and they truly create a warm, welcoming environment. I especially appreciate that they (Michelle and her staff) offer helpful webinars for families and caregivers, which provide insights into how to best support our loved ones. Each week, residents enjoy entertainment and live music”my mom loves it! Even when she chimes in during performances with her own hip hop riffs, the staff doesn’t just tolerate it, they compliment her and invite her to be part of the fun. The nurse in charge(Hannah) and her staff are also very knowledgeable and on top of her care and knows how to order the right DME to make my mom have comfort. Most importantly, they treat every resident with genuine respect and dignity. That’s exactly what we were looking for, and we’re so grateful we found it here.

A Truly Supportive Memory Care Community My mom has lived at Chantilly Heights Memory Care since December 2022, and our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. Fun fact: she earned the rare distinction of being the first (and to my knowledge, still only) resident to move herself in - meaning she was physically fit enough to do it with me and a U-Haul we rented together! I spent six months researching facilities before choosing Chantilly Heights, specifically looking for a community dedicated solely to memory care (rather than combined assisted living/memory care facilities). After firsthand, residency experiences with two other facilities and reviewing many more, I became convinced that a specialized memory care environment would be best for my mom. Chantilly Heights (then known as Arbor Terrace Fairfax) has consistently proven that belief correct. When I first toured, Cre Jackson, the Facilities Director, was the first person to take me around. Cre set a welcoming tone from the start and has remained a trusted advisor ever since. Rachel Moore later guided us through onboarding and did a stellar job walking us through every step. While Rachel has since moved on, my experience has been that from the front desk to the kitchen team to management and care staff, the people at Chantilly Heights genuinely care. It's clear for many that elder care isn't just a job - it's a calling - and the emotional intelligence they show daily is remarkable. That said, no place is perfect. There have been periodic staffing changes (common in this industry), and about six months after my mom moved in, Arbor Terrace divested, with Hamister Group taking over and rebranding the community as Chantilly Heights. That transition brought challenges, but through it all, the team - particularly Executive Director Brian Zurakowski - remained committed and supportive. This is hard work, and not everyone is cut out for it - but the staff here perform beautifully at a very difficult and important job. As the only child of two parents facing late-stage degenerative disease, I can say this journey has been made far more manageable thanks to the team at Chantilly Heights. I believe strongly that contractual relationships should be rooted in fairness and satisfaction, and Brian's team has more than upheld their end over the last three years I've been involved with them. During my mom's time there, she transitioned from the higher-functioning to the lower-functioning neighborhood, giving me a full view of the community's care across different needs and stages. Based on this experience, I've confidently recommended Chantilly Heights to several friends - and two have since moved their own parents in. In closing: If you're considering Chantilly Heights, don't base your decision solely on Yelp reviews (including mine!). Visit. Talk to the staff. Ask for family referrals - I know many caregivers like myself would be happy to share our experiences.

My mother lives there and I think she likes it. It is a nice place. The activities there are very nice. They will have a party and it is fun for all, the people that live there and the families. I think they should do something once a month with the families. If I had to say something that needs to be improved, I would say the food because it is nothing to write home about. The macaroni was brown and even the cupcakes were not very good and I have a major sweet tooth. The parties are so much fun but the food kinda stinks! I know my mother is safer in the place she is in, so I think our family feels much better that she is there. 🙂

Just attended a wonderful event, December To Remember, at Chantilly Heights Memory care.. Local business up light displays for a competition, they had free hot chocolate, a horse drawn carriage, Elvis singing, and of course Santa and Mrs. Clause also attended. There were craft projects and a beautiful light ceremony to honor loved ones past and present with Alzheimer’s. Truly a beautiful event !

We had an amazing time at Chantilly Heights for A December to Remember event. We enjoyed an evening of beautiful light displays, hot chocolate, carriage rides, arts & crafts, and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. We ended this evening with a luminary ceremony in honor and memory for all those that we have lost or have been battling dementia and Alzheimer’s. I do not have a loved one at the facility nor have I participated in any activities with residence however today I got to attend a wonderful winter holiday celebration hosted by the facility. I enjoyed in the festivities from the chariot horse rides, and wonderful drinks provided by the beverage truck to the fantastic light displays and arts and crafts with entertainment of Elvis. It was so wonderful seeing smiles and the residence here having such a merry time, and I’m glad the presence of our KickHouse Chantilly family was able to contribute to the warmth of the festivities with the Chantilly Heights Memory Care Community!

After being my wife's care giver for some years it came to a point where she needed a living situation where she could be safe, active, and receive the care for her advancing Alzheimer's. After an exhaustive search of visiting more than a dozen plus communities, I selected Chantilly Heights Memory Care and am exceedingly happy I did. The staff is amazing, empathetic and caring. My wife is active throughout every day and evening with activities and events that always include family involvement. Nutritious meals are prepared in their kitchen and fresh snacks and hydration is offered throughout the day. Personal assistance is offered for all hygiene, dressing, and bathroom needs. My wife is safe and happy and cared for.

I LOVE everything about Chantilly Heights Memory Care! I recently facilitated a LEGO Serious Play event there with residents and their wonderful families!! The families KNOW and articulated so well how much they love the staff at Chantilly Heights because they care so deeply about the residents! The staff truly treats residents and their families like gold and I experienced that first hand! For residents who didn’t have family members present to build LEGO models with, the staff eagerly jumped in to build with them to ensure they didn’t miss out on the fun!! My BIL was fortunate to have been accepted as a resident at the previous Arbor Terrace in 2017. It was amazing to see how much the continuous and steady care from the staff helped him to maintain a certain amount of normal life and slow down the steady affects of this dreadful disease. When the Hamister Group LLC took over in the spring of 2023 and renamed the facility Chantilly Heights, the transition from one company to another was so smooth, one could not tell the difference. Due to the incredible work of the management team and staff, the care and concern for the residents has stayed top priority. In my mind, they have not missed a beat. Even with the ravages of the disease enveloping my BIL more and more now, the care and attention given to him has stayed top notch. Not only is my BIL receiving excellent care, staff is also giving me every assistance and support to make it easier for me to care and assist my BIL. Chantilly Heights is a God send to patients and care givers as well a great asset to the community. So fortunate to have found Chantilly Heights.

Our mother was a resident of Arbor Terrace Fairfax for ten months, initially living in the Bridges Neighborhood and transitioning to the Discovery Neighborhood. As a family member, I cannot say enough good things about the care she received during her stay there. It is never easy moving a loved one into memory care, but I highly recommend Arbor Terrace Fairfax. The facility itself is well maintained and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are bright and the living/common areas are spacious for residents and their guests. There is a lovely outdoor courtyard for each neighborhood where residents can spend time with loved ones. Daily activities are varied and engaging for those that can participate. The staff at Arbor Terrace Fairfax is excellent! From our first meeting with Rachel, it was evident that the residents were in good hands as we walked around and met some of the folks that live there. The administrators and caregivers truly care about the residents, as well as their families, and treat each with kindness, compassion and dignity. They are always willing to go above and beyond to make sure each resident is taken care of and shown the love and respect they deserve. During our mother's stay at Arbor Terrace Fairfax, she faced many challenges, both mental and physical, and the staff worked very hard to find a solution that worked best for her. Even during her final days, she was shown so much love from every single caregiver that knew her. We are forever grateful to Edwin, Robin and their staff for doing their very best to take care of our mother.

Arbor Terrace Fairfax (ATF) has been my Mom's home for the a little over a year. From the move-in process to the present I have been continually blessed and impressed with the friendly, loving, and professional experience my family and I have experienced. The Nurses, Care Givers, Activity Personnel, and Administrative/Operational/Management team all work together to create an living community that is safe, clean, creative, and fun. I am convinced that God is using ATF and their employees to provide a little bit of heaven on earth for my Mom. The employees really care and are fully engaged in providing a home experience for each of the residence. I can not say enough wonderful things. I am so very grateful! If you need a memory care facility for your loved one, I highly recommend ATF. The pictures are of the facility as well as a couple of my Mom in ATF before COVID prevented us from visiting. I look forward to being able to visit again. I loved visiting each week and participating in the various activities.

My aunt has been at Arbor Terrace Fairfax for three and a half years. She was one of the first people to enter when it opened in March of 2017. During this time she has been well cared for, the staff is very compassionate, and I have no concerns about her care and well-being. It has been a difficult time during covid as anyone with a loved one in long-term care facility knows. Arbor Terrace is doing all they can to keep everybody safe and engaged in living their life.

The Arbor culture is amazing! The culture starts from the sheep in the front lawn, as you enter the front door of Arbor Terrace of Fairfax. Kim greets you with a smile and always engages in conversation. All front office doors are open and inviting, more importantly, I have observed on many occasions that these open doors promotes communication with their residents, care partners and resident family members. The dementia friendly layout, gem levels, separate neighborhoods, nursing oversight, activities and rehab support on sight are just a few of the reasons I have and will continue to refer. Erika Young, the Executive Director and the staff at Arbor Fairfax believe in family. Their family focus and creating a home where all of the residents can age with dignity, especially with the cognitive challenges with this community, stays to life 24 hours daily. From the housekeeping, the dining, the CNA care, the nursing care, the activities, the Rehab group, to the front office staff, everyone wants to provide an extremely nurturing and inclusive atmosphere. The residents are shown so much respect and encouragement and Arbor Fairfax is a place I would recommend highly for your loved one who is in need of an experienced dementia only senior living community.

Arbor Terrace is a great place for elderly people with memory loss who are easy to deal with. This place basically only takes easy going seniors who need assisted living. Arbor doesn't really understand how to deal with all dementia patients. They refused to take my father because there's a language barrier and he's more difficult to handle. English was his second language, but in his stage of dementia, he has reverted back to his first language. The problem is they advertise they're trained and can handle dementia cases, but they are actually not very skilled or knowledgeable on the stages of dementia. The bottom line is, THEY WANT TO TAKE THE EASIEST PATIENTS. Don't even bother if your loved one already has advanced dementia or is generally difficult to deal with.
