It is like home and my Mom is so very up beat and happy here. Thank you to the staff for all they do to make her safe and like she matters. It took a long time to find a place like this and we're so pleased with them for the care they give and the attitude that everyone matters.

My Grandmother lives here and we have seen an improvement in her. She enjoys the people here and that she is able to be as independent as she wants. The staff here is so wonderful and caring. It is a blessing to know that she is safe and well taken care of by all the amazing people at Brookdale Lake Shore.

When my mom was no longer able to live in her senior community in August of 2018, I had a very short time to find a suitable new home for her. Complicating the situation was she (and I) was located in Dallas, TX, but her wish and her son-in-law-grandchildrens wish was to re-locate to Waco (~110 miles south of Dallas) where they were. So walking into Brookdale Lakeshore for the 1st time was very stressful, as Id been to a couple of other senior communities in the Waco area that were highly recommended, yet when I visited them they were either poorly maintained or the staff were indifferent to our challenges (or both). THANK GOD WE FOUND BROOKDALE LAKESHORE! My girlfriend (now wife) is a health insurance agency owner had suggested we check them out, and we immediately knew it was the place for my mom. From day 1, the management team there (Betty and Ed) took the time to hear our needs and reassure us that she would get excellent care there. She is currently in her own 1 bedroom apartment as she is still able to manage the majority of her daily needs. But the staff is always available and willing to help her with other tasks that she occasionally forgets how to do. Brookdale Lakeshore just blew away the other senior living situations in the Waco area that we reviewed for cleanliness, support, and activities for the residents. My moms 1 year anniversary there was on Oct 15th, and I cannot thank Ed, Betty, and the entire staff enough for their help, support, and love to make her living there as comfortable as possible. Its truly a relief to know that my mom is so well taken care of, and Im so thankful to have found Brookdale Lakeshore in Waco for her. I highly recommend them to anyone that has a family member who needs to be in a similar setting in the Waco, TX area to check them out for their services and see if they would be a good fit for your loved one. I would give them 10 stars if I could!!!!

Brookdale Lakeshore was the best decision we ever made for mom due to her worsening dementia. The staff Is kind and warm, and most of all she is SAFE there. She was very hesitant to leave her home. However she is nothing but smiles when we visit and has not asked to go home in the 4 months she has been there. She enjoys the many outings and activities Brookdale offers when she is not busy with her dog, that she was able to take with her 🙂 Thank you Ed and staff!

Staff is outstanding and make you feel at home! They stop at nothing to make your experience warm and inviting, from their comfortable community areas and choice of suites to exceptional outdoor landscaping. Would definitely recommend this community for the excellent care and value that is offered to families.

Love Brookdale... just what mom needed and she got to take her dog. Staff is great, food is good, courtyard relaxing and its secure! Laundry room needs a little TLC but other than that were very pleased.

Brookdale Lakeshore is the perfect place for my mother. The staff is caring and always on top of any situation that occurs. There are always activities going on and the food they serve is amazing. My mother went from 101 pounds to 118 pounds in just the short time she's been there. Every time I visit she looks healthier and happier then when she was at home. Awesome place would highly recommend.

I moved my sweet Aunt here all the way from Akron Ohio. I have loved the experience with Brookdale. The facility is well kept and secure (no one in and out without being let in), kudos to the groundskeeper as well. The activity director Janice plans great activities, Ms Betty is available and helpful always, Mr Ed always has a smile and great helpful attitude. The CNA's, Med Aids, etc. go above and beyond their jobs to help out the residents, they even chase my Aunts cat when it gets out :). And the food is great!!! I would recommend! Pattie Meier

The people at Brookdale Lakeshore in Waco have been such a God Send while helping me with my mom as she adjust to a new way of living independently. Ms Betty is so informative when I did not knowing what to do, and Mr 'Ed making sure all bases are checked and done. The staff are on their toes 24/7 with anything; anywhere that is needed or supplied or informed. The whole staff facility is so helpful and cheerful, and encouraging it makes the days more relaxed and enjoyable just being around them. I recommend this place for any person who needs a place for your loved one.It is a beautiful place and has lots of intertainment of all kinds. Thank you Brookdale Lakeshore Waco for being here.

During my time spent at Brookdale, I noticed the loving and welcoming environment from the employees to the residents. I had one resident come to me and tell me how much she appreciated the employees for all they do for her. One of the employees happened to walk by the resident and the resident hugged the employee. It was so rewarding to see the resident praise the employee for working hard. It made me realize how the employees and residents are family!

1700 Lakeshore Dr, Waco TX the best assisted living I've seen in the Heart of Texas, I have my Mother living there almost a year and she truly loves every body there, Thank you to Ms. Betty and her staff for caring for my mother, specially I want to thank Elizabeth, Donna, April, Sandra, Dee, Olga, Janice and Mary and many others that I can't remember their names If angles exists they are all truly angles. Brookedale Lakeshore facility is NOT just another choice for assisted living residents. We are amazed at the smiling faces that always greet us at the door when we come to visit. All of the staff make you feel like your loved one is the only one there. From the first week my dad arrived, everyone knew where he sits for meals and has his personal coffee cup at his place w his name, they play w him and handle him in such a personal way he is able to embrace their directions. They personally walk him to his room when he is confused and never make it seem a bother. They take a personal interest and look after his needs to the smallest details. Take a visit there and instantly enjoy a feel of home! Thank you to all who interact and work within this awesome place each and everyday, you are indeed a Blessing to the families that are entrusted to your care! We love Ms Betty and her staff at Brookdale Lakeshore. Ms Dee, Ms Olga, Ms Janice, Ms Alexia who treat our mother with the utmost love and respect. The rest of the new amazing staff (I dont know all their name yet) also getting to know her and are always so kind. The chefs make delicious meals (we know we have eaten there too) and do their best to accommodate everyones needs. The activities and outings are fun and engaging and they do a wonderful job of building community. My mom has so many friends now and it has truly been a blessing and peace of mind for us to have her in such a great environment. We already miss Ms Jaylynn but if you are looking for a great place for your loved ones give Mr Ed a call he will take great care of you to help make it a smooth transition. My great aunt (MeMe) is now in Brookdale and is soaring wonderfully since my brother and I have placed her there. The staff is caring, loving, genuine, very thoughtful to our whole family! They include her in everything and also us which is very important to us. We prayed for God to lead us to the place that would give her the care she deserved and God is good because he did just that! The Brookdale Lakeshore community is nestled in a country setting off of Lake Shore Drive near MCC. Adjacent green areas provide opportunity for wild birds to visit the beautiful courtyard where residents enjoy morining coffee with their favorite newspaper or a glass of cabernet at sunset. The spaciouos dining room makes for an excellent dance hall, jazz concert venue, hot cocoa social events, and fun times with family and friends. It's definitely a "must see" for anyone who wants to give new life to their loved ones!
