This is "shout out" for Brookdale San Marcos North. My mother, who will be 104 next month, has been a resident for seven years. Take it from me, you can trust the people at Brookdale to give your loved one the care they need and deserve. Led by Clay King, the staff at Brookdale can be counted on. Just one example is Geraldine Taylor. Geraldine heads up the front-line people who directly care for the residents. Her people administer prescription drugs, make sure all is well with the residents with frequent visits, provide bathing as necessary, just to name a few things. I often meet with Geraldine, in person or phone, to keep up with how my mother's well being. She is always on top of my mother's physical and mental health. It is so comforting to know that Grenadine and her people are always available to make sure my mother's needs are met.If you are looking for a community to care for your loved one, take a long look at Brookdale San Marcos North. You can trust the staff as they are top-flight people who are committed to caring for their residents. I think of them as an extended part of my family.

All the Brookdale North Staff have a tremendous job of making my wife and me (aliens from the state of Missouri) comfortable and welcome members of the Brookdale North extended family. Their friendliness, efficiency, and patience with the elderly is well worth mentioning.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Brookdale for over ten years. She says she is very happy and feels blessed to be there. That is the truest form of affirmation about what a great job the staff has done there. She feels like she is among friends. They are always responsive ,in a positive way, to any issues that may come up. We are very happy with the personal care she receives at Brookdale. My father was a resident there for four years prior to his death. He told me many times, “These are good people here.” What more can family ask for.

Clay and his staff have been excellent caretakers of my step-dad and mom since they arrived there about 5 years ago! They have also done an excellent job during this COVID era of remembering to practice safety first. My step-dad was recently hospitalized (non-COVID) and my mom has dementia, and I live out of town, and the Brookdale van was in the shop. Clay, the executive director personally took my mom to see my step-dad in the hospital when no one else was available. My step-dad died that night, and because of Clays extra effort, my mom was able to be with him on the day he passed-on. In addition, the facility itself is nice, and the dining room has an awesome country view!

Brookdale is simply a beautiful place to hang loose. I love relaxing here with my friend, being quietude and syncing with my happy heart strings. It feels so wonderful.. They are partnered with a moving company named DV Movers and they did a great job. I absolutely recommend them and who they work with thank you!

A dear friend lives in the memory care wing of Brookdale San Marcos North. The level of dedication shown by the team here is truly outstanding. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, everyone -- from associates to management -- treats her like family, providing the care and attention she needs to ensure that she is safe and happy. Her room is comfortable and is a reasonable size -- big enough to hold all of her things including her books and DVD collection. The common area is clean, comfortable and spacious. There are also a number of programs available to keep residents active and engaged. This is especially important since my friend is very outgoing and thrives on interaction with others. I would not hesitate to recommend Brookdale San Marcos North and their committed staff to anyone looking for a little extra care during their golden years.

My husband and I are extremely pleased with the care my Mother-in-law is receiving at Brookdale North. The facility is very clean and the staff are friendly, caring, and helpful. The meals served are well balanced and tasty. There are a variety of activities that my mother-in-law can participate in. Im the oldest daughter of my father. Dad realized he needed to move to assisted living about 8 years ago so that he could have help caring for his wife. Brookdale North was a positive experience from the start. Well always remember Tracy fondly. Since then the positives continue to accumulate. Wonderful environment with lots of light, updated decor, and spacious areas, are visual positives. Whenever family visits and joins Dad for meals, the food is great. Activities are varied, frequent, are inclusive of all residents, and just plain fun. Independence is encouraged and my Dad helped lead various activities at times. Now that my father needs more assistance, the support of nursing staff, aids, personal care workers, and Brookdale Home Health, is very reassuring because family is not close by. Brookdale North has become family to us. Most of all, Dad has never regretted his decision to move to Brookdale North.

We live in San Marcos and appreciate BrookDale for their continued support of local music and Live music for their residents. We recently performed June 21st Friday.
