This facility set the standard for what I wanted for my mother-from the assisted living to the open, airy memory care section. Staff appeared caring, attentive and engaged with an excellent layout for their residents to access the dining and activity area even with impaired mobility. Parker made the tour experience exceptional, informative and even provided historical perspective for assisted living facilities. Truly an asset to the facility Unfortunately taking I35 from Austin will prove unmanageable and I will have to find a facility that matches this standard set at Mariella with something closer to home.

We recently toured Mariella of Sage Spring led by Parker Mayland and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, his professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge of the community were evident. Mom is finally "home!" After two years in a Dallas facility, Mom finally agreed to move to San Marcos. We toured Mariella/Sage every time we hoped Mom was ready to move, and were consistently impressed. Staff was always so friendly, and the residents seemed truly happy. Since her move to Mariella (finally!), we’ve seen overwhelming improvement in Mom’s health”including "graduating" from hospice. She has memory issues, but staff has customized a care plan for her needs, and she enjoys a rich and active life in Assisted Living. We haven't seen her this content in so very long. She repeatedly tells me, "I am so happy here. I don't want for a thing." Kathy, Parker, Amy, Stella are awesome”always quick to respond, and helpful. They, and all the staff, feel like family. I look forward to my visits. My words fall short when I try to describe the depth of my gratitude.

We recently toured Sage Springs Retirement Home and had a wonderful experience. Parker gave us a tour of the property and was incredibly kind, informative, and welcoming throughout the visit. The community itself is beautiful and has such a calm, peaceful atmosphere. The grounds and common areas were very well maintained, and it was easy to imagine our loved one feeling comfortable and at home there. What stood out the most was how warm and friendly the staff were. Everyone we encountered seemed genuinely caring and attentive. After our visit, we truly felt that our loved one would enjoy living at Sage Springs and be well taken care of. It gave us a lot of peace of mind seeing the environment and meeting the people who make the community so special.

I recently toured this community, Parker made the entire experience exceptional. From the moment I arrived with my client, he welcomed us with genuine warmth and took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for. His knowledge of the community and his sincere passion for helping families truly stood out. The community itself is beautiful, but it was Parker's kindness, patience, and professionalism that made the biggest impression. Hi! I have actually worked in hospice care for years so I hope I can help here. I am constantly asked about where I would place a member of my own family to get the absolute best out of their golden years. Here's my take on Mariella in San Marcos... This is one those places that, if my parents were local, I would absolutely, 100,000%, get them to consider becoming a resident at Mariella. When it is time, I want my parents and family to feel respected, engaged, and have encouraged independence in an actual community, and live/love their life. Mariella really does have caring leadership (that you can trust - this isn't a "home", this is different). I help care for people here. I know their families. Mariella has a plan to create a golden community with care and comfort at all times, all around. Definitely worth a tour and some serious consideration. Ask the right questions, make it a point to meet the staff, try the food (it's really, really good). 9+/10 would recommend.
