I frequently visit friends there. Emerald Oaks is a beautiful facility. They have a fabulous activities planner, Kelly! They do need to revise the current daily menu in the dining room and work on a better presentation on the serving line.

Emerald Oaks has been nothing short of life-changing for my mom and for our whole family. Before she moved in, I was constantly juggling her medical care, safety concerns, daily logistics, and the emotional toll of watching her try to live alone with increasing memory issues. We were on the edge of what we could manage as a family. Since coming to Emerald Oaks, everything has stabilized in a way that I honestly wasn’t sure was possible. The team at Emerald Oaks has created an environment where my mom can still be herself”independent in the ways that matter to her”while knowing that there’s a strong, caring safety net under her. Their systems, communication, and daily support have given her structure and security without stripping away her dignity. I’ve seen her stay healthier, more engaged, and more confident here than she would have been if we’d continued trying to keep her in her own home. She has people checking in on her, activities to look forward to, and a community that looks out for her well-being. From my perspective as her primary caregiver, Emerald Oaks has been the key to keeping my mom healthy, safe, and genuinely happy. They’ve allowed us to extend her independence far beyond what we could have sustained on our own, and they’ve lifted a huge burden of worry from my shoulders. I no longer lie awake at night wondering if she fell, forgot to eat, or missed a critical medication. I know she’s surrounded by people who know her, care about her, and respond quickly if something is wrong. I am deeply grateful for Emerald Oaks. I walked in here just to do a delivery. this place is so beautiful so cozy and inviting everybody looks so happy from The staff to the To the folks that live here. I’ve been to some miserable places to deliver. But this place looks like they care about everything.. when I retire, I want go here. I just had to leave a review

Emerald Oaks Retirement Resort has totally exceeded our expectations! We were looking for an assisted living type place for our mom, and we stumbled upon this amazing independent living alternative. Before we were introduced to EORR, we were underwhelmed by the options of assisted living communities in the San Antonio area. But what makes this place so special is that is it’s mix of a cruise ship setting and an apartment building. So, it doesn’t have that sad vibe that’s usually associated with assisted living centers. The people, the food, and the atmosphere, the cleanliness are exactly what we were looking for to give our mom the best possible living situation. We love the fact that it is an all-inclusive, 55+ retirement community, and felt less like a hospital! Maybe it was the food, the Koi fountain, or the movie theater but the grandkids much prefer to visit more often too. I highly recommend giving this alternative to assisted living a chance. A special shout out to Carol Haffke (senior living consultant) and Melodie Vise for introducing us to this wonderful community. Make sure and ask about their third-party services that cater to the needs of aging parents. For us, it was one of the biggest differentiators that led to our decision (and we’re so happy places like this community exist).

My parents moved into Emerald Oaks 7 years ago. When looking for a place, for my parents after my dad's stroke this was perfect. Everything is contained in one building. No need to walk outside to another building as some retirement facilities are. They have a great activities coordinator that keeps everyone busy and engaged. My dad has since pasted away, but my mom is still there and enjoying all that they have to offer. I would highly recommend Emerald Oaks for anyone looking for a retirement facility. It's bright, clean, friendly, and active.

Visited a friend of mine who lives here last night - HOLY COW - This place is like walking into a high end resort and smells heavenly..... absolutely stunning! If you looking for a retirement place then you MUST visit - you will not be dissappointed.

This place is amazing it has so many things to offer for senior. Once you walk in it's class and beauty. They have a dining area that looks like a four-star restaurant I've seen a few apartments in here they are all very nice the floor plans are well thought. Are understanding when it comes to modifying the apartment a little like adding walking bars around the place. Overall this would be a wish list destination when it's time for me to retire

My father lives here and he is content; that's high for my 87 year old toddler! Great staff, clean and three great meals served 6 out of 7 days a week. Sunday's are family days where they serve an excellent brunch with Prime Rib. One monthly fee covers everything including weekly trips to the supermarket, social outings and drive to/from the doctor appointments. Fellow residents are lovely people who help keep even the most recluse from becoming hermits. Apartments are well maintained by a staff who cleans it weekly. I trust them to provide my dad a safe enjoyable lifestyle close to me and his grandchildren. I am told there are options for assisted living services available; when we need these services I’ll update this review.
