My mother was placed at PineCrest for rehabilitation after she was hit in a head on collision. She entered the transitional rehab facility with many broken bones and other injuries. The staff was very patient and kind to her and treated her with the utmost dignity. The physical and occupational therapist pushed her in therapy and she made such amazing progress under their care. Michelle Waller is an amazing nurse that made my mother feel heard and cared for. The facility is clean, well equipped and has great amenities. The staff is accommodating and hard working on behalf of their patients. From the checking in process to the exit procedure, we could not have asked for a better experience under these circumstances. Paul Johnson is such a dedicated social worker and was incredibly helpful to us. I would recommend Pinecrest to anyone that has health care needs for an elderly loved one.

PineCrest is so awesome! The Independent senior apartments are gorgeous with views of the well-kept wooded grounds from a screened-in balcony on the 2nd and 3rd floors or open patio on the first floor. Large bedrooms, closets, and bathrooms with walk-in showers and a built-in marble seat. Plenty of storage in the kitchen and bathroom. And full maid service! Restaurant and Bistro with great food on the ground floor, along with a small grocery market/gift shop, inside mail boxes, hair salon, gym, chapel, and lots of daily activities like Yoga, Tai-chi, games and additional specially scheduled activities. It's like a 5-star hotel but you never have to check out! The staff is so friendly and welcoming, all in a Christian environment. What's not to love?

PineCrest truly offers a personal experience with a staff that genuinely cares and to that point genuinely cared about my own grandmother and all of their residents. They are super professionals who can walk the walk of empathy with a big heart and a clear mission. Just generally a whole community of family.

Pinecrest Retirement Community is the exemplary model for a place that serves all! Everyone, yes everyone, who works there has the service culture mentality..."How can I help you?" Specifically, the Rehabilitation Center serves as the ultimate place to recover from surgery or illness. All of the nursing staff goes above and beyond the call of duty. As a family member, I am at peace with the loving, kind, considerate, and compassionate care my family member is receiving 24/7. There is a real peace in my heart to know that everyone at Pinecrest cares about my family the way they care about their own family. You will be very pleased and at peace with your decision if you decide to move to Pinecrest Retirement Community as it is utopia on earth and the best way to spend your senior years in the loving care of dedicated people.

The new check-in kiosk was a breeze to use. Got to mom's room in the assisted living wing and was so impressed with the space and layout. We love the PC staff and trust them with our mom and our aunt. Both love being a part of the MRC community.

Such caring and compassionate staff at the Lufkin Pinecrest Retirement Community. They all went above and beyond helping us transition our dad, first to Independent Living, then to Memory Care. We can't express in words how their guidance helped us accept and cope with this final season of our sweet dad's life. I was there 4yrs ago and they treated me like royalty always attended to my needs went and got me some gear I needed to feel comfortable and would not take gifts unless it was pizza lol one nurse gave me a good warning on person that visited me thank you. The rehab staff was great made my lazy but work and bought the old me back out with there jokes and hum

The employees love my Mom & she loves them. Some go beyond their required duties, which demonstrates that their job is more than a "job". Which, when you're taking care of people, you should treat them as if they ARE your family. That's always a good sign of quality care. Taking care of elderly patients is only a job for someone who loves people. It means so very much to the families that for what ever reason aren't able to take care of their family member themselves, which most want to do. Thank you for taking such good care of my Mom!!

My dad was in Pinecrest for rehab for 6.5 weeks, while he was there he received the upmost care. I felt so comfortable leaving him because of the excellent staff. They let me know every detail about his plan I cannot thank them enough. I would definitely recommend Pinecrest for any kind of care. The facility was always clean and the food was good, he enjoyed it.

Can't say enough good things about Pinecrest and the staff. My mom has been lovingly cared for the four years she has lived there. Staff members know her likes and dislikes and cater to her. They are proactive to call if they have a concern and their vigilance is very much appreciated by my family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pinecrest to anyone.

I've worked here for nearly five years and started from the bottom and worked up, so I am familiar with this company from different perspectives. Leadership practices an approach similar to Kaizen, which means they are receptive to suggestions for improvement at all levels. I believe this is the key to PineCrest's success. This extends to residents and their family as well. Many of the programs designed for the residents were created with lots of input from the residents. Anyone wishing to visit, work, or live here will find a culture that values communication, dedication, and striving for excellence.

I have an aunt that stays here, and she is well taken care of. The buildings are well taken care of, and there is always some renovations going on to keep the campus up to date and in good order. Staff genuinely care for the residents, and there is always a friendly creating from everyone when passing in the hallway.
