It was a difficult decision for our family to move my grandmother into an assisted living facility. However, now that Countryside is her new home, she is thriving! The facility is clean, the meals are great, and the atmosphere is loving and fun. The staff truly love and care for her like family. She has made friends and enjoys the daily activities. I highly recommend Countryside to anyone needing to transition a loved one into assisted living.

I am extremely pleased with all staff and services at Countryside Senior Living of Lufkin. My father just moved to Countryside a few weeks ago. My mother is now a resident at Countryside Senior Living, and she is doing so well. It hasn't been an easy transition for my 93-year-old mother, but Noemi, Jamie, Callie, Meagan and others are helping her adjust and making her feel so loved and comfortable. It is good to know she is in a safe place and being taken care of so well. I am truly thankful for Countryside. It is the perfect place for my mother.

My mom has recently moved here, she was welcomed, which made the transition much easier for her and us. She loves the food - and has made comments on "she is eating better than she has for years". She loves the interaction with the staff, the recreation activities that is offered, and we love seeing her in the Facebook posts interacting with other members - this sure beats her living alone at home.

I’m in this facility every week & the staff is always welcoming & attentive. Knowing each of the staff by name & having a personal connection is what you will experience at this location. Nurse Callie keeps a watchful eye on her residents & Jesse the activity director brings ALL THE FUN! Noemi has done a fabulous job overseeing this place & the renovations look great.

This facility went without a licensed nurse on staff for over a month. After my mother (a resident) passed away, no one from this facility came to her visitation or funeral. They did not send a plant/flowers. They could not even be bothered to send a sympathy card. After my mother had a fall, no one contacted her family. We found out days later when she asked us to take her to the doctor because she was hurting. When we confronted the staff, the “handyman” said it wasn’t their responsibility to let us know she fell, It was our mother’s responsibility to let us know. This is unacceptable!

Neches House has been a Godsend to my family! They take such good care of my dad. His quality of life is so much better here. I don’t have to worry about him. They make sure he’s eating good and they give him all his medications. They have so many activities and he always has someone around to visit with. I couldn’t be more pleased!

Lana and her team are great. They have been easy to speak with and have encouraged me to come to them with any issues. It does feel like home. It’s comfortable and is always nice and clean. I always see smiling faces when I walk through going to my moms room. There is always something for the folks to do. They have entertainment, crafts, games, and so much more.

The facility is not equipped to care for residents with dementia. Don't waste your time or your money trying. They will attempt to do so, but if it doesn't work out, you will be required to remove the resident immediately or suffer the expense of a one-on-one sitter until you can remove them. Otherwise, the facility seems to be nice and residents with little or no cognitive issues seem to be content.
