This Hospice facility was the best facility I have experienced in taking care of loved ones. All of the patient facing employees displayed compassion for the patient and for loved ones facing this difficult time. They spent time making sure patient was clean and comfortable. They shared with my family what was going on, what we could expect in the coming days. They offered spiritual support in addition to medical support. A Chaplain came out at 2:00 am to pray with us. The staff checked in on us frequently to make sure we were ok emotionally. I have shared with my husband if I ever need hospice support I want to come to Hospice in the Pines Impatient Unit. I have dealt with many hospice organization and this was by far the best. Thank you for loving us through this process

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with the team at Hospice in the Pines. My Dad was recently admitted to the hospice ward at CHI and his final days were filled with kindness, care and dignity from the staff. They explained everything in detail to my family as his health declined so that we knew exactly what was happening and what to expect. The level of care was exceptional, not just to my Dad but it extended to my Mom and family as well. I am so grateful for the entire team for the compassion shown to my Dad and the follow up afterwards to our family has been touching. Thank you all.

Hospice in the pines has not only taken care of my grandpa , and grandma in their final days but now my dad most recently. All of their rooms were full and they went above and beyond to rent a room from the therapy side right down the hall from them to accept my dad. They not only took amazing care of him but checked on us constantly to see how we were doing. In some of our hardest times they have been a smiling face or kind words when you needed them the most.

Hospice in the Pines truly has staff from the nurses, social workers, chaplains, and even PCAs that hold so much compassion for what they do! Couldn't find better care for either their hospice or palliative services.

My mother in law was in their care in room# 4 Mrs. Miller. All the nurses and staff were amazing and took excellent care of her. They were so sweet and caring and attentive to our needs as well. Thank you all so much and God bless y'all!

I currently have a family member being cared for by this agency located on the 1st floor of MH. I cannot say enough good things about the staff we have encountered since this past Tuesday at CHI Memorial Lufkin. Honestly, I have found myself shocked at their kindness, efficiency, attention to detail, quick responses etc I could go on and on. It is hard enough going to visit someone daily in a hospice care unit much less having to worry about whether some one is doing their job and caring for a loved one. SO, IN CLOSING, SUPER IMPRESSED WITH THIS FACILITY.

These people did help. But didn't listen to me because I'm not medically trained. I'm a mother, that's all the training I need. Made fun of me to the Dr's wen I tried to do my own research. Barely visited so I had to do alot on my own. They did help on occasion when needed. Church man was offended by my brother wanting to know where he was from and never showed up when he said he would, till the day he died. But my brother had a respected clergyman that I trust come out and pray for/with him. Social worker taking it upon himself to tell me I was doing too much like helping my brother stand up, when he asked me to help him. even tried to tell me when I needed to go bk to work (holding my family leave papers hostage) and assumed I wanted Dr's to lie bt when my brother died! Why? I will go bk to work when i want to go bk to work. He stepped beyond his authority and job duties putting his nose in things that were not his business. Rn didn't believe me when I said he has jaundice and told other nurses she "didn't see it". My brother had rights they wanted me to trample on. Badly treated life all the way to his death. But I tried to give him safety peace and respect. So much love he didn't know what to do with from me because I owed him that much. I was/am his voice still. If there r other places for end of life care I hope they do better. Bunch of overpaid know it alls I could have done without.

Hospice in the Pines was a huge blessing to our lives when our precious daughter Jamie died of breast cancer in our home in November 2012. I will always be grateful for their tender care, love and compassion for Jamie and our entire family during that time. God used each and every HITP employee who entered our home to meet a need. Their ministry to us did not end with Jamie's passing. I personally benefited so much from their bereavement services as someone was always available to listen to the pain in my heart. Thank you, Hospice in the Pines, and may God continue to use you for many years to come.

Hospice in the Pines truly went above and beyond to take care of my 100-year-old grandfather as he passed peacefully in their facility at Memorial Hospital. The nurses and aides were extremely attentive day and night, and showed compassion to both the patient and family during a very difficult time. We had a lot of family members stopping by and Hospice in the Pines always made us feel welcomed and comfortable bringing extra chairs and blankets. They also held a special pinning ceremony to honor my grandfather for his service during WWII, something he was very proud of during his life. I also noticed they sent condolences and signed the guestbook on his obituary, which was very thoughtful. Thank you, Hospice in the Pines.
