I’ve only been here a short time after having moved in here from another assisted-living facility, which was really a very bad place to be, and I have to tell you that my experience here so far at the Brookdale has been more than wonderful. I’m very very comfortable here they are treating me very very well. They’re very responsive to everything I’ve needed and you know they just go out of their way to accommodate any special needs or request so I believe I finally found my home for life and I am absolutely totally satisfied. I was Brook Dale and I wouldn’t hesitate for a minute to recommend them to Anybody else who is considering having to make the tough switch to assisted living. It’s it’s a hard move but if you have to make it, this is a wonderful place to to land thank you. I've now been here at Brookdale for five months and my opinion as expressed in my earlier review has not changed. In fact, Brookdale Lewisville has exceeded my expectations. The executive director is very open and easy to work with and the staff does a wonderful job considering the difficulty that all AL facilities are having these days with finding dedicated, qualified individuals from within the limited workforce pool. If I had the opportunity to do it all over again I would not change any of my decisions. Brookdale Lewisville will be my forever home.

We moved my mother in law here over the summer from another facility. She has transitioned well. She loves the food. Caregivers are friendly and helpful and go out of their way to meet her needs. Security is great. Her room is very comfortable.

Let me start by saying this, if you are looking for a senior living center by only looking at the website, this place is for you. If you actually go in and ask the residents if the pictures are a true overview of this location, you will want to turn around and not look back. I had a family member at Brookdale Lewisville for a little over 9 months. At the beginning we felt like we had found the crme de la crme. The staff was always willing to help. If you pulled your emergency button, they were there within seconds, but once we were there for awhile (paying over $8000 a month) the true bones started to show. The director, Jamie, always had a smile on her face and was willing to help. Well.that’s if you caught her with her door open or if she hadn’t left work early. There is only an RN physically there between the hours of 8:30-4:30. If you needed any medical assistance, you had to call 911. The cook, Dawn, could care less if you liked what she had warmed up for your meals that day. If you didn’t like the ONE choice for that day, you got a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. ORyou could order outside food (at your own expense) and eat that. I’m not sure where they got the photos of the food that is displayed on their website, but I personally NEVER saw anything even close to any of those pictures. And if you dare ask Dawn about the food, your family member would pay the price with cold, no one in their right that mind would want food. There were two AMAZING med techs, Dapril and Kammy, but they no longer are there. The whole place seems like a faade once they have your money. At the beginning of my family members stay, I would have given this place a five star rating, but now I am only giving them a two due to the fact that the two young ladies that were around my family member, the most, were amazing. The maintenance man was also amazing. He seemed like the only one that cared about how Brookdale truly was run on the inside. The decision is up to you, but if you want the advice from someone who has been with Brookdale for awhile, I wouldn’t waste my time.

My mother spent only about six months here after bad experiences at two other places. While the other two facilities had nicer and newer facilities, Brookdale Lewisville was by far the best place we found after literally visiting dozens of Assisted Living facilities and moving into two of them! They made the last months of mom's life so much better by giving her a place she became familiar with and the best Med Tech on the planet, Josie!! My mother was on hospice for cancer and fell around 11pm one evening. Thankfully, Josie called me to let me know as they usually call the Hospice Nurse rather than transport to the emergency room. I was at work and unable to go there. At my request, they called 911 to take her to the emergency room where they discovered she had fractured her hip. After not cooperating with treatment at the rehab facility, she was told she had to leave the Rehab place. Needing a lot more care, Brookdale Lewisville decided to welcome her back and significantly increase the assistance she was receiving. Even with the added cost, it was only back to the same rate she had been paying at the first place she moved into. As the surgeon warned, she did pass away just two months after her fall. Brookdale went above and beyond to help my mother and brought such healing to all of her family with their kindness towards her. She was able to spend her last month back at "home" where she had become familiar with the staff (especially Josie) and was checked on regularly. I regularly heard Josie greet each resident as she went in to check on them and visit with each of them. Every resident wants Josie to be their personal Nurse, and she has a great compassion and patience for even the ones who are more challenging/grumpy simply due to the aging process. The new director Jamie was also a great advocate for my mom in inviting my mother back after her fall when she was unable to complete her rehab. This would not have happened any other Assisted Living Facility. My mother's only wish we recalled growing up with her was to not be put into a Nursing Home. With only a few weeks, Brookdale allowed us to fulfill this wish of my mom's, and we are so very, very grateful!!

My sweet mom is a resident at Brookdale Lewisville. It has been a adjustment for my mom moving into an assisted living but she is getting used to it. We are so happy she is close to us. Justine (Med tech) and Jackie (RA )have been Amazing to my mother. They truly deserve to be praised for all they do! We are so grateful how kind and caring they are to my mother and all the residents who live here. We visit my mother a few times a week and we are always greeted with a smile. I just wanted to thank them for all their hard work!

My dad was at Brookdale in Lewisville for a little over 2 years. We were very happy with the care he received and the overall way he and our family were treated by the staff. We felt comfortable that he would be taken care of in a professional manner and that was the case. The people that work at this location were very caring to him, and he always told me they were great.

My father was a resident of Brookdale Lewisville for the last 9 months. We could not have found a better place to entrust with the care of our father. We are incredibly grateful to the staff for the care they took to welcome dad into the community and look after him. I must note the amazing work done to keep all (staff included) safe and Covid-free during this pandemic. That is an enormous undertaking and they made it look effortless. My family is thankful for the team at Lewisville Brookdale and I highly recommend their services should you need to find a community for your loved one.

My dad, a long time minister and with God's help chose Brookdale when he was 94. He is now almost 102. Dad's prayers were answered again. Brookdale is truly his Home and all staff and many residents, his extended family. You cannot find a home for your LOVED ONE with more love, care, attentiveness and expertise! Brookdale and GOD are why my dad is ALIVE!

My mother has been at Brookdale - Lewisville for the past 8 months and is very happy with our choice of senior living facilities. The level of care and concern from all staff members is outstanding. She felt welcomed and important from day one. She has had some ups and downs health-wise, and when she went to the hospital, several residents went on an outing with the director to visit her and bring her flowers and a card hand-painted by a resident who is an artist, signed by many residents and staff. That really cheered her up! The activity director is phenomenal with a full calendar of fun events planned every day. No matter when during the day I visit, the residents are engaged and happy. My mom "complains" that she is so busy that she is hardly ever in her apartment! (She could say "no" when she is encouraged to join in on activities, but the staff is pretty persuasive.) 🙂 The chef is excellent and the food is delicious with a wide variety of menu choices. I highly recommend Brookdale!

I moved my father into Brookdale-Lewisville six weeks ago. Within 3 weeks, he had gained 10 pounds, not due to overeating, but from the fact he was previously not eating square, nourishing meals. My father loves not only the food, but the genuinely caring staff members and all of the residents who have made him feel welcome. Oh, and just this week we got the news that due to the excellent physical therapy he has been getting at Brookdale-Lewisville, he has graduated from his wheelchair to his walker. I highly recommend Brookdale-Lewisville to anyone who is making the often-difficult decision to move into assisted living.
