Nurse and staff very helpful and can answer and questions I may have. I see them take a genuine approach when caring for the patients and this makes me feel very comfortable.

I read a review that indicated Edgewater had been remodeled. . . scary to think what it must have been , if indeed, it was been remodeled. Id say it cant have been. I will give top marks to the staff. They have been friendly and do listen to concerns. I appreciate the way my sister has been treated. On another note, Edgewater is beyond dreary, antiquated and in serious need of new, cheerful, paint. It is clean and does not smell like I had expected. The furniture is so old and decrepit. Seems to me that it would be conducive to the mental well being of the patients to brighten and cheer up every inch of this place. The dining room does not lend itself to increasing anyones appetite. How sad. Lunch the other day consisted of friend fish, macaroni and cheese and carrots. . .. not any eye appeal for sure and probably about as tasteless as it looked. Is it really that difficult to fix meals that are pleasing to the eye and the palate? They do seem to have fun activities for the residents. . . Id rather attend an activity than sit in the dreary, sunless, old, boring looking room or reception area if I had to live there. I guess its always all about the almighty dollar instead of the well-being and mental health of the residents. Shameful.
