Our Mom has been at Volante about 1 year. We are so happy we found this place. It is a small community. Managers and Staff are super professional and friendly. The daily activities (Exercise, Dining, Bingo, Entertainment, Family Nights etc.. keep Mom busy. When I go over she is always away from her room doing something. The courtyard is awesome. There are ducks that make it their home. I have seen several rounds of baby ducks hatch in the courtyard. The koi ponds are wonderful. Lots of birds. Great place to hang out. A large covered patio allows you to sit outside even when its raining. Also the apartments have 10ft ceilings, which is great!. I highly recommend Volante!

We couldn’t be more grateful for the care my mom has received at Volante. From top to bottom, the staff is exceptional ” consistently kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in getting to know each resident as an individual. The environment at Volante is warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed to feel like home. The central courtyard is a beautiful space with blooming flowers, a calming water fountain/river feature, and even a family of ducks that returns each season. It’s a peaceful spot my mom enjoys throughout the day. Volante has exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommended.

I would give Volante more stars if I could. When I walk through the door you are always met with a smile, every one who lives there always seems happy. The staff is approachable and helpful always. The chef is incredible, all the meals I have eaten were amazing. The last event I attended the Spring Fling had lots of activities for everyone and tons of raffle giveaways. There was even a popsicle truck. The chef did an amazing spread of sandwiches and fruit for everyone. Volante is the BEST!

Words cannot begin to express the gratitude I have for the Volante team. Starting with Sandy Rasberry who toured us and found the perfect apartment for my handicapped sister. She is simply incredible. Michael Masci visited my sister in the hospital and was a refreshing source of expertise and advice as we were contemplating her care needs. Lastly Mr Little the executive director talked us through the details of a resident’s stay. He is just amazing. Our family is so grateful for Volante. They even greeted my sister with a real red carpet and a celebration as she walked through the door. She felt so welcome. In fact it was lunchtime and we had our first meal together there. They said the food was amazing and they weren’t kidding. It is delicious!! My sister felt so at home. As a family member, it is a relief to know that my sister is in such wonderful hands.

Dancing River is an excellent facility if you are looking for placement of a loved one within the city of Grapevine. Located conveniently on HW 26 with quick access to Southlake, Colleyville, or the Mid Cities. Their kitchen staff does not disappoint, I’ve enjoyed several deliciously crafted meals there. The breakfast quiche is a personal favorite. Location, food, and cleanliness of facility are all top notch. But the true asset Volante has in this community are its people. From the residents, to the care staff, all the way to upper management everyone is extremely kind and professional.

Can't say enough! As soon as I walked in the place sparkled with cleanliness & I was welcomed immediately, Sandy gave me a "grand" tour, the staff was so awesome - everyone was smiling & friendly including the residents! Chris, Tatiana, Richard, Charles and so many other staffers are awesome! My friend Linda has been there for a few days now and loves it! Her attitude has changed for the better, she smiles more and is excited to be able to get back in her wheelchair so she can get involved with more activities! Thank you Dancing River for the love and care you provide for the residents but also for the family! God bless!

My father, Bob Burrus, was the first resident in Dancing Rivers when they opened in June of 2011. During his time there, he has been through many executive directors. Mr. Allen Little came to Dancing Rivers in October of 2023. He is not one who just sits at his desk shuffling paper, while expecting others to do the best they can. He actively interacts with the residents and the employees. His dynamic personality resonates throughout the building. He is funny and witty. He whistles and sings, all the while, attending to his duties, and making sure all residents are taken care of in their business and personally. I have not seen this type of comradery since my Dad has been at Dancing Rivers. Sam Burrus

Gorgeous community! When you walk in you immediately feel welcomed and at home. The staff are very friendly and always say hi when you walk by and are friendly. Management is 11/10. Allen is an excellent leader to the community, and you can tell he cares deeply for the residents, families and staff. The food is absolutely incredible as well. Richard is an incredible chef and will be sure to blow your expectations out of the water. Apartments are nicely designed, tons of natural light throughout the community and it always smells so good. The courtyard is definitely a highlight to the building.. always kept up and when you come at he right time you will see the ducks. 🙂 I could not recommend this community enough when it comes to moving your loved one into an assisted living or memory care!

In my experience with assisted livings, I know they are all pretty much the same, regardless of the cost or the promises made by the sales team, and the best we can hope for is to find the facility with the least number of evils. The best I can say about Dancing River is that its evils were fewer than the facility we moved my sister from three years ago - at least in the beginning. Like all ALs, Dancing River is intentionally understaffed. In the two years my sister was a resident, ownership changed hands at least twice and executive directors and wellness directors came and went with the four seasons. Management is totally unresponsive. The last four months my sister was a resident at DR, I called at least 10 times and left messages for the ED and WD to call me about concerns I was having (you can’t call them directly and they’re never available when you call.) Never heard from themuntil we finally moved my sis out. Then we received a letter and phone call from the finance manager within ONE WEEK of her move-out demanding payment for the last 7 days she was a resident. I guess they were mad that I stopped payment on the auto-draft because I knew they would charge us for the whole month of February and trying to get a refund from them would be useless. By the way, we ultimately left DR because they raised her rate to almost $7,000/month, almost maxing out our monthly budget for the most minimal amount of care (charging residents according to their care plan is a joke - they never get the care they pay for and are promised.) The only good thing about DR (those lesser evils) is that some (not all) of the assistants are wonderful and genuinely care about the residents. The owners and management should take a lesson from them. But they won’t, because to them, it’s all about the $$$. I’m so sick of corporations profiting off the elderly and their families. In that regard, Dancing River is no better than all the rest. P.S. If you choose to move your loved one to DR, please don’t pay any attention to the signs on the choice parking spaces that say reserved for future residents. If they’re open, park there! God knows you and your loved one are paying for the privilege of parking near the front door.

Oh and make sure you have HPAA paperwork signed, because after my mom died, I tried to see if medical malpractice was happening … well as soon as I asked for those records they would not give me them stating I didn’t have a HPPA release. Dancing River said “she is no longer in our care and we don’t not have to give you anything”.

Dancing River Assisted Living was an absolutely wonderful place for my mom to live the last nine months of her life. It is beautiful inside and the layout makes sense, residence don’t have to walk/travel a long distance for meals or activities like many places. The entire staff is absolutely wonderful!! I moved Mom here from an assisted living residence in another state which had the highest rating in a three state region. It was a good residence - but I feel that she got a very big upgrade when she moved into Dancing River. The reasons are - -The nursing care she received was not only excellent but they also loved her. The LOVING care they provide for her made my heart swell. It is what a child wants for their parent. They stayed on top of everything. I knew if I wasn’t there that she was not only well cared for, but also pampered. Even when she transitioned to hospice they worked seamlessly together. -The activities are far better here than where she previously lived, and better than any of the many facilities I toured in the Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake, and Flower Mound area. Ana is an outstanding activities director. Days are full of INTERESTING activities, from the standard bingo, to in-house concerts, arts and crafts, therapy dog visits, etc... I often accompanied my mom to these and both she and I enjoyed them. The holiday parties are frankly incredible. Before each activity Ana goes to every residence’s room to see if they want to attend. This is impressive and what my mom needed because she would forget to go. -Chef Rick and his staff do a great job with the menu and the food is good. At other facilities, including the one she was moved from, it takes an entire hour to get from ordering the main course to ordering dessert because of the wait time “ waiting and waiting to be served each course. Thank goodness they don’t do that here. My mom’s final months were full of loving care and joy, and I recommend you consider Dancing River in your search for an assisted living or memory care facility.

Dancing River proved to be the perfect place for my mom to pass through the stages of dementia. She first lived in assisted living and then moved to memory care. Two factors were important in choosing DR. First I liked the size of both facilities and the accessible outdoor space. Secondly I liked that she had an easy transition down the hall, when she needed to move to memory care. The staff from assisted living continued to be our friends when she moved. And she still saw old neighbors when we went to joint concerts and activities. I can’t say enough about the activity directors, just wonderful. All the staff is very caring and loving. And when it came time to have hospice, that process was also an easy transition. Envoy and the rehab health services all coordinated and worked well together with the DR staff. In fact, my husband and I were both so happy with Dancing River that we moved his mother into the memory care unit. She also did well in this caring environment. So now as we say goodbye to this community, we have many friends that we will miss seeing regularly. We wish the best for each and everyone of you who helped make our mother’s lives special.
