We loved this place for my dad. Judi was the nicest and kindest guide of any of the facilities we looked at. She is the one that sold me on this place!

Very nice facility. It was clean odor free. The residents were engaged. The staff member I spoke with was a wealth of information. So helpful. The staff members I observed were pleasant and smiling. They looked like individuals who enjoy what they are doing. I love the way the facility is laid out with quads so that residents get the opportunity to make friends. They also had a respite room available which is what I was hoping I'd find. They were extremely accommodating and seemed to be as flexible as possible. The only downside was the cost. However, they have an "a la cart" plan which could be more affordable depending on the circumstances. The courtyard was very inviting. I have looked at other establishments whose courtyards did not offer seating in the courtyard outside the memory care section. Overall a very nice establishment Addendum: My mother has been a resident at Meadowood since April 19th of this year. I misunderstood the a la carte rate. Her bill is more than we can afford. I didn't realize the once she was admitted under this plan she could not be moved to the all inclusive plan. I was quoted a rate before she was admitted. That rate has almost doubled in the few months she's been there. I spoke with the director who said she was trying to get her moved to the all inclusive plan. I was told by the sales director that the director was working diligently with their home office. That was in August. When I spoke with her yesterday it was obvious she didn't remember our conversation. I love the facility. The staff has been wonderful. We've had problems from time to time but have been able to resolve them. My mom is doing well there. The nurse in charge went to bat for us to make it possible for my mom to take CBD oil as they did not yet have a policy in place. I hate to move her but financially it's necessary. My advice is go for the all inclusive plan. This was my first experience with this field. I thought I had made the best decision for my mother and it wasn't an easy decision. Very disappointing. Addendum: I found another facility for my mother. It is very nice, great activity program and substantially cheaper. I submitted a 30 day notice letting Meadowood know my mother will be moving out. This morning I received a phone call from the director that they had been able to get my mom transferred to an all inclusive rate. I appreciate she was able to accomplish this. I just wish it had been sooner. Now that I have found other really nice places for a better rate I'm not sure I can leave her where she is.

Very nice facility. I only have a couple of concerns. My husband is the only male in the Memory Care at Meadowood. This is very hard for him not having any male friends. He is fine with the 13 ladies, but I think he would be much happier having another male to associate with. I was told when he entered and two other times later, that another male was moving in on a given date. That never happened. Another issue I am having is getting his laundry done on a regular basis. I have done it myself many times, but for what I pay, they should do it. I just learned last week that workers there are going to be required to be COVID vaccinated. This was shock to me that this had not been required already. Honestly, I would not have put my husband there had I known this. I spoke with an employee who is leaving due to this policy. This was very upsetting to me. Patient’s safety should be put first. Three weeks ago there was a positive test on an employee and a patient in the assisted living unit. This could have been avoided. This put all kinds of restrictions on me when I went to visit, which I do every other day. If the residents were required to be vaccinated, why on earth weren’t the employees???

My mom has been a resident for 9 months and she is very happy here. Formerly shy, she has become a little social butterfly now with all the activities! The staff is so sweet with her-she adjusted very well. This community has a warm and beautiful environment and the staff is really great. I believe that in my moms condition, she could not be at a better place. I am thoroughly satisfied with her care. Highly recommend!

My mom has lived in Meadowoods memory care for the past year. I am confident that she is well cared for, safe, and her needs are met. Moreover, I have appreciated how the staff there has managed life for the residents during COVID restrictions. Communication has been excellent, and while my mom has been confused by the changes in her world, she has been cheerful.

I would not put my worst enemy at this place. I have begged for them to care for my mom as they promised they would. They do not care, the owners do not care they only want your money, this goes for the owners, the director, the sales person, the director of health. I have never seen anything run so poorly. I don't know where to turn, if we move our mom her health will deteriorate. Do put your loved ones here.

We have recently moved our father to this facility which is under a new Director who has also hired a lot of new staff to improve the care of the residents. We have been greatly impressed with the attention given to all of our concerns by virtually all the current staff members we have dealt with. Anyone who is dealing with Long Term Care facilities will understand that the best facility is really the one with staff who cares and responds to the individual needs of their residents. Under their current leadership, we think Meadowood will achieve those goals for our father.

Healthcare is a revolving door with staff no matter where you go, but Meadowood has top notch training and managers to help alleviate ANY issues with transitioning of new staff. They DO in fact perform background checks and drug tests, which is mandatory. Come in and see the difference for yourself! I’m glad I did.
