When we suddenly found ourselves needing to move my husband's father from his assisted living in Louisiana to one near us in the DFW area, we had to make a major decision quickly. I spent countless hours reading reviews, doing drive-bys, making phone calls, comparing prices, and checking availability. I also worked with a senior living locator service, and while I wish I could remember her name because she was incredibly helpful, but in 2 weeks from when he said he'd move we were moving him into Atria Grapevine. Although it was a little farther from our home than some other options, it stood out because of its reasonable pricing and overall feeling. From the moment we walked in, Atria felt like somewhere my father-in-law could be safe, cared for, and happy. I added a pic of when we first saw the place. There is plenty of room for a bed, chair, TV, etc. There was a kitchen area with full size frig, microwave, sink, etc it's just not in the pic. It was one of their smaller rooms but it was perfect for him! They kept it clean and did his laundry every week. The community offers a wonderful balance of independence and support. There are residents who are still active and driving, others who use walkers or scooters, and those who need more assistance. It never felt institutional. Instead, it felt like a community where people could continue living life, making friends, and staying engaged at whatever level was right for them. The activities were fantastic. There were games, Bingo, live entertainment, outings on the shuttle bus, daily Bible study groups, and plenty of opportunities for residents to socialize and build meaningful friendships. The outdoor areas were beautiful and inviting, giving residents pleasant spaces to enjoy fresh air or walk around the path to stay in shape. I noticed they have PT on every floor (3 floor facility) and a hair salon on site which was nice. The food was excellent. In fact, some of the desserts were so good that I joked the cake was better than anything I could make myself! Meals felt like something residents could genuinely look forward to each day. Another big question I had was trusting them with billing, but it was straightforward, accurate, and easy to understand (without going up or random charges in the 6 months we were there). What impressed us the most was the staff. They all knew him by name and would say, "Hi! Mr. Jerry!" During a scheduled elevator maintenance period, they went above and beyond and delivered meals to residents, provided activities on each floor, and even brought special treats every afternoon like root beer floats and warm cookies. I saw them go out of their way to care for their residents mental health as well like when the service dog, Whiskey, comes by for visits. I also saw a group of high school boys that would come every week to play cards with the residents. From the ones greeting visitors at the front desk, to the nurses, dining staff, housekeeping team, maintenance workers, and everyone in between, we consistently encountered kindness. Every interaction reflected genuine care and respect. No one seemed rushed. We knew he was surrounded by people who genuinely wanted the best for him. Most importantly, I felt confident that God had placed him exactly where he needed to be and I know God will guide you as well in your search for a place for your loved one. We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Atria Grapevine for making his final months there comfortable, engaging, and filled with kindness. We wholeheartedly recommend this community to any family searching for assisted living for someone they love.

Atria has been amazing since I brought my Dad to their Memory Care over year ago. The Director Theresa over the unit is incredible. She is the shining star at Atria Grapevine. Theresa is always accessible for any questions or concerns I have about my father. She keeps the residents active and takes them out for activities. She is cognizant that despite their residents having dementia, she will not confine them to the unit. Theresa CARES about her residents and her staff! She is truly the difference in that unit and a real leader!! The ENTIRE staff has been so very patient with my Dad. He is extremely difficult, but they love and care for my Dad like he is their own. The staff are always proactive in making sure my father has his medications and any other needs he may require I HIGHLY recommend Atria Grapevine. They are family to me!

I thought this was beautiful and clean place in which to spend my senior years. The cook was from Mississippi and assured me the meals would meet my Southern palate. I spent several hours, including happy hour in which was live music to enjoy. The lunch meal was superb.

While visiting Atria Grapevine Memory care you immediately feel like it's a place where your loved one can truly thrive. It's uplifting to see so many of the staff greet you with a warm smile and their knowledge of the property is truly impressive. Having to place a loved one outside of your own home can be daunting but the staff's kindness is reassuring. This type of transition should be seamless and I feel Atria will make that happen. As well, the facility is immaculate and the rooms are beautifully maintained. It's heartening to see that many friendships have been formed and there's an abundance of recreational activities and entertainment options to keep everyone engaged and inspired. This is a great place. The staff is caring and genuine. The administration is both pro-active and responsive. The front desk is warm and inviting and always willing to help. My father-in-law loved the food. The whole place is always clean. And the grounds are very nice. We feel the size of the property and number of residents made for a very nice community. Plenty of people to spend with and so many great activities (thanks to Dara and all the team members). We always felt our family member was safe and needs were more that well met. Great value.

Our relative was much younger and more mobile than other memory care residents. As a result he needed extra activities and guidance. They let him shadow the maintenance person, help vacuum and even assist the supervisor. Chastity was the most knowledgeable and wonderful memory care supervisor. She and all the personnel gave our relative the love and care he needed.

My Mom, Gwen lived at the Atria Grapevine for 2 years. One year in the assisted living and one year in Memory Care. She received superior care the entire time she was there. Everyone was pleasant and caring. If you need a place for your loved one, I strongly recommend the Atria Grapevine. She was Safe, clean, and we cared for always. I saw her very often. She loved the care givers, so did I. I still hear from them, even now that she has passed. The last year was particularly difficult. My Mom was an Alzheimer's patient and her mental state declined rapidly this last year. I could call anytime of the day and they would take time to talk to me about Mom. I never worried if she was being cared for well. She was loved by the staff. We recently had to move her because she required too much help. We had hospice and a skilled nursing facility with her at the end of her last weeks. The Staff of Atria Grapevine called me to check on her. Two of her favorite staffers took turns taking care of her (after a full days work) the last week of her life. In fact, they were both with her the day she passed. I can not tell you how much their support meant to me. We all were able to surround her with love those last days of her life.

My father lived in 5 assisted living/ memory care facilities, Atria Grapevine surpasses all others. They kept my father showered, changed his linens on a regular basis, when he refused to get out of bed for meals, they brought food to him and ensured he ate. They actively tried to engage him, even when he was rude to staff. They treated him like family and I am so grateful for their care. If you are considering a memory care facility, Atria Grapevine is a must visit.

All of the caregivers at the Atria Grapevine are exceptionally kind and caring, no matter how difficult the situation. Pam Hackler has consistently gone the extra mile in working with my mother in the Life Guidance Unit. She treats all of the residents with respect and humor, showing no difference between a person with dementia or without. She works endlessly to help my mother, suffering from both dementia and strokes, making sure she has some pleasure in her day and that she retains as much cognitive ability as she can. We are forever indebted to Pam for the kindness and compassion she shows every day in every way. Kim has also been important in my mother's life. When she returned from the hospital after a stroke, the only one who could calm her down was Kim. We are so grateful that she was able to return to a place where people like Kim make her feel safe and respected. Kim treats all the residences with kindness and smiles, causing smiles from all! Compassion shines through her in every way. Jan's gentle care of my mother is so important to us. Knowing that her caregiver, the one who deals with her intimate care so much, is a person of character and integrity, is vital. She makes sure my mother is comfortable physically, clean and cared for in every way. This matters a lot to us. Cherrmain always is upbeat and positive. She shows her caring for my mother constantly, making every effort to make sure she is comfortable. She seems to really love the people she works with, and interacts so positively with the families that it helps us deal with a difficult time in our lives. Greeting visitors at the front is Rose - always ready with a smile, answers to any question and a welcome to all. She's normally the first face you see when you enter, so she's really important to the ambience of the Atria Grapevine. We appreciate her friendly voice on the phone when we call and her gracious greeting when we walk in. Pulling it all together in the Life Guidance Wing is Crystal. She is in charge of the staff and patients. She has helped us greatly through this challenging stage in my mother's life. She comforts us when we're down, reassures us when we're worried and brings needed humor and a sense of fun to residents, families and staff. We really appreciate her guidance, her knowledge and her caring.
