Broadway Cityview has been a blessing from the first day my Mom moved into an independent living apartment in 2024. 18 mos later she's in assisted living and continues to tell me every time we talk how grateful she is that we found Broadway at Cityview when she decided to move halfway across the country to live closer to us. There are a number of floor plans to choose from of independent living apts . She ended up in a ground floor 2 bedroom unit with an exterior door and a small, beautiful patio and yard. Her assisted living studio apt doesn't have the exterior entrance but has a very nice view, is large enough to comfortably fit her most important furniture and clothes while providing support that makes Mom feel safe and cared for. There were a la carte assistance services available for the independent residents when she needed support. Marlee and her team provided 5 star service when she needed it. Joe and his team in assisted living continue the 5-star service with a higher level of care, assuring us that Mom is getting the support she needs and while making her feel looked after and safe. There's one more element that Broadway at Cityview has created for its residents: Community. The options for gathering together with other residents vary widely and include potting plants, to building a birdhouse, happy hours with live entertainment, excursions to theatres or blue bonnet drives (they'll take them to doctor appts, as well), card games, exercise classes, and holiday celebrations. They have a community council made up of residents that meet monthly, beautiful dining rooms in both resident sections, an art room, library,and lovely green space to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine with a book or friends. The Broadway Cityview team have provided a perfect balance of peace of mind for me that Mom is getting what she needs while maintaining some independence, safety, and privacy for her. I can't express my respect and appreciation for the facilities and the team at Broadway Cityview.

My dad has been at Broadway Cityview since 2019, and he said he wished he had moved there ten years earlier. He has lived in the Independent Living Villas, the IL apartments, and Assisted Living. He absolutely loves all the people there, both residents and staff, who unfailingly tend to the residents as though they were their own families. We heard of a resident who moved to Broadway for the good food--another great thing about the community! Unlike other places where the staff may "phone it in" rather than take their jobs seriously, Broadway employees are the BEST.

Moved mom here in May and by July she was gone. They refused to get her up to walk because she was in a wheelchair and she developed blood clots. If your loved one is in a wheelchair, this is not the place for them. Move them closer to you regardless of whether they like it or not. If you are able to get around, this might be a nice place to live. The food is good and they have music and many activities.

They both took their time to answer any questions I or my Mom had on the facility. The studio apartments and the one bedroom apartments are very nice with beautiful cabinets, counter tops, full size appliances as well as usable floor space. We really liked Watermark but for my Mom and her needs it just wasn't the right place. But who knows some day it may be a place I would look into for myself. A great value and wonderful environment for my mother in-law to live out her golden years with good companions, caring staff, and good amenities. My MIL (Carolyn) has been at here since August of 2021 and has made lots of new friends and even met a wonderful boyfriend a year after her husband of 60 married years passed way. Unlike other places which require $300K to $600K (holy cow!) as a purchase a living space and still charge $4K to $8K monthly fees! If the family needs move their parents out of those places or the parent passes away, the family is often responsible for working with that retirement place to find another person to purchase that place in order to recoup that $300-600K!!! Watermark is more like an apartment rental (a rent pre-payment and subsequent monthly rent) with a fair amount retirement amenities without that huge upfront multi-six figure cost. There are 1 to 2 bedroom apartments (that I know of) with a kitchen and living area with some different floor plans. There are also small villa homes as another option. The meals are prepared by an excellent staff of professional chefs and served by kindly staff. I eat dinner along with my MIL and friends after Friday happy hour (beers, wines, soft drinks, margaritas, simple mixed drinks, along with live music entertainment and appetizers). Dinner examples include a soup of the day (e.g., clam chowder, a rich bisque, french onion soup ), 2 main entrees (e.g., grilled salmon, chicken Alfredo), vegetables (e.g., steamed broccoli, glazed carrots, roasted asparagus spears) and deserts (e.g., warm bread pudding with sauce, fresh cake, and a sugar free option like cheesecake). I especially found that chef inspired desserts are really good (IMHO). I also think they have a good and varied menu each week. If you don’t like the entrees of the day, they offer made to order standby favorites like salmon, blackened tilapia, grilled 1/2 pound hamburgers, quarter pound hot dogs, french fries, chicken fried steak with real mashed potatoes and gravy, plated salads, steamed vegetables, just as an example. Activity-wise my MIL’s week is as full as she wants it to be. To be honest, I get miffed sometimes because she is so busy and I have to call her to get an appointment for some one-on-one visit time. There is a machine weight area, exercise machines, daily strength and balance classes, a large indoor heated swimming pool with hot tub area, monthly to bi-monthly excursions to plays (e.g., Fiddler on the Roof in Grandbury, TX., Winstar Casino, Bluebonnet festival, botanical garden). They have onsite activities as welllike arts/crafts, visiting speakers, bingo with prizes, and community of friendly residents and kind staff. They have independent living villa housing with a garage or resident apartments in the main facility. There is also a step-up care facility on the campus if needed. I really recommend Watermark for its good value, caring support staff, friendly residents and all the previously mentioned amenities!

We had used Watermark as a rehab facility for my Mom when they had a rehab facility. They were wonderful. Now, Mom and Dad are beginning to consider transitional housing. We toured Watermark to see what they had to offer. I can't say enough about this facility. It is bright and interesting. The apartment was easily accessible, and just the right amount of space for them. The BESTEST part was the food. They served us lunch. The set menu is amazing. The daily menu was even better. Seriously, I would intentionally go to a restaurant for this food. The staff was warm and welcoming. I can't say enough good things about Watermark. My parents aren't quite ready to move, but this location will be at the top of their list when they do.

My lengthy stay requiring rehabilitation and skilled nursing , was made pleasant and much easier thanks to a wonderful staff who made me feel like I was the only one there. Everything was accomplished so thoroughly , from PT to OT and Skilled Nursing that i was always so thankful for such a high level of quality , cleanliness and compassion. The meals were excellent with a vast variety and tremendous taste. I met the chef frequently and always complimented his efforts. Meals were always prepared at Watermark and were fresh and very tasty. I have dined in many expensive restaurants and would say the meals at Watermark were comparable if not better. I cannot say enough good things about this facility and their staff. We had to move my mother to independent living from her house of 55 years. The sales director (Ms. Jeannine), to the move-in coordinator (Ms. Megan) to the front desk concierge (Ms. Karen), they were as helpful as any staff can be. When we quickly figured out that my mother needed more help, they were just as helpful in assisting us with making the move over to assisted living. The staff at the assisted living area are simply wonderful, caring people. The front office set a high bar of promised help if needed. When it was needed they cleared that bar by a mile. The facility is clean, the staff are nice, skilled and helpful. My mother is happy and safe. I cannot say enough good things about the entire facility, from independent living to assisted living to skilled nursing (rehab) to the front office. They are spectacular, each and every one of them!!!

This is the worst place to stay! I was sent from the hospital to rehab. The nurses are rude, unfriendly and have no bedside manners. They continuously gave me the wrong medicines 4 out of the 5 times they administered them to me. Most of the [inappropriate language removed] staff have no idea what they're doing, especially [name removed] on the 2nd floor . The only friendly people were the PT doctors. The food is TERRIBLE. After a 6 night stay I checked myself out and had my friend drive me to the ER, that was the only time they showed concern and said we can call an ambulance this was after they saw my friend picking me up. I even had to call the administrator to complain, but to no avail. Waiting on his return call...DO NOT take your loved one to this place!

I would not recommend unless you can spend a lot of time there with your loved one. They hardly ever check on anyone, the food is awful and only a few people there seem to know what they are actually doing. There were some bright lights though...there are a few people that were very kind to my mother when they did interact with her. Betty, Sherry D., Anthony (Tony), Sonja, Richard and Sonny (at night) and the OT/PT girls, Holly and Danielle were awesome (and the reason I left her at this facility). I was the only one bathing her, changing her sheets, making sure that she stayed clean, cleaning her room and making sure that she was eating. So, if you don't intend on being there with your loved one then I do NOT recommend.

This facility has gone DOWNHILL since being bought out by Watermark. They let go of the administrator and MANY of the Brookdale employees have left. The food is TERRIBLE and had been going down BEFORE Covid. My mom LOVED all of her friends there, but they have left or are on their way OUT. I moved my mom out of this facility a year ago into a townhouse and she is thriving. I feel so sorry for all of the elderly residents who are unable to move. PLEASE, do NOT put your LOVED ONE here and expect them to eat well, have activities or thrive. Such an expensive place for what you get.

As a patient at the Skilled Nursing Facility, the Nursing Staff were either incompetent or malicious. After 7 days my routine meds were not given at all or given in the wrong dosage. Equally appalling, they tried to prescribe a new medicine that was contraindicated. The Physical Therapist & Occupational Therapist were quite good.

I chose Watermark after being unable to get my father into a different facility due to availability. However, I think this happened for a reason, because Watermark has done a wonder for him. And I am writing from experience...my mother was in two different facilities, and they were both sub par. Watermark is clean, QUIET, and super focused on rehab. (It isn't fancy, filled with activities, or social events...it's not that, this is totally a rehab focused place.) My father is mentally sharp, and he has had no complaints. In fact, he's been very complimentary of the staff, especially the rehab team and speech therapist, and also all of the food! Well....he said dinner is ok, but that breakfast and lunch are always the best. The staff has worked diligently to rehab him in three weeks after he spent 21 days in a hospital bed. He really lost muscle mass and strength. But he's going home tomorrow and is ecstatic. If he ever needs rehab in the future, I would totally pick Watermark again.

This facility just fired their Executive Director who was hired in March who used a false name to get executive job. She also was just sentenced probation for impersonating a police officer. There is a Ft Worth Star article about it on June 24th. It's worth a read before making the decision if you want to live there or if you want your parents living there.

I was quite pleased with my 18-day stay at Watermark. There were a few minor problems, such as lukewarm food, inadequate staffing at night, and a few times when my morning medications didn't arrive until almost noon. But the therapists were all excellent, and that's the main reason I was there - for therapy. I would definitely recommend Watermark to anyone needing occupational and physical therapy.

My biggest concern about the nursing/rehab facility is that they have not been able to administer important medicines to my mom regularly, as prescribed and have sometimes missed them completely! I don't know if the nurse is spread too thin or is not competent or not caring, but even when she tried to call for help to get her meds, she was ignored. If they are not going to allow you to administer your own medications, then they need to do a good job with that to avoid unnecessary issues when not taken correctly. She is happy with the PT and it seems the help with a shower and clean bed linens was good. Food meh.
