As we were searching for a place where our parents could permanently stay, we were fortunate enough to meet Destinee. The minute we stepped into the building, we felt welcomed by her warm and friendly smile. Destinee is such a friendly, helpful, and patient individual who took the time to answer all of our questions and address our concerns. Sunrise 's location and landscaping are a peaceful place to be and call home!!! Covered porches and Cabanas are a great area to enjoy at our age. Sun Rise has several. Activities are very helpful. Meals are a great place to visit and get to know each other better. Our dining area reflects that. While all Assisted Living's places have their own little nuances, Sunrise works hard at fixing theirs. Be sure to look at the whole picture when you are selecting a place for your loved one's home and comfort. JSE

I always love walking into Sunrise because the smile I see on everyone's faces is good for the soul! Margaret is the best and has been there for years and just makes that place radiate sunshine. She helps to host wonderful parties and events for the residents and the healthcare community and cares so much about everyone around her. If you stop in, make sure you say hi to her, you'll be glad you did!

We are looking for a permanent assisted living facility for our mom and just finished a tour with Destinee and Margaret. They are phenomenal! We were warmly greeted, and had a great discussion learning about all the care options. We felt that the conversation was genuine and gave us comfort in their knowledge of care and the plans they have in place. Our overall impression is extremely positive.

What a beautiful home for seniors! From our first meeting with Margaret who was so helpful & knowledgeable, to move day, it has been nothing short of wonderful. Margaret walked us through a hard process with compassion and concern. The staff is so friendly and involved with the residents. The meals have so many choices and the food is great. These are very dishonest people.When my mother, myself and my mother's caretaker first visited Sunrise in Fort Worth,we were shown a suite with two bedrooms and we were clearly told by Margaret that my mother would have the whole suite to herself until a studio opened up for her to move into,we were told in no uncertain terms that no one would be moving into the next bedroom,we would never have moved my mother into that room if we thought that someone else would be moving into the other bedroom. We moved her in and within about a week, Jesse, the guy who is supposed to run the place, contacted us and told us that someone else would be moving into the other bedroom. When I told him what Margaret told us,he denied that we were told that and then I asked Margaret about it and she denied it as well. I guess it's some kind of game they have between the two of them. Margaret lies and tells the family one thing when they are looking at the property and then when the person moves in, Jesse takes over and plays ignorant. I was also talking to Jesse about my mother who has dementia and has depression ,I said that I think my mother should get some therapy to help her with her depression and confusion and Jesse said he thought we should take the "medical route", obviously implying that he thinks she should be drugged up so she doesn't become a nuisance, I obviously did not want my mother to be a drugged up zombie for whatever time she had left, but apparently he didn't care about that, that's the way these people are. My mother was first in the regular assisted living section and then was moved to the memory care center. In the regular section,the food is wonderful with lots of food and a big menu of other things available if they didn't like what was on the menu, but in the memory care section the meals are a disgrace. I took a picture of one of the dinners and no one could believe it, there was next to nothing on the plate. If you visit this place and really like it,move your loved one in, but make sure you get everything in writing in regards to where the person will live,so they don't do what they did to us. My mother stayed for about a month and we got her out of there.

What a wonderful and homey community! Absolutely loved touring the building, gorgeous rooms, lively environment and the staff was so friendly! Shout out to Margaret! She was so personable and you could tell she wanted you to love Sunrise as much as she does! I would highly recommend this community/home for my senior loved ones who might need a bit of additional help and support!

Would not recommend this place. The staff was rude to my parents and unqualified, unskilled workers, some whom are just plain mean. If anyone you know goes here, either put a camera in their room, or watch them closely.
