You have no choice but to move a cherished family member into an assisted living center. Lots of emotion and tears. You have to coordinate with family and friends, you have to deal with houses and cars. So much to do in such a short time. And you have never looked at facilities before, so have no idea how to compare them. Looking around the city that you are interested in, you build a list of facilities, ask local resources for advice, friends in the area about any experience they might have, then you start to visit facilities. Immediately you start to find out what the most important three things are. Staff, staff, staff. Really, you can find similar buildings, with similar activities, etc. However, you quickly realize that the quality begins with every member of the staff. You need it to be the best, from top to bottom. Because there will not be any level of staff that does not affect the quality of life that your loved one will have. Do they take all of the time you need to show you the facility and take an interest in special needs you feel you have? Do you get to visit with kitchen staff, enrichment staff, on site nursing staff? Do the other residents look happy, comfortable, and engaged? Here is what we have found in Rosewood during our journey. Starting with the Shannon Tinsley, head of sales, she took all of the time we needed with them, to explore options, explain the community, understand not just today’s needs, but long-term needs: A+, While moving in, got to work with maintenance staff: A+, Welcoming new members to the community: A+, Nursing staff coming up to speed on needs and care concerns: A+, Enrichment (trips off campus, on campus events): A+, Lunchroom (large, airy, great menu): A+, Speaking of Shannon, even though she is in sales, she did not leave us after the sale was over. Cannot express how much she has helped us in the months after navigating various issues, most unrelated to her sales role. Amazing human!

I am so proud to represent the Rosewood beauty salon. I have been operating the salon at Rosewood since the birth of the building when it opened back in October of 2012. Its like Steel Magnolias when you visit! Due to Covid I have had to be closed off and on since March 13th, 2020. I am super excited to be back in the building full time soon.

I moved my parents in a few months ago and was nervous about it, but Shannon made me feel comfortable about the transition. All of the staff has been so caring and have made what we thought would be a sad situation something we feel good about. They are super responsive, loving and caring. Truly gave me peace of mind.

Id like to start by saying it was a difficult decision to to put my mom in an assisted living facility but my family and I knew it would be best. My experience from my first call was professional and heart warming thanks to the sales director Shannon. I highly recommend this facility and Shannon to guide you to planning a new home for your parents or loved one.

I am writing this review because of a report that I received from a source of a complaint that the owner received on the last Director. It was told to me in a bragging conversation that this person was able to get the Director fired. I would be wrong to hold these comments to myself. The phone conversation was not truth. It was specifically told to me that this was false information just because the family member was just mad over many circumstances the person that made up lies on her was to get the Community hurt. In the mean time the person that made up false accusations ended up moving her Grandmother out anyway. I know many people that know this person and she has the reputation to hurt others and get her way. Why cant people just mind their own business and take care of their own families. Do you know that right now times are hard enough? Why would you get a thrill out of hurting someone in losing their job in this chaos we are living in today. Jobs are hard to come by this day and time. I did meet the Director once in passing and she did not deserve the treatment she got from Legend. Nor by the person that reaped destruction on the other families that lost a very good director. I would never speak to this source of these lies in the Flower Mound Community again . What if it was you that lost your job with children to support. Not Christian like and I hope you are not claiming to be a Christian this is wrong and God sees the problems you caused. How could you go around bragging on this to others? How could you win this with lies with supposedly intelligent people running a Senior Living business?

We were looking for a place for my mom. We checked out Rosewood and Shannon was very helpful. We really like the place. It is top notch all the way. After looking at the other assisted living places in the area we decided on Rosewood. It clearly is the best in so many ways. But, as we were preparing for the transition my mom passed away and we never did get her to move in. I would have felt good knowing she was in good hands.

I had a lot of choices to get my grandma the help she needed. Rosewood is nice, but Shannon (sales director) sealed the deal. She was really able to set my mind at ease. She answered all our questions and provided real peace of mind about making a difficult decision.

She went above and beyond to comfort us and with her knowledge of Dementia, it made it easier to accept what our grandmother truly needed. A beautiful facility with a caring staff. Thank you Shannon.

I would like to share a personal experience I had with the Sales Director, Shannon Tinsley. She is compassionate, resourceful, and truly an expert in the field of serving seniors and their families. If you are looking for Senior Living for your loved one or yourself you NEED to call Shannon Tinsley for an experience that is all about you. She doesnt sell, she educates, holds your hand through the process and relieves the sting of a difficult transition. Rosewood at Flower Mound truly is unique , different and better. It starts with the people serving you, people like Shannon! Thank you for all you do!

A Friend

The former director of this facility, Terry, is a close friend of mine. I have known her for many years. She is a devoted, caring and compassionate woman. I question the motives of those who chose to be untruthful about her handling of recent events at Rosewood. She would never respond as was described in a previous post. Since becoming the director of this facility she has been devoted to those employed there and to the residents. Terry strived to make Rosewood a safe harbor for its residents She was vigilant and assured that laws and procedures were followed in caring for residents. There were no cases of COVID-19 at the facility under her leadership. She made herself available to her employees 24 hours a day, answering their calls and consulting with them to insure a positive outcome for every situation that presented itself. She made it a priority to offer an environment that was clean and attractive and to serve healthy, delicious meals. She accomplished this only with the help of trusted, professional staff members, and by replacing those who were not guided by the same sense of devotion she felt toward those living at Rosewood. She enjoyed creating displays for and planning special events to delight the residents. During this pandemic when assisted living-memory care facilities have been scrutinized for their care of the elderly, I find it inexplicable that Terry was not afforded the opportunity to defend her reputation and therefore continue as Rosewood‘s director. It doesnt make any sense!

Justin and Jen Buck, How did you get the pictures you posted of the PPE and blocked fire exit from INSIDE Rosewood when no visitors have been allowed in the building for months due to COVID19? Did you pay off an employee to take them for you?? Maybe Darla sent them to you like the other picture she sent you? I havent been allowed in the building since March 13, 2020!!! Busted!!! Tampering with evidence is against the law! Whoever sent them to you should be fired!!

Happy Family Member Family

I have been extremely pleased with the most amazing care for my loved one for several years now. The Staff is extremely kind and always willing to go the extra mile. This pandemic has been so difficult on all of us but the fact Rosewood has stepped it up and made sure things were handled has been very comforting. I hate to see reviews that look more like fighting. During a pandemic some facilities do allow move ins where families are allowed in if approved by Corporate. Also, when Residents are end of life they are allowed to have a family member with them during this time. So to correct a review from someone else there have been family members allowed in the building. I hate to see a beautiful community drug through the dirt during a time when we all should be supportive to each other. The former Director in fact went above her leaders and allowed families to window visit when window visits werent even allowed but she felt it essential. Please understand we all get angry and want to lash out it is human nature. What is not right is accusations, slander and all of the above. I feel safe to say I would not allow my loved one to remain if I felt this place was the mess its being made to be. This is a difficult time for all Nursing Homes and Assisted Living communities all over the Country so lets be kind and reach out to them and see if we can help in any way. FAMILY MEMBERS WERE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING FOR MOVE INS OR MOVE OUTS APPROVED BY CORPORATE. Be knowledgeable of what you are speaking about before you post and accuse. Someone needs to see this.

I have been friends with Terry (the former director of Rosewood Assisted Living) for over twenty-five years, and I have always known her to be an extremely conscientious and caring person. She goes the extra mile in everything that she does, and I am sure that she applies these same traits in dealing with the residents in her care. Terry has always been an extremely competent person in all activities we share in common. I know that Terry has spent long hours dealing with different matters at this facility. I couldnt ask for a better friend than Terry and I know this faculty is losing a valuable asset.

My grandmother has been living in this building for the previous 3 years. The place used to be awful until the most recent director, Terry, came in. She started in mid 2019 and immediately she changed Rosewood for the better! Terry would always care for my grandmother and get her to do things no one else in the building could. Terry was the best thing that happened to Rosewood. She cared passionately for her residents, the families, and her staff members. There was no covid in the building until you and two other staff members got her pushed out with lies. She worked hard everyday to ensure that our loved ones were cared for as they should be. I agree with James Bond, something is fishy with how you got those photos. We stand firmly behind Terry and her position at Rosewood.

I am saddened by the recent post I have read. My Grandmother has lived here for quite some time and I have never had an unpleasant experience with the staff and especially not the Director Mrs.Booze. I live in the area and often visit and random times of the day. I have witnessed the Director dancing in the main area with the residents during activities I have seen her face light up when they are happy. I have witnessed the same director cleaning rooms to assist her staff when they needed it, for that matter I have seen her clean my Grandmothers room as well. I have never seen a “hostile” environment here what I have seen is office staff working with floor staff or kitchen staff to ensure the residents have all they need. That type of team work has been taught by Mrs.Booze. I would urge anyone to take a moment and sit and speak with her if you have a concern instead of bashing online. I would recommend Rosewood to anyone as my Grandmother raves of the way she is treated and for that the entire staff and especially the Director have my families praise and gratitude, they are a blessing!

My friend's mother is there. I have visited the community several times and everyone is always pleasant and greets you with a smile. Her mother never has said a bad word about anybody. From the director to the staff, she enjoys everything. I would recommend Rosewood to anybody who has an assisted living need.

As I was looking that the reviews from the past 3 weeks regarding the management at Rosewood, this truly breaks my heart. The manager at Rosewood, she, works very hard to make sure that the community is safe. She is there are on the weekends after working Monday-Friday. She has been known to pass medication when there is in a call in. I have seen cook for the residents when the cooked over slept. She helps staff by giving showers. She even cleaned the residents room when we were short on a housekeeper. I have been working for under HER management for the past 2 years. The reviews from the past three weeks are NOT true. She is an amazing person treats the entire staff with dignity and respect. This past Christmas party was the best that we had, she even cooked. She is very approachable, families, residents and staff can freely walked into her office. Not to make this too lengthy, I remember her in the front room consoling a daughter who had just lost her father because the daughter could see her father in the shape. She helped me prepare the body for the funeral home to pick up.She is a very loving and caring person...NOT the person the reviewers are referring too.

Rosewood Assisted Living and Memory Care is a wonderful place for residents to enjoy all types of activities, Entertainment, outings, weekly events, exercise in groups, or they can exercise individually. There is a variety of things that each person can do, with the other residents or on their own. Family are always welcome and are encouraged to participate in many events. Its a Beautiful Facility with a friendly, caring staff who genuinely care for the residents well being, comfort and care. The current Director Terry Acker is a very sweet and caring person who is very knowledgeable and truly cares about each and every resident and staff member there. I believe this current Team and staff and employees are the best theyve ever had. Each one of them are very sweet, sincere people who truly care about the residents and each other like family. The Chef and kitchen staff are wonderful and serve delicious healthy meals. The Facility is always Beautiful, clean and comfortable and has a feeling of home for the residents. I first started coming into this facility about four years ago to visit someone who lives there and I was very impressed right from the beginning of the beauty and the wonderful feeling of home. Each resident treats each other like wonderful friends and like family.

Rosewood was good. I would recommend them, but they're on the expensive side. They're right across from the hospital, so that is what makes them a little pricier. I like the decor, it's elegant, it's homey, and it doesn't feel like an institution at all. It's like you're in a nice hotel. Everybody seems to be friendly. They have scheduled activities, a library, church services, movies that they show in one room, and a hairstylist.

Rosewood truly has alot people there who truly care about the residents. There are have been changes in management over the past few months. Some staff has stayed and some have left. The ones that have stayed are truly angels. The new chef is awesome, the presentation and the taste are wonderful. My loved transferred to memory care and the level of care is warms my heart. The patience and compassion they have for the residents allows me to sleep at night knowing my loved one is safe and secure. The leadership team are very hands-on, not just sitting their offices. I often see them helping residents and staff. This place gives love.

I visited Rosewood, and I thought it was a very nice place. It was new, clean, and tastefully decorated. It seemed to be secured. The rooms were small, but I thought they were well designed. They checked in to know where you were going and so forth. They had movies. They play games like bridge. It seemed to be a very nice place. The staff seemed very friendly and capable as far as I could see.
