As much as I don’t want to update this review, I have changed my rating from five stars to three stars. (I would do 3.5 if I could.). Over the last year and a half the consistency of care has decreased and I have experienced the same issues repeatedly. I do believe that many of the staff are very committed to caring for the residents and do listen to concerns. But it cannot be some, it has to be all of the staff. I would still say it is a good place, but to ensure care you must be diligently involved and monitoring. Original review: I am beyond pleased with our choice to move my mom to Rosewood when it became apparent that she needed more care than independent living could provide. I toured several facilities before selecting Rosewood. While we toured other facilities that were newer and had updated features and appearance, Rosewood by far stood out as a place where the staff and residents were consistently friendly, happy, and generally enjoying their days there. My concerns about some things were either easily addressed “ such as the paint color in the room “ or misplaced because I don’t have the same mobility issues as my mom does. Everything is well maintained, every staff member feels like they are going above and beyond for you, and I have no doubt that they have the best interest of my mom’s mental and physical well-being as a priority. And those that live there are friendly, vibrant, and welcoming. I would highly recommend Rosewood for anyone looking at assisted living for themselves or a loved one.

My mom is in Memory Care here and has been for 2 years now. We truly appreciate the staff from the admin to the nurses to the aides . Mom has several health conditions that are being managed by the nurses on staff. One seems to be more chronic than the others and requires more time on the part of the nurses and myself . Rosewood staff does listen to my concerns and responds appropriately to help the situation. I visit my mom on a very regular basis to check in with her , face time my brothers and do a bit of organizing in her room while I am there . I really appreciate the kindness and care that the staff shows my mom and myself. Mom passed way on 6/7/25. I continue to appreciate the kindness that was shown to mom and myself while she lived there. If your loved one has cognitively related decline and you need more care, please consider Rosewood as a place for your loved one to live and be cared for by knowledgeable and caring staff.

If your like me, life change forces you to consider assisted living for an elderly parent. When I was faced with that decision, I went to Google in search of a local Assisted Living Center. Deciding on which facility to choose was a bit challenging because I did not have any personal references to lean on. My goal was to find an assisted living community that had a staff that would truly take care of my father and provide a loving, friendly environment for him to live in that allowed him to have some feeling of freedom. After considering the multiple options, my gut feel was to engage Rosewood. I'm so glad that I did. Rosewood totally exceeded my expectations as they provided a level of service and satisfaction that you just don't hear about with many of the assisted living homes today. From the first day that my father moved in there, he was ecstatic about: 1) His room- Has 3 separate areas: Living room, Bedroom and large bathroom. It’s the perfect size. The cleaning staff comes in daily to empty trash and to check on him. They thoroughly clean his room once a week and do his laundry for him. He has access to a resident Washer / dryer 24/7 at no charge if we want to do his laundry at any other time. 2) The food is exceptional-and they always had options to choose from. It's typically hot and delicious. Their Head Chef, Pedro, has been at Rosewood for many years and his love for cooking good food is evident. 3) The Environment- Its very clean, charming and comfortable. It doesn’t have that Dirty diaper smell that many other facilities have. My dad has met many new friends who enjoy living there as well. 4) The Executive Staff / Management- Eric and his team (Sarah, Melissa, Addie, Joy, Amber and Paul) look at each resident individually and somehow craft their services to meet my dads needs. They have a unique ability to find, hire and retain caregivers that have servant hearts vs. people who just look at this as a job. As these are the people that care for my father, 24/7, this allows me to sleep better at night knowing that my dad is cared for. 5) The General Staff, Med-tecs and caregivers- They are totally awesome! They know my dad, they deeply care about him and he feels so Loved at Rosewood. This team is a difference maker as they really take pride in what they do and they always make my father seem important and cared for. 6) It’s a Family Environment- At the end of the day, you will most likely spend a lot of time at Rosewood as you visit your loved one. This team feels like a family to me and they always make me feel right at home. Erics door is always open and he will work with you, make the necessary adjustments to ensure everyone is satisfied. 7) Financial- by now you have found that assisted living facilities are not cheap. Having said that, I found Rosewood to be less expensive than their competitors (in this area) and the value that we received for that money exceeded my expectations. In addition to that, as my father's needs have grown, the level of service that Rosewood has provided has continually increased to meet his needs. When that happens, many facilities will nickel and dime you to death for every little service and I found that Rosewood was very fair on how they approach things. I know everyone's situation will be different, but just know that, in my experience, Eric and his team are open to working with you. Again, if you are finding yourself in a position that requires you to make the difficult decision on a safe, caring environment for your Loved one, I am hoping that this review will help make that decision much easier for you. I would recommend Rosewood to anyone looking for an Assisted Living Facility.

My experience with Rosewood was great! The staff is friendly and want to make the transition for your elderly family member as comfortable and gentle as possible. My mother and father in law were both there until they passed. It is importance to know that family being present is key to a good experience anywhere they transition to. The staff worked with us to get them the care they needed throughout the process and helped us get through after they passed.

My parents moved into Rosewood Assisted Living in Flower Mound in 2022 and recently passed away in mid 2024. The staff and management were outstanding and I highly recommend them. I had to move my dad from California in May and have to say that He loves Rosewood. He adjusted very well and enjoys the activities and the food is wonderful. As a recent widower , I was very concerned that he would just sit around and be depressed, but this is not the case. My dad is well cared for and since I travel for work, I know he is well care for and that gives me peace of mind. I know that I can recommend Rosewood, confidently to anyone who is thinking about placing a loved on in assisted living.

My family loves this place . We had our mother in another care home and where very unhappy with their care and moved her to RoseWood in Flower Mound . The staff is amazing . The level of care they give our mother is wonderful . They have all kinds of fun actives on top of the great care . Jill dose the activities has so much love and energy for the residents there. Cindy at the front desk has gone above the call of duty for our mother she is so kind . Judy drives the group to outings and medical appointments she is amazing . Sandra B. The nurse has taken great care to help my mom . Shannon P .director and Sarah in sales can’t say enough about you and your team . To the chef and kitchen help right down to the people who clean and do her laundry a big shout out to you all . I would highly recommend Rose Wood in Flower Mound to anyone . You have no choice but to move a cherished family member into an assisted living center. Lots of emotion and tears. You have to coordinate with family and friends, you have to deal with houses and cars. So much to do in such a short time. And you have never looked at facilities before, so have no idea how to compare them. Looking around the city that you are interested in, you build a list of facilities, ask local resources for advice, friends in the area about any experience they might have, then you start to visit facilities. Immediately you start to find out what the most important three things are. Staff, staff, staff. Really, you can find similar buildings, with similar activities, etc. However, you quickly realize that the quality begins with every member of the staff. You need it to be the best, from top to bottom. Because there will not be any level of staff that does not affect the quality of life that your loved one will have. Do they take all of the time you need to show you the facility and take an interest in special needs you feel you have? Do you get to visit with kitchen staff, enrichment staff, on site nursing staff? Do the other residents look happy, comfortable, and engaged? Here is what we have found in Rosewood during our journey. Starting with the Shannon Tinsley, head of sales, she took all of the time we needed with them, to explore options, explain the community, understand not just today’s needs, but long-term needs: A+ While moving in, got to work with maintenance staff: A+ Welcoming new members to the community: A+ Nursing staff coming up to speed on needs and care concerns: A+ Enrichment (trips off campus, on campus events): A+ Lunchroom (large, airy, great menu): A+ Speaking of Shannon, even though she is in sales, she did not leave us after the sale was over. Cannot express how much she has helped us in the months after navigating various issues, most unrelated to her sales role. Amazing human!

After looking at the other assisted living places in the area we decided on Rosewood. It clearly is the best in so many ways. The former director of this facility, Terry, is a close friend of mine. I have known her for many years. She is a devoted, caring and compassionate woman. I question the motives of those who chose to be untruthful about her handling of recent events at Rosewood. She would never respond as was described in a previous post. Since becoming the director of this facility she has been devoted to those employed there and to the residents. Terry strived to make Rosewood a safe harbor for its residents She was vigilant and assured that laws and procedures were followed in caring for residents. There were no cases of COVID-19 at the facility under her leadership. She made herself available to her employees 24 hours a day, answering their calls and consulting with them to insure a positive outcome for every situation that presented itself. She made it a priority to offer an environment that was clean and attractive and to serve healthy, delicious meals. She accomplished this only with the help of trusted, professional staff members, and by replacing those who were not guided by the same sense of devotion she felt toward those living at Rosewood. She enjoyed creating displays for and planning special events to delight the residents. During this pandemic when assisted living/memory care facilities have been scrutinized for their care of the elderly, I find it inexplicable that Terry was not afforded the opportunity to defend her reputation and therefore continue as Rosewoods director. It doesn’t make any sense!

Rosewood Assisted Living & Memory Care is a wonderful place for residents to enjoy all types of activities, Entertainment, outings, weekly events, exercise in groups, or they can exercise individually. There is a variety of things that each person can do, with the other residents or on their own. Family are always welcome and are encouraged to participate in many events. It's a Beautiful Facility with a friendly, caring staff who genuinely care for the resident's well being, comfort & care. The current Director Terry Acker is a very sweet and caring person who is very knowledgeable and truly cares about each and every resident and staff member there. I believe this current Team and staff and employees are the best they've ever had. Each one of them are very sweet, sincere people who truly care about the residents and each other like family. The Chef and kitchen staff are wonderful and serve delicious healthy meals. The Facility is always Beautiful, clean and comfortable and has a feeling of home for the residents. I first started coming into this facility about four years ago to visit someone who lives there and I was very impressed right from the beginning of the beauty and the wonderful feeling of home. Each resident treats each other like wonderful friends and like family.

Experience was good at first because there were not many people there when my parent moved in but when there got to be more residents the ratio of care partners to residents was too low. Care partners tried but needed more help. When new management came in notice was given of a 7 to 10 percent increase in services each year. My mom was without her medications for 6 days and I was not informed. I discovered it when the pharmacy bill came. I had to get it straightened out. Disappointed that management would not find a way to put someone at the front desk more hours than M-F 8am-5pm. No one to monitor it evenings or weekends. Food is mediocre and servings are small. Also, there is no covered area to load and unload residents when weather is bad.

Very disappointed on how they treated our family member and their belongings. They try and throw blame on the family during such a difficult time. Has happened several times, so it's not the families. Please be aware of this before placing your family there. Also, they don't disclose all the expenses upfront and by the time you have your family member there, they know you can't just move them. Please watch your family if you do place them here!!!
