Avanti Senior Living at Flower Mound has been a Godsend for my Father-in-law. From the first moment we walked in for a tour, we knew this would be his new home. The facility itself is beautiful and open. The staff is always welcoming and engaging with both residents and guests. Any issues that have arisen are quickly handled, and concerns regarding his health are efficiently handled. Ja'Qhai, the Social Director is top notch. The events and social activities he plans and oversees are thoughtfully curated and tailored to resident requests. My Father-in-law is big talker and Ja'Qhai is always willing to sit and visit. He keeps me apprised of the "little things" that may be needed to make his days more fulfilling. To the care staff, the chef, the administration, the fitness staff, and all in between...KUDOS for trying to make Avanti feel like home and truly caring about the residents and their wellbeing. It does not go unnoticed. My Father-in-law in law is more engaged in "life" than he has been in years, and for that we are eternally greatful.

Yesterday we celebrated my parents Golden Anniversary with the amazing assistance of Ja’Qhai! My Dad suffers from dementia so wanted him to feel comfortable by staying at his home with friends he sees daily. Ja’Qhai coordinated everything from time, to set up, to assisting with their with playing their actual wedding music, and helped the whole party become a success! Both my Mom and Dad were so touched. All of their friends from Avanti, and staff that have become their family, were there. Ja’Qhai really made the evening a special one!!

We placed Mom here a little over 1 year ago, shortly after Dad passed, moving from a facility where management was falling apart. We were excited, praying we made a good decision. Initially we were very pleased, then observed lack of services promised like laundry, assistance, exercise classes, social activities, etc. as people were leaving. It wasn’t difficult to see (and even feel personally) the treatment from the then ED (L Marshall) and recognize her negative impact. We lost the social director, the activity/exercise director, several health care workers, maintenance, and probably more unknowns. We were not getting call backs or responses to emails. The ED was treating everyone terrible and talk down to them in front of us. As paying families, and paying a LOT, we were sometimes talked to with an attitude as she would shake her head and talk to us like we were stupid. She is now gone!! Yay! This is probably the reason for several of the negative reviews. Fast forward to several months later and now. We have had an acting ED twice, a short lived ED, and now one that appears to be permanent. We’ll hope this works out well! We also have several new health care workers. We got a new exercise director (Brandon) who is doing a really good job, although Mom has dropped out. His classes seem to be full and he is always pleasant. Ja’Qhai is doing a bang up job as the new social director. He has coordinated activities that include families, obviously recognizing the importance to encourage family members to visit & be involved. Andthe activities are fun! He is also present in the common areas, patient, happy and friendly. We are very pleased with the improvements and are keeping our fingers crossed.

We highly recommend Avanti for senior care. My stepmother was a resident of Avanti in Assisted Living for a couple months, then Memory Care for 1.5 years. While high turnover is a given for this industry in general, we saw responsible leadership at Avanti, and wise caring decisions from management. We appreciated the smaller size where the resident-to-staff ratio was low. The food was good, the attention to birthdays and holidays were always present, and most of the staff genuinely cared for their residents. While it was difficult to oversee the care of my stepmother (who had Alzheimer's), Avanti made the journey much better.

My mom has lived there for over 4 years and loves it. She calls it her home now. While the place isn’t perfect (no place is), the love the people there. A few of her favorite people who take care of her have been there for a very long time and she calls them her family now. I love knowing my mom has friends there and people that take great care of her. She loves the exercise class and happy hour. It is the favorite part of her day. We moved from a different nursing home place which we were not happy. Avanti has been nothing but great for my mom and we are glad she lives there!

The staff and management at Avanti Flower Mound just accomplished what I thought would be an impossible task for my loved ones - a couple who have been married for 65 years and haven't spent a full day apart in over 40 years. The wife needed to be moved to Memory Care and the husband is still mentally sharp but physically impaired, and needs to stay in assisted living. The team put together a plan, based on their combined experience, and were able to greatly exceed my expectations, turning what I expected to be a horribly stressful event into a non-event, as both parties are now comfortable in their new environments, one day after their separation.

My 90 year old mother is a resident at Avanti. With all that is going on in the world right now, one thing I have not had to worry about is my Mom. The management and staff at Avanti are outstanding. They were good before all this, but they have really upped their game during this difficult time. They are on lock down and I haven't been able to go and take her out or spend time with her one on one. Everyday, I get an email with all the activities and programs they are doing for their residents I call my Mom everyday and she is doing fine, she sounds happy. Her meals are brought to her and she is getting visits from the wonderful staff. This has been one less thing that I have to be concerned about, and I appreciate it so much!! if my Mom needs something they will call me and I take it to the entrance and someone from the staff will come and take it from me and give it to her. They have kept her spirits up so my spirits are up. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a home for your loved ones, because that is what it is a home. Thank you so much, Avanti, for all that you have done and continue to do at his difficult time and always.

My father is showing signs of dementia and I can no longer take care of him. We both decided that an assisted living community is the best solution for him. I have toured a few communities without him, just so I can do the legwork. I’ve got to say that the memory care program at Avanti Senior Living Flower Mound offers the best design and layout to help those with dementia. The colors, lighting, and even the handrails in the hallway help to keep them oriented.
