Denise Colville, the Activities Director at HollyMead is beyond amazing!! I go to HollyMead on a regularly to visit a dear friend who has lived at HollyMead since his wife died. I love taking Sam down to the Activities Room to join in on the fun. Denise has the residents making jewelry, stringing beads and doing all kinds of crafts. It makes me so happy to see the residents interacting with each other and with Denise. She has even organized a Fall Festival the past few years with a petting zoo of farm animals. The residents go crazy over the goats and ponies!! Thank you Denise for making HollyMead a happy home for so many people!!! Susan Langford

Very impressed! Especially with the activities for the residents. Denise Colville does a VERY good job offering so many activities such as crafts with beaded jewelry, classes and even Bingo. The residents seem to love having so many things to do. Very nice and clean facility.

I was surprised to see the rating of this facility as it surely is a wonderful facility and deserves a higher rating of at least 4-5 stars ! I have been a resident in and out of this facility for the past 2 years due to different surgeries. Believe me I make sure to let them know that this facility is the only place I will go to! The staff is caring and always is there to help with my needs. The Rehab team is awesome and address all the different therapy needed,. The food is great and gives variety . The nurses and aides are knowledgeable and work hard while still keeping a smile and pleasant personality even when busy. The office staff are helpful and if there is a difficulty they do their best to help you through it. Bottom line is that this facility cares about you not just as a patient but as a person individually who needs help with different health issues. I feel confident here as a patient knowing that they care about me and my needs and will do their best to make sure my health is a priority to them! Thank you to all staff at HollyMead!!

Beautiful facility! Very spacious private rooms. Accommodation was exceptional the staff were very attentive to my needs after surgery. The therapy department was great and I loved the food. I definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for great care!

Thank you to Hollymead Skilled Nursing, My mom was sent after a fall from Flour Mound hospital and she is almost ready to come home after two weeks. The staff has been caring and the therapy staff has been very attentive. I love how the Director of Nurses Angela came to welcome us when we first arrived. hopefully we don't have any future medical issues but we will return for the great service provided if we have too

One star is for couple of staffs who are amazing shot out to phillip kodi dj and jess Weekend staff need to be worked on The second star is for the clean lobby which i hoped it will be as clean as my room i left the room when discharged not cleaned for a week smelling like a garbage truck Night staff need to be energetic and more responsive i needed assistance with medication at midnight no response i had to call the facility and hoped someone would pick up and attend my room without a 20min wait

On-site Doctor changed medications due to not reading patients existing health issues. Altered pain meds. Failed to make sure cancer meds. we're administered. Nursing staff will not administer medication on a timely manner. Facility is in good shape, clean, well maintained. Staff is kind and caring most of the time. The newer nurses are scared of loosing their license versus doing the human thing. As for responding to call button, it's a 50/50 issue. Depending who the nurse is you may get a proper response or it may by 20 minutes to an hour. Overall, be VERY, VERY, CAREFUL selecting this place. What the website shows isn't necessarily what you get. They are better than some places, but depending on what you're here for will decide the quality of care you get. The question now is will they adapt and change or stay and just get worse.

While I was at the facility I received five star treatment. Staff was very attentive and courteous. I was very delighted to see how clean an organized the facility was. The rehab technicians were very knowledgeable and encouraging. I came in to rehab a neighbor a me replacement. In six months I will be doing the left leg. Nick was one of the best CNAs that I’ve ever had the closer pleasure of attending to all of my meetings. I did not have to ask. He just automatically knew what to do when to do it and how to do it very professionally he checked on me regularly, and he deserves to be recognized. Hollymead staff is caring, competent and professional. This is the kind of team you want on your side in recovery. Nursing staff, therapy team and the administrative staff all work together to provide excellent care. There are many people at Hollymead Nursing they should be recognized. First of all Ms. Lisa our administrator, who does an awesome job of making sure our needs are taken care of. Precious our wound nurse is amazing. Heather, Sherrie, receptionist also go above and beyond the call of duty. Denise our activity director is the best, she always treats everyone like we are special to her, activities she plans are fun and she is one of the top reasons my husband and I enjoy it here. Shane, Jacob, Moneik, from 300 hall are so good to my husband. They make me feel at ease for his care. Debra one of the nurses from 100 hall has also been such a loving caring nurse. My 6 to 2 aide Alicia on 700 hall, Monica, who always is willing to help other aides, my Med CNA, Abdule, Deena med aide 2 to 10 aide. There is probably someone I have left out, not intentionally though. Koodos and God's blessings to each of you.

Hollymead is a good facility for your loved one. I have been here for 1 yr. 5 Mos. Has it's issue like many other facilities but here at Hollymead, they do resolve issues was as quickly as they can. I especially want to give compliments to my aide Alicia from 2 to 10 shift. Alicia answers call lights as quickly as she can and takes care of my needs. While being professional she still makes me feel like she really cares. We work out together any issue that comes up. Way to go Alicia. Thanks for all you do.

I am writing about the activities offered at Hollymead for the residents. Denise, the activities director, gives everything she can for the residents. There are a wide variety of activities each month, something different every day. The activities room is large and overlooks a small courtyard, plenty of natural light during the day. Since many residents may not leave the facility often this activity program offers them a daily chance to meet with other and have a good time. Thanks again to Denise for all she does.
