They towed my car after just a week being here. For the first time in my life I accidentally let my tag expire. No one told me it had expired. They just hauled ioff my car like it was trash. Now I have lost my car. The walk into and out of the building is horrible and not conducive to elderly or disabled. I can’t open my blinds because of the sidewalk and Alley that runs from Center Street to Oak street and everyone wandering around can see right into my apartment. Also they were quick to tow cars but can’t prevent smoking in the building. If you have resources to live anywhere else do not come here.

Iv never lived in an apartment before here and I've been a resident long time and I've never been a problem to anyone living here but have had a few issues with this new manager first she hauled off some residents cars and on a Friday without any notice from office the manager left that day and cars had a note stuck on window saying it would be hauled away by 6pm next day then she wanted all pet records and that they were to be spayed or neutered then we owed back monies again if had no receipts well you would have to pay what they said bal was and then the new manager and her crew with building under construction sent out a paper to conduct an asbestos check in some rooms and had 3 different inspection crews to come and see if these rooms had any but when they came in it was a matainance member and a young guy who we had never seen and they already had half give or take of rooms open and being remodeled they didn't appear to do much but look a min in bedroom and kitchen after they left I played down and felt some kinda bug jumping on me and later that day was told by manager that i had bed bugs without looking at all and was told that the guys that did inspection was supposed to tell me while they was there but did not so she told me then now iv lived here awhile had never had them before but after that day have and massy pest control was called and came in and had never had to leave before when tbey worked but this time was told to leave four hrs cause of chemicals when i came back i could smell it a little an from looking around i found a small place where he put a little line of chemical on bed head that was all i could find and four more treatments to go while four went by and didn't seem to do much last treatment came and a different pest guy came and we was told we was supposed to get a bed cover and did not and was told that we was clear so didn't have to do last treatment after he left I still felt them and thats when we looked under bed with light and omg iv never seen so many and we didn't tell them and started handling problem ourselves and we got them under control but they hatch out every 7 days and when I couldnt feel them after that i felt like we had gotten them well they keep on coming back and I've been noticing that that things had been gone thru taken and retured while we was away not only was staff coming in without 24hr noticed to inter but was the asbestos check was when bugs was put in room and there seems to be a confrontation to get an emotional response out of the resedents so they could use it to evect some of us not all just ones they didnt even get to know us at all just going off some others coments bout other residents that can't seem to help but to say things that they had no idea bout some in here much less hardly spoken to but told new management untrue statements yeah there here and need to stay in there own buiss and outta others didn't know what was said but it seems a little sad when they take that as truth from people that go round here tadleing on everybody like little kids but the manager actes nice to your face but without knowing some in here seemingly to continue with do things by the book making her rules and adding these to exsisting ones as policy and uses them against you like she had wrote them herself recertifying was 4 mouths early and hurried to get it done on 2 seperate times cause she added a few more lines of her policies and while we was in office while we was signing she all of a sudden she jumps up and goes in our appartment for her look and to spray anything she knew we would touch with the flue as we finished she came back in i put a little piece paper on top of our door wen we left wasn't there when we came back and we both got sick and I thought that odd as i never get sick and we never got sick at same time And as they remodeled apartments some were given new ones and just a few was relocated because of issues and some was told that we was slated to have workers come in while we lived here an remodel while we was living in room didn't happen just another lie and when we told her that bugs was driving us crazy she seemed to smirk just for sec now as I said she hadn't got to know some of us and I know a liar by this as i was in sales for 20 yrs and was trained to spot these micro expressions along with body language to recognize lies and I was one of top salesmen in multi million dollar company not only that but as i was taking naps while workers was still here I could hear them under me drilling holes in the celling at first didnt think much of it but as days went on could hear drilling continue till give or take guessing some few hundred holes in my floor I'm not to smart but was also in construction for over 11yrs and there's nothing on these cellings that they would have that many holes drilled other than to put in microphones in it called law and was told that apartment below wasn't our property and take to our landlord bout it to witch was met with and appeared to an almost over ready willingness to go inspect to see if there was any holes in that celling and sure enough she went and came back with a video on her phone that showed no holes sadly this was a few weeks to maybe a couple months later before I told her my bad but as i heard more lies i felt like the matter would go as it did to witch I replied if some one would put some remover on it and it wouldnt have to be a big spot it would reveal holes to this daywe can hear them pecking on them and manager was also responsible for getting rent raised for all cola raise and we just had an increase yr before first time it wasnt much of an increase maybe 14 or so extra to rent and some said theres was bout same as last time ours on other hand increased 55 and we live on one check it used be ok here but since the new manager [name removed] has been here it's more like a jail house as we cant have guests and i mean every guest even family have been met with all kinds of new policy and don't get me wrong there's some people here that aint to bad but wow I never seen all that has happened to us coming never had a problem till she was hired ongoing still I think she has done all this an plans to keep up bugs as it throws us off on consentrating on other important matters and emotional response is a prize to them as it is emedeat egection from staff anger so it might get some to react in a not so good manner and eviction if u choose that way but in meantime trying to get us to either react in a way for that or to break our side of lease but to talk to her and staff you would not think all this is what is going on but the reality is that it continues with every passing day now im not to smart certainlynot as smart as her and we pay our rent on time and don't cause any problems and are nice as we can be to all maybe a few jokes to wrap up this ain't fare feel like we have been destinated against but with a cuning of a predator never have we had so much happen to us any where else we lived and our privacy is a common and ongoing joke round here as she has put spies on both sides an across hall of us and a recording studio under us as we express our unhappiness we havnt been offered another room without all the tec under us and we dont feel like we are being treated fare as the others here it's a shame we would ask for a transfer but fear we wouldnt get any help went to khra as well and got to top of list was ask to fill out application filled it out and it said it was sent but they said it didnt only to lose our spot again seems everytime like i said we aint as smart as most we think she has her hands in quite a few avenues not only but other offices as well we dont know why we had to go thru so much after her hire and dont enjoy it at all specaily the bugs we never had before she came was here bout 5yrs yeah we had a few moments we all do we are sry if we did or done anything to pravoke this uncommon behavior that we are currently recieving and would just like to be left alone in peace as others seemed to be we stay in our lane just want same for all we don't have our rites here as others but then again we dont kiss [language removed] like some that seemed to be out to get anyone they dont like or fit in there circle forgive us as we are uneducated old and just trying to do rite things here to get along live and let live this place is nothing like they paint it and as for millions they say there putting in here from what iv seen its more like as cheap a remodel as iv everseen done not as much change as you would think for the kinda money thats being talked bout but we aint that smart anyhow have the truth for once hope it helps with all have a very blessed day too we think this has been going on not only here but all over a common practice we mite be wrong but think not. Worst of the worse places ever to live Please if you care for your elders never let them live in this mess bed bugs roaches mice unless you choose to do your own pest control and clean up black mold while dealing with the dangers it causes to our loved ones health. How the city of Kingsport and HUD allows this is unreal??? The positive reviews are ones who work here or should have never been in a senior living facility to begin with plus management changes every few weeks with notices that you owe thousands of dollars in undue rent. HUD rules ADA Laws FHA Laws broken everyday here ...please avoid at all costs. Many have chosen to live/sleep in cars to avoid the mess.

What a joke this place is unfit to live in i got a name for it elder abuse charges should be brought on this outhouse and most of staff should be in jail iv lived here for over 5yrs i dont know but 4 of these pepole that posted on here but they lied for some reason and the rest is pepole that probly work here nothing but lies what is wrong here is the management they have done nothing but abuse the elderly period and charges should be levied on all staff every last one OUTRAGIOUSE what a bunch of woohaa u all should be ashamed of urselves theres a special place in hell for pepole like u i hope u all get ur comeupins too this place is a outhouse

I'm the Security Supervisor for National Security Ops. We are a contracted vendor for Maple. I've been at the property since February 2024. I've seen a huge change in this place since Avenue 5 has taken over. The senior property manager Amy, maintenance supervisor Jake, maintenance Ronny and housekeeping Rhonda has busted there butts trying to bring this building back to life and give it beauty again. So much is getting done. A huge thank you to the residence that have been so patient through this process.

We are sub contractors at Maple Oaks. With Avenue 5 taking over we have seen a wonderful change. The office manager Amy is always smiling and is a pleasure to work with. I can see a big difference in this property in the last few months and am sure it will only continue to improve. I can see not only Amy but maintenance and the whole Maple Oak team really care about their tenants and want to make this a beautiful home for them.

I am 25 year old. I've been living here since last year. On June 2nd they sent out a noticed for an inspection with four dates on it that they were going to come inspect. Didn't show up any of the days and i wasted my time waiting. Not the first time this happened. Also at the beginning of the month i put a check in for rent.... Took them 12 days just for it to go thru. I keep hearing gunshots out my window. The door to the 3rd floor is broken again. Homeless people bang on my neighbor door thru the night every night. Someone is always yelling. Someone threw a fire extinguisher through the window next to the 3rd floor door. Yet i get complaints about my dog at night... I wonder why... And its not always my dog. Then there's the fire alarm that goes off for more then one hour. I go take my trash out and the dumpster is overflowing...so i have to wait. I'm don't feel safe and im glad i have my dog to protect me. People need to get their heads together and start getting with the program.

Constantly needs to be cleaned. Bedbugs and roaches everywhere. Only one dumpster so it's full after just 2 or 3 days. Need lights in the courtyard and parking areas. Maintenance barges in to apartments and bedrooms through closed doors. Needs trash receptacles around the building and outside. The elevator at one end of the building is constantly broken, so if you can't do stairs you have a long walk to the other elevator. The glass has been broken out of one of the external doors for over a month. Needs new staff.....

Ive lived here almost 8 years the manager is always spoke kind to meno one ever a knocks on my door bothering me about drugs or anything else Im almost 63 years old I have a lot of health problems and this place is actually been good for me I always get help from EMS caretakers anything else that I need theonly reason someone would be bothered with drugs is because theyre going around the wrong people tend to your own business stay out of other peoples and you could have a pleasant life living here and if you see any drug activity going on theres 911 for you to call and then I would get rid of it instead of you complaining about it so pitch in and do your part getting rid of the drug dealers have a blessed day and have a blessed life. Theyre going to be drugs anywhere you live and I mean anywhere so stop acting like Maple oats is the only place that has drug dealer drug users and any other type people theyre everywhere
