My husband I visited Somerby in Franklin, TN to see if it would be the right fit for us when we were ready for either residential or assisted living. Bottom line: We were enormously impressed with the facility, programs, services, food and staff. While we were there, new paint and other beautiful improvements were underwaybut we wondered why since the entire facility looked sparking and new!! It’s because the parent company keeps their facilities in tip top shape all the time. Both residential and assisted living apartments were spacious and modern with beautiful appliances and bathroom appointments. Honestly I felt like we were in a five-star hotel. Programs were plentiful for all levels of activity and interest. Somerby Franklin takes care of maintenance and housekeeping; they obviously do a great job as everything was in top notch shape. We met the absolutely wonderful onsite nurse practitioner who cared for residents’ daily needs. She was also well-connected in the Franklin medical community to make referrals as needed, but many residents consider her their primary care medical person. Now about the foodamazing!! There are two white cloth restaurants and a deli. (One restaurant is geared for Assisted living). We had dinner and it was exceptional. We could have been in a restaurant, and we love great food. Meals are served by a wait staff and there was plenty of happy chatting very residents as well. Our host for the tour was Marketing Director, Rain Compton, who was lovely and knew the residents and facility well. She thoroughly answered our questions and helped us understand what a move to Somerby would be about. Any downsides to Somerby? Only that we are not quite ready to move in!! We felt the pricing structure was reasonable, the location in Franklin was perfect for us. We have confidence in their parent company, Bridge Senior Living, that is financially solid. Bridge has a quality of life mission for seniors that we likeda life of comfort, ease and convenience and a wellness focused approach to serving residents. We liked that. Six stars for Somerby Franklin!!

My Mother and I cannot speak highly enough about the experience we had with Rain (sales person & tour guide) from Somerby Franklin. She was genuinely interested in my Mom, friendly, answered every question and, was she showed us around the facilities - she randomly into residents who obviously adored her. I lived at Somerby Franklin for one year. I had a great experience there with the staff and started with my salesperson, Stacy. and the residents. I enjoyed all the special events that were planned for us by the Lifestyle Director, Nicole. They did a fabulous job of decorating for each season and holiday. Due to some health issues I left to move to St. Louis to be closer to my daughter . I still miss the friends that I made there who were patient with me while learning new card games. Fond memories!

We had an excellent experience at Somerby in Franklin, TN! We met with Rain Compton, the marketing director, regarding our consideration of their assisted living and independent living facility. We were very impressed with her and every single staff person that we interfaced with during our visit Rain provided a wonderful tour of the property and explained all the amenities, etc. She spent a lot of time with us and explained various features of the model unit. Her attention to detail has been a great help so I can share this with my parent who lives out of state. She has provided great follow up regarding our questions. We were also invited to enjoy a meal at dinner time so we could evaluate the dining options. The food was excellent! The servers of the restaurant were great and so friendly. We were very impressed that every single resident that we encountered during seemed to be very happy and said they really enjoyed living at this facility. Thank you for such a great experience! Lilac Trace at Somerby was such an answer to prayer. We came for a visit in a time of crisis because my mom (who had mixed dementia and several co-morbidities) had been traumatized in another local facility. We were emotionally devastated and needed somewhere safe for mom. From the initial tour with Stacy (who was incredible) to our interactions with Beth Echton, executive director, and everyone else ... everything happened quickly, smoothly, and most importantly ... with compassion. We were thrilled to be able to move mom into her cozy new space, and beyond thankful for the personalized attention we received to her specific needs and personality. My mom suffered a lot of abuse in her life, and the staff in Lilac Trace took the time to understand that and to create a care plan with us that took everything into consideration. I love that there are very few residents (I think only 23) in the memory care community, so it doesn't feel like a cattle call when you see residents gathered in the recreation area. I love that the dining room looks like fine dining rather than an institutional cafeteria. I love that the decor doesn't make you feel like you're in a mortuary, but rather a modern resort. I had wonderful communication when I needed it, and felt respected and encouraged as mom's primary advocate. Mom entered hospice while living at Lilac Trace, and when she was hours from taking her last breath, staff member after staff member came in to see her and tell stories of how much they enjoyed her. They cried at the thought of her not being there, which meant the world to us. Honestly, I believe God used Somerby and Lilac Trace just as much for me as for my mom. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I recently took a tour of Somerby in Franklin, and Stacy was so professional and knowledgeable in answering all my questions and showing me around the entire facility. I enjoyed having lunch there and it was better than a 5 star restaurant and the chef, and servers were all so accommodating. The grounds are so well maintained, the list of activities available, the apts., and just EVERYTHING is wonderful and Stacy and Somerby far exceeded my expectations.

We’ve recently seen more positive changes at Somerby of Franklin and the Lilac Trace Community (Memory Care). Brooke (the Director) has an active presence in the Community and takes time to engage with her residents. Our family member is participating more in activities (with assistance) and is more verbal. She seems more content in her Somerby home. I recently experienced one of the Caregivers (Shante) go to every resident at the end of her shift to say goodbye and tell them she’d see them in a few days. What a heartwarming gesture! The planned activities by Lifestyles seem to keep the residents engaged at every level. Adrienne and her coworkers are definitely passionate about FUN and putting a smile on the resident's faces! What a great idea to have residents from other areas of the Somerby Neighborhoods visit Lilac Trace, spending time with the residents and building friendships. This time together is so special and greatly appreciated. In recent months Lilac Trace has become a brighter, happier place!

This is a great place to live!! I have lived here since it opened. The staff is friendly and caring. All the safety features make me feel totally safe. My weekly housekeeping is a true blessing. Miranda my housekeeper is GREAT! I am allergic to pets and sometimes they are in the common areas where they are not supposed to be. Other than that, I can’t think of any negatives. It’s a great place to live.

Somerby has been a Godsend to me and my family. After multiple visits with my elderly parents, they finally decided to move into Somerby. Stacy has been a particular shining star as she graciously held our hands through the decision process, and was kind and understanding as the difficult decision was made. But now that my parents have moved, the burdens of home ownership (maintenance, fees, property taxes) have been replaced with a single monthly fee and they enjoy excellent meals prepared for them, weekly house cleaning, in-house doctors, and socialization. However, the true gem of Somerby is Nicole (Lifestyle’s Director) and her incredible team. Nicole Freck, Somerby’s Lifestyle’s Director for the past four years, joined during the pandemic’s final stretch and swiftly transformed the community with her dynamic approach. Like a tornado of positive energy, she curated an innovative calendar of events, introducing a peer partner program that instills purpose and community engagement. My father-in-law actively participates in this program, emphasizing its impact. Nicole’s magic extends beyond events; she has crafted a true home where everyone finds a reason to embrace each day. Her stunning decorations, elaborate events, and creative activities consistently leave residents in awe. As Nicole aptly puts it, there’s always a reason to celebrate. I came here to write a review on behalf of our fam and saw Scott Hastings reviewfeel like it’s everything I came here to say. We moved my mom in Aug 22 and by Sept 23 all the services that were already struggling have continued to decline. Food is mediocre at best. Weekly housecleaning was not weeklylots of no shows and no attention to any details. She spent her first year wondering when she’d get all that was promised and she was paying for. Instead, the services continued to decline and the rent increased. A 10% hike at the first year, from 4895 to 5385. So we found much better options at half the price. It’s not a senior living center, but with several others from Somerby moving in too, there’s friendship. And we can buy life alert, pay for housecleaning and get prepared meals and still have it cost 1000-2000 less than NOT getting those services as promised for 5400/Mo. She also went from a one bedroom to a two bedroom. On a positive note, the activities are pretty good, well organized. But most of the things she likes were games and card groups that were just amongst residents/friends and not through organized activities. As we were moving her out (Oct 2023) the residents were receiving yet another 10% increase notice. That’s a lot of money to not get what you signed up for. Also, take note.when the reviews here from friends and family are poor (2-3 stars) and they have their affiliates/employees post 5 star reviews to boost the average, that says all you need to know. 5 star reviews from people who work alongside or within Somerby are not residents. If you’re wanting to know how the RESIDENTS and their family’s think, focus on those reviews.

This place is going downhill. Moved Mom in a couple of years ago. It was under different management then and a very nice place with nice helpful staff. Then the management changed! The bistro which used to offer prepared breakfasts and lunches now only offers pre made sandwiches and salads. No more breakfast at the bistro. The dining room which used to offer wonderful meals now only has a few choices and is serve yourself buffet. Want a salad with your meal it's an additional $7. Dinner choices aren't very good and repetitive. The cost to live there and what you pay for meals had increased yet the services have decreased. Maid service is non existent. I've had to clean my mother's bathroom as the maid doesn't do that. She also doesn't dust. I understand staying away from the expensive nic nacs but empty counter space should be dusted. All I can see that the maid does is change the sheets on the bed and run a damp floor mop across part of the floor. This place is all about making the $ while providing the absolute least service available. Don't recommend this place anymore at all. There are better places available in the Franklin area.

Although, the staff has almost completely turned overMy Mom and Dad have had wonderful care along. My Dad has passed to the spiritual. Lauren and staff were great. My mom was moved to memory care a few years ago. Kathy Johnson is by far the best I’ve seen as Director. I know she is in great care as my Dad was upstairs with Director Lauren Latte.
