The headquarters office for Cypress Place Assisted Living- Enlivant - is in Chicago, IL. Last year they told my friend that they could no longer care for her because she needed memory care, which they did not offer there. The doctor took up for her, said my friend did not need memory care, so they kept her. My friend was taken in at an all inclusive rate, which means her rate would not go up if her level of care did go up. The nurse and local director manager reassured me so within the last month or so. My friend got a letter dated Sept. 1 , stating they were raising her rate over 3,000.00 for a cost of living increase. Cost of living is about 10%, a couple hundred dollars a month, not over 3,000.00. Where does a senior get OVER 36,000.00 a year?! HELP!!!

Despite staffing changes and covid, these folks work hard to give seniors good care. New manager Johnna and nurse Holly work with families to better understand residents needs In house Doctor Boyer is very professional, yet very compassionate to her patients and their families, striving to give the residents the best care possible. Home like atmosphere.

I cant say enough positive things about Cypress Place! My mother came here from an assisted living that she was at for only 9 months in Columbia, sc that she very rapidly spiraled down hill with her dementia, lost nearly half her weight within that time frame, became severely depressed, and wasnt allowed visits (we never even got to see her room to decorate it for her). She was deteriorating and our family never received any updates on her progress. When my family and I finally got to move her out, Cypress was the first place we inquired with and the one we ultimately went with. Their smaller facility has a more homey, personal vibe and everyone knows everyone there. Their staff (especially Ms Eileyn and Holly) have been so very caring and helpful throughout the entire process of her move since being there. The doctor that does rounds there, Dr Boyer, is amazing as well! Because of her, my mother is no longer constantly sedated on inappropriate medications and is finally getting the medical treatment that is needed! Fast forwarding to 2.5 months since my mother has been at Cypress, she has improved TREMENDOUSLY! She is finally eating, socializing, gaining strength, WALKING, and smiling. They inform us immediately if theres been a change in her mental status, any health issues arise, will send pictures, or just to give a general update on her. I love knowing that my mom is happy and loves everyone there. Her 24-7 smile continues to reassures me daily that Cypress was the right and only choice for her! Thank you to everyone there for caring for my mother the way she deserves to be cared for And btw: the food there awesome smells incredible and mom definitely doesnt miss any meals now either… especially when it comes to the desserts!

My family and I were truly blessed to find Cypress Place. From the moment we arrived the entire staff made us all feel welcome. We appreciate the love and care they show each resident. We were at peace knowing our mom was well cared for. We loved the chef who made every effort to satisfy everyone’s needs at mealtime. The activities and visiting entertainment always gives residents something to look forward to. My family and I absolutely love everyone at Cypress, from the office staff, nurses, technicians, housekeeping, maintenance, the chef and assistants. It truly is an extension of our family.

Cypress place is a very well run assisted living facility. From managers, activities, cooking, cleaning, and care staff. This is a 5 star community. The care they give you can see it comes from their heart.

I have been working at cypress place for a while now and i love my resident and staff. We try our best to gave good care and not only that out time when some of the team off they tryand comeand spend that one on one with resident who family cant come as much and that ok because that what family do and cypress is our family.

I looked around our area for assisted-living for my mother who has dementia, never would I think Ill be doing this, its the hardest choice I had to make. To be honest when I walked into Cypress Place I found it very homey the rooms were good size for one person and has a nice little kitchen area. The staff at Cypress Place are extraordinary wonderful caring people. Took a few weeks for my mother to adjust she tells me the people are wonderful treat her wonderful the food is very good it gives me a peace of mind knowing that she is safe and cared for. I would recommend Cypress Place for any love one you need to place.

We've had my Grandmother-in-law in 4 different homes in SC over the last few years, and this is by far the best. She never has any problems with the place and there's no drama. Every room has a nice window and it's all ground floor.
