When I came to Wellmore, I was coming home. I was no longer able to live at home and didnt want my family to care me. An assisted living community was my choice. I never dreamed that I would have a chance to call Wellmore home. The Wellmore attitute towards Assisted Living is to create a family experience. The physcial therapy program has created a personalized plan that is focused on aquacise. I have a care plan that was made with the Director of Nursing and now my needs are met 24/7. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. The food is exceptional, we have a chef and they take our suggestions! Wellmore loves my cats which means the world to me.

My mother has lived at Wellmore for several years, and our family has had a wonderful experience. No community is perfect, and caring for seniors is incredibly complex, but what stands out to me is that the staff genuinely care. They work hard every day to accommodate residents' needs, provide comfort, and create a place that feels like home. Over the years, there have been changes in management, yet one thing has remained consistent: the caregivers and team members continue to go above and beyond for the residents they serve. My mother is happy here, feels cared for, and enjoys being part of the community. I often hear families focus on what isn't perfect, and while concerns are understandable, I think it's important to remember something bigger. No one will ever care for your loved one exactly the way you would, because they are your loved one. But there is a difference between perfection and genuine care. The staff on all levels at Wellmore truly do care. If you're fortunate enough to still have your parent's hand to hold, cherish that gift. Time with our loved ones is precious and not guaranteed forever. Instead of focusing only on what could be different, take time to enjoy the moments you still have together and appreciate the people who are helping care for them. For our family, Wellmore of Lexington has provided a safe, caring, and welcoming community, and we are grateful for everything they do.

Mom called and and said, "This is Hellmore." Fortunately she doesn't have a significant memory impairment, so she's been able to tell me about the multiple occasions when she hasn't gotten any of her medication including PRN Tylenol. She was told to push her call button, but no one responds. At all. I've never received mandated notification about med errors. They have not followed doctor's orders in assisted living. No oversight. The orientation board of routinely 2-4 days behind. Talking to nursing staff - mgmt was met with gaslighting, redirected blame, and excuses regarding hired help. My mother has moved into Wellmore Assisted Living in Lexington. We could not be more pleased with her care. Her apartment is beautiful and the staff are AMAZING! Every staff that she comes in contact with clearly cares about the people that reside there. The facility is gorgeous and eating in the dining room feels like a five star restaurant with delicious food. I love that families can make reservations and eat anytime with their loved ones. We chose to utilize the onsite medical staff, therapist, and pharmacy and that has gone so smoothly. I know my mother is safe and very well cared for. We love the all inclusive concept which takes the stress of deciding on needed tiers away. I go by every day and already see how welcomed and loved mom is. They also have the best weekly outings and activities. Our family had always dreaded the day she would need more care, but thanks to everyone at Wellmore they have made it go perfectly for both mom and all of our family. We are so grateful she will be able to live out her remaining years at such a wonderful home.

Wellmore has been a huge blessing to our family. The many transitions of getting older don't tend to give you important dates ahead of time to put on your calendar. Life just keeps happening and most of the changes and adjustments you face are about 193 miles past the towns of Frustrating and Bewildering. However, we are thankful for God's mercy over my mom and the consistent kindness that she has been shown by the entire staff at Wellmore. As one of the residents (and a family friend) told us when we moved in, "It's not home, but it's the next best thing."

My mother is in a transitional memory care unit there and is well fed, entertained and cared for. Sure they experience staffing shortages (as does every other care facility) or things like a power outage from a hurricane, but they handle bumps in the road with grace. This is a perfect place for your loved one to be. My father In law came here three years ago. He first started out in skilled nursing and moved his way up to Assisted Living where he spent the rest of his days. The Administration, the nursing station, the dining room, the housekeeping were excellent in their services. He never had any complaints and every week told us he was fine with living there the rest of his life. They genuinely became friends with him and cared deeply for him. Always looking out for him. Our family had close relationships with the staff also. We cannot thank them enough for making him feel comfortable and cared for. I do not usually write reviews but WellMore deserves it! We had key cards and could show up anytime of day or night. The food is delicious. We ate in the dining room often and never had anything we didn’t like. Thx to all of WellMore staff who were involved.

Wellmore is, well, MORE! Just as you see in the pictures, it has lovely grounds to greet you, beautifully designed buildings inside and out, an attractive dining room with daily menu options that are truly delicious. But there’s MORE! Of all the things I appreciate, it means most to me that they offer more DIGNITY. Just because you need a little help remembering when to take your medicine or how to get to the dining room, shouldn’t mean you have to live in a dorm room. My mother entered Wellmore as "Independent Plus" with a spacious one-bedroom apartment including a living area, kitchenette, and a laundry room with space to store her seasonal decorations. If she needed to transition to full Assisted Living, she could do so without changing apartments! No other assisted living community I looked at offered such dignified space. At a time when medical care has become impersonal, inconvenient, and demoralizing, Wellmore has turned the tables. It is infinitely more dignified to have in-room nurse visits, in-house prescription service, and on-site physical therapy. Wellmore staff members provide top notch service often going above and beyond my expectations. They take great care to treat residents and family with kindness and respect. From the start, they have worked with us as partners through all the ups and downs. When it was time to move my mom to Transitional Memory Care, they helped us in every detail. As my mother’s memory continues to decline, I am confident she is in the best community to help keep her safe and to help maintain her dignity.

Wellmore of Lexington, stands out from other care facilities because as a resident you can move thru out the different care levels they have (long term care, Rehab, Transition Wing, Memory care, assisted living) and stay within the care of Willmore. you do not have to go to another facility. This way the resident still gets the same care givers they are familiar with and can still see her friends. my friend was in rehab then to long term care and hospice, with some tender loving care and visiting here every day, she got off hospice and went to assisted living doing very well. After falling a few times, she was transferred to the transition wing, and she has grown and is so happy and doing very well. going to activities, eating in the dining area, socializing with others.

The staff and community were amazing and Cheryl (her nurse tech) still checks on us from time to time a year after her passing. My mother's stay at Wellmore following a hospitalization that left her weak and with balance issues was nothing short of exceptional. The rehabilitation area was where she spent her recovery period, engaging in extensive physical and occupational therapy that proved to be incredibly beneficial. The therapists skillfully helped her transition from using a walker to a cane, and now she’s walking unassisted for the most part. We were thrilled when she was able to discharge back home. Throughout her stay, we found the staff to be friendly, caring, and exceptionally communicative, keeping us informed and involved in her care process. There was a range of activities available for her to participate in. Moreover, the food offerings were diverse and delicious, with my mother often praising the quality of the meals, especially highlighting that she had the best fish she’s ever tasted there. The gated community setting, with its beautiful landscaping, safety features, intercoms, and a helpful front desk, added a layer of security and peace of mind for both us and my mother. We also took note of the lovely independent apartments, which we are now considering for her future needs. Our experience with Wellmore was truly positive, marked by excellent care, effective communication, and a nurturing environment that not only aided in her physical recovery but also provided a delightful stay. We are deeply grateful to the staff and would highly recommend Wellmore to anyone in need of rehabilitation services or considering a comfortable and secure living arrangement for their loved ones.

Simply put, Wellmore cares. This is a facility that wants their residents to thrive. This is made most evident by their social director and her team. The activities hosted at Wellmore of Lexington are above and beyond and rooted in hospitality and fellowship. I was invited to participate in their dog show, where well behaved pups were invited to show off their tricks and shower the residents in affection. The smiles on the resident’s faces made it apparent that the afternoon was a success. It was a well organized afternoon and one of many in depth events the social director will host throughout the year. I truly want to especially thank Jason (residential advisor) and Candace (med tech) for being there for her and caring for her like she was unconditionally loved-family. My experience at Wellmore of Lexington was truly wonderful. I have taken a visit to this amazing place due to job shadowing for my school. The staff would have to be the nicest people I’ve ever met, Candace, the med tech working in Washington would have to be the best though. Taking care of everything and anything at any time. She is a very kind and helpful person. Another person I enjoyed chatting with would be Brooke. She helped keep the residents entertained and was kind while doing so. Also, the interior of the building is nice and updated. There were no issues with the restrooms or anything and the residents seem to be very happy where they are.

This is an expensive place and they run the place chronically short staffed. They will tell you the staff ratios are adequate but this is not true. I feel sorry for the staff that actually cares for residents because they always have WAY too much to do to actually give proper care to residents. The first day we moved my mom in, my sister and I went to buy some things for her room. When we returned a couple of hours later, our mother had been without her oxygen for so long she needed to go to the ER to be stabilized. The new nurse assistant had not been trained properly about oxygen. I do not fault the new employee as the responsibility rests on Wellmore executives to invest in decent training programs. The last time I saw my mother, I had spent six hours with her and enjoyed a lovely meal in the dining room. When we returned to her room we pushed the button to ask for her to be moved from her wheelchair to her bed which required two people to operate the lift. Two hours later I literally had to stalk the hallways (it was usually staffed with far too few employees) and insist someone help my mother. I wish I hadn’t been so exhausted chasing down staff that last day. I am so thankful my sister gave up her job to visit my mom many times a week to keep an eye on things at Wellmore. It was definitely needed due to the shortage of staff.
