The community is bright and cheerful, with natural light pouring in everywhere, displaying beautiful areas of nature and manicured outdoor spaces. I have been at Pocasset for 5 years and really enjoy it. My apartment is very spacious. All the residents are very nice and friendly. The employees go above and beyond to make me feel very comfortable. Victor is one of the best in the dining room always bringing me my coffee right away.

I have been an employee here for the past 4 years and I can say that it has been a great experience. I have created long lasting friendships which I can say are some of the best I have ever had. My coworkers are now more like a family. We are close in and out of work. The residents are great people and have taught me several life lessons. I can safely say that the staff and residents are some of the best people I have ever met. It truly is a community.

I really like my apartment. Its excellent. I wish the kitchen did more Italian food, but I do like the food though. I think the staff is great and the help is wonderful. I came here in late March and I like it but my favorite part are my neighbors to be honest. I love my friends and talking to them.

It is excellent here. The staff here is excellent, the helpers the workers, everyone is just so nice. I have no complaints about the food. I have only been here for two months almost, but overall it is just great. I love the land and I want it to be cooler so I can walk more because I dont do well with heat. Also I think my apartment is beautiful. Its the perfect size and I can take care of it easy.

Dan is a good worker And he is my best friend And I dont know where I would be without him and follows directions from his Boss, Laurie. They both help me a lot and I like them both. Laurie is always so nice to me and will help me with anything I need which goes a long way. Michelle is great with chorus and works hard. Kim is the best because if you want anything done, she will do it and does it fast. May is a great worker, doesnt fool around and takes care of me when I need something dining related. Hi Neighbor!

I am very pleased with the choice, my Aunt Marie made in February, 2020, selecting to reside at the independent living at Anchor Bay at Pocasset. She is very happy and comfortable in her apartment. The food is very good. The staff here is wonderful, friendly, and hardworking. Anchor Bay at Pocasset is very well maintained inside and outside. I would like to thank, Robin Pimental, for all the notifications concerning the Corona Virus Pandemic, and safety of all the residents. I would also like to thank Denise Moio-Touchetye, for her caring and thoughtfulness for the residents.

I love the place I live and I am very happy. I like all the activities and and all the staff, especially Danny in activities. Michelle is great, as well as Laurie and Donna in Activities. Kim is always so helpful in the office, as well as Cheryl. The entire staff is always so helpful and nice. I love living here and Im very happy, and I made a new best friend while living here! I love the music, and singing in the chorus. Finally Robin is always very nice to me and takes good care of us as well!

My Dad has lived in the community at Anchor at Pocasset for nearly three years. The entire staff has treated him with respect and dignity. I want to recognize several individuals who truly have stood out in my Dads daily life here. Laurie has given Dad much needed assistance helping him log into his congregation meetings before leaving at the end of her work day. This has been a lifeline to his well being. Dan also has given him a tremendous amount of help in setting up his new iPad so that he could have contact with friends and meetings on Zoom. He also takes time with Dad and has forged a nice friendship with him, which I appreciate greatly. John, Michelle, and many others have been so kind and have worked tirelessly in making our visits to him really count and his day to day life very enjoyable. Im so glad that Dad is at Anchor Bay all Pocasset. You are a top notch team. Thank you all for you do.

My mom has been living independently at Anchor Bay for just over a year now. We are so pleased with the staff and services! Mary (who brings mom her meds in the morning and evening), Cheryl and Genevieve (who answer the phones), Kim (who coordinates EVERYTHING), Michelle (who directs the choir), AnneMarie (who does Moms hair), and Danny (who brings Mom an ipad so I can facetime with her every week, and is just a great guy in general) are just a few shining stars among the staff of dedicated, kind-hearted professionals who have made my mother feel happy and at home at Anchor Bay. Last years Christmas Party was amazing. The movies, book clubs, walking club, companions at meals and gorgeous grounds all add to the wonderful experience that my mom is having in her new home. Top all that off with the peace of mind my family has that Mom is being cared for and looked after, all while living independently. Thank you Anchor Bay!

Carol in activities always takes great care of the Assisted Living Residents. Shes very efficient, she takes good care of us, and she keeps us safe by making sure we use our hand sanitizer and keeps our masks on and above our noses. She takes us outside twice a day and keeps us entertained with activities and exercise. I love Michelle and May. They are great workers and they are always busy doing things for the residents. They are great at what they do. Dan always takes care of me when I need things done and always makes me smile. I would like to adopt him as my grandson to be honest! The entire staff here is excellent and I like to tell Robin how great they are. Overall I like living here since I came here a year ago.

I love the staff here at Anchor Bay. They are compassionate and smart and caring and also intuitive. I love them dearly. The entire staff is good here. The staff actually cares about us and worry about us, but worry in a good way because they care about us dearly. Kim is always there for me when I need her. Cheryl in the office helps me quickly. Dan in activities always makes me laugh and smile and he is kind and listen and works hard. May in dining works hard too and her and Dan will do anything for me. Honestly the entire staff is unbelievably kind and they are all good to my puppy Charlie!

I wish I could give Anchor Bay 10 stars. I love it here! I would like to recognize Robin first with her handling of the Coronavirus. She has made things wonderful even though we are in a tough situation. Kim always helps me whenever I need her. Nathan always is there to help me and eases my mind. I love Gen and Cheryl at the front desk. I call them every couple of days and they always help. Michelle is always so sweet and helps me when I need her. I love Dana in the the kitchen, she is a fabulous cook. Dan is on the top of the list when it comes to helping me and making me smile. Everyone is so nice and I consider everyone who works here my family. Carol in activities is extremely helpful and I cant thank her enough for all the help. She was one of the first people I met and she helped me unpack my apartment and set it up too! There isnt person here who doesnt make me feel wonderful!

I enjoy that if I dont like the menu food options, I can ask for something else and the kitchen accommodates my husband and I the best they can. Anchor Bay provides its residents with a safe, caring, nurturing, and compassionate home. Both the Independent Living facility and the Assisted Living facility provide great comfort and care to its residents and their families. Throughout the years, its director, Robin Pimental, has led her staff to assist residents in a highly professional way with integrity and a clear vision to provide the best care possible. Both facilities, Independent Living and Assisted Living, are beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious. Every staff member has gone above and beyond to ensure that the residents are comfortable, safe, healthy, and cared for. Anchor Bays office staff, Kim and Cheryl, have gone to great lengths to handle the administrative day-to-day needs of the residents and their families. Kim is always on task with requested paperwork and administrative needs, and no matter how many times I call Cheryl on any given day, she is always pleasant and helpful. Tammi, Joanne, and Donna, on the Assisted Living unit, are available at all times to ensure that the nursing staff in that facility is attentive to the residents needs as well as to their familys concerns. I cannot say enough about the great care that Anchor Bay, both the Independent Living facility and the Assisted Living facility, provides to its residents and their families. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend either facility to my family or friends. Theyve done an excellent job in caring for our loved one.

My mother has been a resident in the independent living at Anchor Bay at Pocasset for 3 years. During that time, she has made many friends, has become involved in many wonderful activities such as singing in the chorus, traveling throughout the state on weekly bus rides, cooking, bingo, walking, planting, and art classes. She enjoys going to daily exercise classes, and game activities. She enjoys the weekly variety of musicians that come and entertain,and resident dancing, the theme parties like Kentucky Derby hat parade, Super Bowl party, New Years Eve Party, and movie days complete with popcorn! I enjoy the annual Christmas party which provides holiday music, food and drinks for everyone. Her apartment is so adorable, complete with a pretty patio , and is so safe, easy, and spotless due to the excellent cleaning staff! The entire staff at Anchor Bay is outstanding. First,for making my mother feel secure and comfortable when she arrived, engaging her in all the activities, pairing her with people that have become her dearest friends, and providing a beautiful place to socialize. Second, in any matter, whether small or serious, the staff is professional, thoughtful, and communication with the family is immediate and courteous. The maintenance staff is absolutely awesome! Whenever she needs anything, they are so happy to hang a picture, move furniture, and especially help with the cable services! Last, but not least, I am so awestruck at the way the entire staff has handled the Coronavirus pandemic! During this stressful time, they have kept the residents safe from harm, lovingly cared for them, and continued to keep me and my family informed through weekly notices, and now providing social distance visits. The protocol that they have followed should be applauded and staff should be honored! The entire staff is wonderful! It is so hard to single out one person! A special kudos goes to Danny, Michelle, Donna ,and Kim!

I started at Anchor Bay in March just before the height of COVID. The precautions taken for the safety of the residents has been exceptional. Seeing the residents now being able to visit outside with family, get their hair done, sit outside for fresh air and finally having lunch with their friends has been wonderful. I want to send kudos to Dan in activities. He is always ready to help with a smile on his face. We have problems with our cell phones, our computers and our TVs and we can always count on Dan to help us. Kudos also to Donna in activities. She takes care of all our mental needs with daily exercises and word games. Kudos to May. She makes sure we have a great meal and does it with a great smile. There are too many associates to send kudos to. I feel we are so lucky with the people seeing to our needs.

I would like to acknowledge two persons in particular at Anchor Bay who had gone above the call of duty. First, a shout-out to Laurie Spicuzza. I had downloaded pictures of my garden and posted them on Life Loop. Laurie created a beautiful collage of the pics and gave it to my mom. She was so thrilled to receive this! Second shout-out: On a recent Sunday, I had scheduled a FaceTime with my mom. We were having difficulty connecting. Realizing I dont have FaceTime on my phone, the attendant, (I believe his name was Dan) suggested Zoom, which I do have. He gave me the password and we connected. He stayed by my mom the whole time making sure she could hear everything that was being said. He was such a great help! Thanks to all at Anchor Bay for being so kind and patient with my mom and giving her such great care!

My mother and I chose Brookdale. It had a welcoming atmosphere when we first walked in, it's very open, and it's very bright. The outside grounds are well-kept, handicap accessible, and mother walks around in the morning. The personnel were very accommodating. My mother enjoys the food, and they're very open to suggestions. My mother enjoys the various activities. Her room is very bright, cheerful, not too big, and the bathroom is handicap accessible. She's happy there, and I'm very pleased.

Pocasset Bay Johnston is a very good place. The food is not excellent, but it's good. Everyone has been very attentive. It's a very nice place, and everything is very clean. The staff is good. They have a small library and a TV room and activities, like day trips.
