My mother moved into independent living at CM about a month ago after a year long search for a facility. CM Leaders Heights is nothing short of amazing, from the administration to the staff that care for the residents. They offer 4-6 events to participate in each and every day and my mother says the food ,snacks, housekeeping and various facilities are all good. If you are considering a new home for a loved one, go visit and see for yourself that CM Leaders Heights is a first class operation that truly cares about your special person. We could not be more pleased.

We were living in a community of 500 homes with all the amenities of a Resort. We were not sure that Country Meadows could satisfy us. In searching out several retirement communities we decided to pick Country Meadows. They not only met all our needs but exceeded our expectations. We are so happy here and we are sure you will be too. The Staff here is caring and very concerned about your health and happiness here. Tons of smiles and greetings here as the staff makes an effort to address you by name. Your needs are attended to immediately as if you were the only resident here. We love this place -= the accommodations, the staff, the food and everything about Country Meadows. Come and visit us and we are sure you will agree with us. Jim and Shirley

My Dad recently moved to Country Meadows. After an exhaustive search for assisted living with memory care, Country Meadows stands alone. The facility is not at all like most assisted living facilities, it is beautiful. The staff is unbelievably kind, compassionate and experienced. My Dad is very happy and content. Thanks to all of the staff for what they do everyday!

I appreciate the many activities and programs offered, as well as entertainment. The other residents are great, and the staff is great! I love living here!

My cousin Ruth was diagnosed with dementia and was no longer able to live alone. After a long unsuccessful search for a suitable facility a friend told me about her parent's excellent experience at Country Meadows in Leader Heights. I made an appointment to have a tour with Angele McCullough. I left there for the first time feeling hopeful. To get a better understanding of the workings, I returned 3 times with my husband, my sister and finally with my cousin. We were all taken by the beautiful physical facility, the genuine attentiveness and kindness of the entire staff and especially the contentment of the residents. I placed Ruth on the waiting list and within weeks she moved into a lovely personal care apartment with additional care through the Connections Club. When it soon became clear to the watchful staff that she needed more support they gradually introduced her to the Memory Community. Angele and other staff made the right call in this move! Now while the staff lovingly cares for Ruth they also always take the time to answer my questions and share details about her daily life. While I marvel at this effort it is standard care at Country Meadows! I visit often and watch the staff from all living levels throughout the building. The ratio of staff to resident allows a level of attention I never thought possible. Regarding all staff including administration, care takers, food service, medical personnel, housekeeping, maintenance, front deck personnel and others, these are caring and loving people who have genuine personal relationships with the residents. The kindnesses I've regularly witnessed are not only offered from staff to resident but also from one resident to another. The sense of a community looking out for one another is evident. Daily life at Country Meadows is well planned and implemented smoothly. The food is exceptional with choices at every meal. The around-the-clock activities on all levels are varied, stimulating and fun. There are ongoing opportunities for exercise and one's spiritual needs. The daily social events provide for connection and friendships. The many furnished areas throughout the building offer extended living space for residents and their visitors. And visitors are welcomed and invited to join their loved ones in events. The facility itself is beautifully cared for. I am most grateful that Ruth experiences an enriched quality of life at Country Meadows and I would recommend this community to anyone looking for a safe and openhearted home for themselves or for a loved one.

Back in 2020, my Mother's husband passed away and we decided as a family it was time to bring her from Texas to be closer to her children and grandchildren. I had heard great things about Country Meadows. I did some research and requested a tour and a consultation with Garrett Kistler, whose family are devoted staff there at Country Meadows. Garrett answered all my questions, introduced me to other staff there... showed me around a room in mind for Mom. Initially, I was a little concerned as Mom was leaving friends and a home she loved. However, after several months, she made lots of new friends, started to join the social activities there and there is something for everyone !! Everyone there is so incredibly kind and generous with their time. My Mother absolutely loves her place there and once more, began laughing and smiling and is one busy lady. I am very grateful for the attentive care and affection my Mother has responded so positively to ! I cannot recommend Country Meadows Retirement Community enough. What an absolute pleasure and blessing it has been to see her thrive.

In searching for a York retirement community for my parents, the presence of daily medical staff and the feeling of a safe environment were very important to me. As they age, also having multiple levels of care available for them was something I knew would be needed. Country Meadows in South York fit all the criteria. We made the right choice. Mark Sadock

Our family has really enjoyed our Country Meadows - Leader Heights experience throughout our first year! Dad has certainly made a lot of new friends and re-connected with some long-time acquaintances. We all like that he has been able to take part in many of the community's activities, including church, Bingo, movies, and in-person entertainment. Family members have 'peace of mind' knowing that dad is getting a couple of appropriate meals daily, is surrounded by caregivers should the need arise, and that he is valuing his social life and the people with which he comes in contact each day - both staff and fellow residents. We've appreciated that Country Meadows has made visitation easy and gives us confidence that dad is in a safe and welcoming place in between visits. We trust that our comfortable, pleasant experience will continue!

Country Meadows' principles of Compassion, Service, Respect, Integrity, Education, and Quality have truly been demonstrated during every interaction with every staff person and every member of our family - from the first informational phone call and facility tours to the hanging of pictures in the living room. We expected outstanding customer service from Garrett (Director of Marketing) and weren't too surprised to receive the same from the Mary Ann (Director of Independent Resident Services). However, when Kerry from maintenance and Peggy from housekeeping were equally welcoming and kind, we thought that this could be the right choice. When we learned that the apartment size was the same AND the cat would be welcomed in both independent living and personal care, we were fairly certain. Then during a tour, Dad began whistling and Mom started talking about decorating, we knew that this was THE place. Our first tour was September 11th and the stars aligned so that our parents moved into their new home a month later. If you're hesitating about joining the Country Meadows community and details of our experience could help, Garrett will help connect us.

My father has been at County Meadows now for several years. I can't say enough good things about the staff that addresses his needs on a daily bases. They are so caring and focused on his health and well being!

My name is Condoda Smith-Boyle and I have been a Nurse Practitioner in the York community for 32 years. I have had numerous family members reside at the Leader Heights Country Meadows in different areas. I recently had the experience of meeting and working with Garrett Kistler the Director of Marketing. I was extremely impressed by his manner of handling issues that arose when trying to get my mother-in-law into an independent living apartment. He was kind to everyone he passed in the hallways including staff and residents. He certainly is well suited for his job and doing a remarkable job! Country Meadows should be proud to have him on their team! Angel also met with my mother-in-law on a day Garrett was off and was just delightful. The entire facility was just so professional and clean. It just had a joyous feeling. I find this to be a rarity these days!

I am in and out of facilities all day long, visiting residents and also care professionals. The staff here are very devoted to providing the best and most exceptional care possible. Their communication with our teams and with families and residents has been wonderful. The facility is immaculate, and has a real air of sophistication. You automatically feel welcome, not just because of the environment, but because of the staff members here. This facility is always winning awards for the care it provides, and the overall upkeep of the property. You should definitely check them out, and speak with the staff. You'll find it is an exceptional home for those you love.
June 2023
My wife was asked to leave their memory unit after three months. She was too much for Country Meadows to handle. But, rest assured, they will keep the $2000 they charge you to move in!
June 2023
I can't say enough good things about Country Meadows! My mom has been a resident for the past two months and it has been the best experience for her. The facility is clean and welcoming and there are an abundance of activities, but the best attribute is the staff. Starting with admissions and continuing to the medical, personal care, activities, physical therapy, dining, maintenance and all other staff positions, I have encountered nothing by warmth, kindness and professionalism. There is a true sense of caring displayed by everyone on staff - they truly love what they're doing and care about the residents. I couldn't ask for a better place for my mom to live!
May 2023
My dad was in a different facility about five years ago and we liked where he lived but the Country Meadows experience has been head and shoulders above that facility. Mom feels at home and loves the staff, food, activities and other residents. They work hard to build community among the residents. There is a lot of staff who are attentive to the needs of my mom. They are wonderful!
April 2023
The aids and nurses are the heart of CM and worth their weight in gold which I would gladly give them. They give my dad an audience when he needs it and tolerate my spontaneous grandpa-napping when I whisk him away for dinner and bring him back late . They wait for him like a parent would their teenage son. I always feel they treat him and myself like family and considering he lives so far from anyone but me it gives me solace to know he is as happy as he can be .
December 2022
My father is doing well here. All his basic needs are met and the staff is friendly and attentive. My only suggestion is they need more events, outings and activities. (But that may be a tall order due to covid)
November 2022
Country Meadows has been a wonderful place for my mother at this stage in her life. I feel safe knowing she's cared for by people who show a genuine interest in her wellbeing.
August 2022
Moved my in-laws in Jan 2018 with all kinds of promises by Marketing. Move in day was disastrous on Sat. Long story short... they lived there for over 3 years @ from 7 -$9K per month. On my FIL 92nd birthday on March 12 2021, after his wife passed away the previous May, they told me he had to go to another facility. He passed away 3 weeks later at Misercordia where he had compassion & empathy. Be wary of all their promises... its all about the almighty $$
April 2022
I have been a resident at Country Meadows of Leader Heights for three years and have found it to be exceptional. The organization does everything it can to keep residents safe AND happy. Staff members are outstanding and will do everything they can to accommodate resident concerns and wishes. The community is lovely, the dining staff is very responsive to resident preferences and the entire staff is really approachable, accessible and friendly. There is really a "yes we can" philosophy here, which in my opinion, makes it the place to be for senior LIVING.
February 2022
My father in law has had a great experience thus far. Staff and management really seem to genuinely care and have compassion for the residents. This was a very difficult decision for my husband but he now feels relief knowing his father is taken care of and happy.
January 2022
My mother has been at Country Meadows for 14 days, She has already made so many new friends, played bingo, cards, watched a movie with friends, exercised, attended art class and enjoyed the yummy desserts. She is already more mobile and healthier. The staff is tremendously supportive and attentive. So grateful!
May 2021
My mom moved to Country Meadows in November 2020 (We literally had to force her to go on a tour). She was 100% against the idea of moving, but after the tour, she admitted that Country Meadows was nicer than she expected. She agreed to try it out with the promise that she could move home if she was unhappy. We moved her in, set up her apartment with her favorite things, and left her to test the waters. She has never looked back. The staff at Country Meadows could not be more attentive and pleasant. We are thrilled with her care. She has made so many friends and loves the activities offered. I often invite her to my house and she declines because she "has things she'd like to do." I highly recommend Country Meadows to anyone looking for a happy, safe environment for their family member.
April 2021
Country Meadows provided excellent care to my father in the memory unit. I never had to worry about his care and he was very happy.
March 2021
I was extremely impressed with the entire staff and how easy they made the typically stressful process of moving my father into their facility. Garrett and crew did everything possible to make my dad feel at home from day one. From helping me move the furniture and items in, to hanging his favorite paintings on the wall, to programming his remote for the TV. Garrett and staff did it all. They assigned my dad a companion and she was very willing to help my dad find the activities, the gym, or just go for a walk. This level of customer service stayed throughout my dad's stay. Thank you Country Meadows of South York. You guys really made a difference. I highly recommend this plac

Our 89 year-old mother suffered a hip fracture. She was not physically ready to return to independent living after just a couple weeks in a rehab hospital. She enrolled in the Country Meadows Progressions Program, a 30-day minimum/60-day maximum program aimed at transitioning back to one's own home. It was a great solution, and surprisingly affordable ($150/day inclusive as of Dec 2020). The staff was communicative (important as due to COVID we could not visit in person). The time or two there was a minor hiccup in her care, they were responsive. Nobody's perfect, but how you respond is important, and they made no excuses. Our mother was satisfied with her stay there, especially the meals and snacks. She's not the social butterfly type, so she didn't take advantage of all the activities, but there was a lot on offer despite the challenges of COVID. Most importantly, with the benefit of the on-site therapists, Mom was able to return to her home successfully after just the minimum 30-day stay. I'd like to thank Garrett Kistler, and Nadine from the nursing staff. In these unusual times when we can't visit our family members, we were confident our mother was in good hands. Real review from a family in nearby Spry, PA, in case there were any doubts!
September 2020
I have experienced living in 3 different levels of assistance.... Pathways where the most help was needed, Personal Care with minimum assistance, and Independent Living . The management in each level were very accessible and quickly found solutions to any problem I had.. The direct care staff always came and helped when called on my call bell. The maintenance department addressed any concern, no matter how small. Therapy department was very well organized and creative in helping me improve my ability to get around. The pastor always greeted me and was available to listen if I needed to speak with someone. . The meals were very healthy and tastefully prepared. I didn't need to use the medical staff very often but they would always answer any question I had. Activitiy department was very creative and willing to take me on outings with my wheel chair. They have lots of activities to make it fun to exercise my mind or my muscles. Even the cleaning crew kept my room and the facility very clean. It has been a very pleasant experience for me and I would recommend it to anyone needing a home away from home.

Country Meadows Leader Heights is a First Class Retirement Community that care about their residents and they go out of their way to help you in anyway you need help. Excellent food and plenty of activities to make your day fulfilling. Employees are very personable and pleasant to everyone I always feel welcome there. My mom calls it home and I could not be happier for her and glad she is in a safe and caring environment. Thank you so much! Jerry

Garrett's passion for serving the elderly is amazing; he made the transition for my grandmother quick and easy. He even went out of his way to physically help us move her in and always remained poised and positive.

The campus is beautiful! Everyone is so friendly and caring, you can tell the staff loves what they do. Also, the food is excellent!

Country Meadows Leader Heights York, PA What a joy to have found an incredible assisted living facility for my parents. Two years ago, my dad was struggling with his health and it was time to move both of my folks from their condo where they had settled for the last 18 years. It was a tough sell... as no one wants to leave their home. But then, we discovered Country Meadows, a "home" that helps in ways we could not imagine. My parents were able to bring their furniture and treasures and create a new home with loving staff support. Their needs were assessed and met in gracious ways. It took months for them to throw out the moving boxes but they finally settled in and realized that at this time in their lives, they could truly benefit from care and help. The staff at Country Meadows has been amazing. When I visit, I see experienced staff who go the extra mile to serve and make sure my parents' needs are met. Chaplain Leon is amazing in caring for the spiritual needs of each resident. My Dad has now passed away and my Mom has been well supported. Country Meadows is a true community. Activities are offered for anyone who wants to take part... music, outings, drama presentations, Bible studies, devotions... My mother joins a group of friends after dinner for games and conversation. She is a part of a true community. My brother and I (who both live out of state) have peace of mind, knowing she is connected and thriving. We are grateful for Country Meadows....

Country Meadows / Leader Heights is a beautiful campus. From the moment I drove up, I could tell that something special is going on there, and it wasn't by accident. The physical grounds are immaculate, well attended and maintained. You can tell there is a sense of pride about the place. As you step through the front door, the view is breathtaking and the Receptionist manning the front desk is professional, yet warm and accommodating all at once! That seems to be the norm for all the associates, starting with the director right on down to the housekeepers. Everyone is professional, friendly, full of smiles and accommodating. That is a culture of hospitality and family that begins at the top, and shows that everyone is proud to work here and deliver exceptional service. I did not pass one soul who did not speak to me first. I have been in every nook and cranny as a visitor and a volunteer, and I am blown away by how dedicated everyone is to the guests / residents. Every request is handled with a smile and I have seen everyone go out of their way and bend over backwards to make each guest's journey enjoyable and personalized. No matter where each individual is on their particular journey, you can be sure that it is the focus of all who work there, as they care for and embrace each and every resident as if they were family! Inviting, peaceful, warm and fuzzy, restorative, safe and secure...are just a few words that describe this community. I love it here!

Country Meadows at Leader Heights has beautiful buildings and grounds, but what makes it a top notch senior community is the staff. From the receptionist, to the housekeeping and maintenance staff, Personal Care Associates, Nursing and Med Techs, Dining Associates, Community Life Associates and Management....every person I encounter within the community does their work out of compassion, care and love for the residents and it can be a very tough job some days! My mother has been a resident there for over 6 years now and her health has been very stable with the constant oversight they give, which gives me piece of mind. The community offers creative and fun activities to explore all different aspects of life for its residents and is welcoming to the resident's pets which was very important in my mom's life. It takes a special kind of person to do this work and do it well. Country Meadows Leader Heights does it well!
March 2019
I love the staff , everyone is friendly and welcoming. Management staff is amazing and there when you need them. A beautiful community committed to taking care of your loved one's total wellness.
