There are no perfect institutions, least of all skilled nursing or inpatient rehabilitation. But I'd choose Friendship Village again (while not ever wanting a reason to return!) The aides and nursing staff are hardworking , skilled, compassionate. Food is varied and tasty, and the PT & OT staff are excellent. Mandy, the Administrative Assistant, went above and beyond to help with my transition to home. A good place to work on recovery from my broken ankle.

Grateful that Friendship Village had a readily available bed/private for me early January. I suffered a complex ankle fracture and have been here just shy of a month. I have had wonderful encounters with every member of nursing, physical/OT therapy, admissions and social work. Nursing aids worked tirelessly and offered generous assistance. The team has worked cooperatively to assist my healing, provide skilled nursing and help me to get a leg up, literally. The front desk staff offered wonderful support on a daily basis, always with a smile. Activities team was always warm and inviting! I have friends who reside in independent living and it was a great luxury to have them visit so easily. The in-house hair salon made it so easy to maintain a feminine look! All volunteers that I encountered were delightful and so willing to help. The team seeks to make improvements wherever possible. Security was available and secured the location. Transportation arrange for a wheel chair van for my first post op visit during the snowstorm!Thank you Friendship Village

A family member is currently a resident in the Health Center (skilled nursing), after needing more care following 7 years as a resident in their independent living community. We are continuously impressed by the caring staff, management, and high-quality facilities. Nothing is perfect in life of course, but we feel blessed to have mom in such a good place. THANK YOU to all the front line staff that work incredibly hard every day (often times in challenging circumstances) to care for our loved ones!

My mom has been in the Health Center off and on for about 5 months and she would stay there forever if possible! The care team is so great to her, they feel like family and everyone from administration to all other staff has made sure she is well taken care of.

I visited my 90 yr old aunt yesterday, she is in your facility for rehab purposes and is doing well. The person I would like to commend is Rosyln, the woman who changed out the would bandages on my aunt. She is wonderful, very conscientious about her job and so caring. She is a keeper. My aunt wants only Roslyn to do any wound adjustments, thank you Roslyn.

We recently moved from our home to Friendship Village. Moving is never easy, but we knew that it was the right time for us. We chose to make a decision on our terms so that we would receive additional supports when we need it. We hope to make that transition easier for us and for our children. Every apartment has a balcony and the grounds are beautiful. There is something fun to do any day, if you want to. The food is delicious and that staff are very caring. Moving to Friendship Village was the best match for us now and for the future.

I have lived in Friendship Village for almost 20 years and the best piece of advice I can give you is DON'T WAIT TOO LONG! There are so many activities for both your body and your mind to enjoy and benefit from. I feel as young now as when I moved in. This has been the most wonderful 20 years of my life.

Friendship Village is names correctly. It is friendly and welcoming. The weekly entertainment, speakers and programs are educational and fun. There is always something to do or if you prefer to read a book you can sit by our large fireplace.

Friendship Village is a lovely place to call home. Looking for a continuum of care so you can age in place??? The staff are attentive to residents and families needs. The community is beautiful with a recent renovation. The grounds are well maintained and allow for a quiet walk. The location gives you easy access to highways and local shopping and entertainment. I can't say enough about the staff and set up at Friendship Village. They have a beautiful set of buildings with a very comfortable feel and friendly staff to help residents with whatever they need. Had a great experience with my mother at friendship villages for a second time in the skilled facility. The staff is very hard working and caring and my mother was very happy there. It was nice to be able to sleep well at night knowing she was in good hands.

I must say the last 1 1/2 year my father lived there with cancer, they deserve a10 star. I must thank Trina, Security, and one housekeeper , which I forget her name, who watch over my father. They understood me, I was a mother hen to my father, if I had, maybe 2 or 3 minor issues, of course I raised them to Friendship as a major concern, they always accepted the good, bad, and ugly from me. I can't say anything about Bryan , for personal reasons. They rest all 10 stars!!!!! I do not care for their Health Ctr, for my father sat naked with a blanket over him for 45 mins. I believe they do not schedule enough employees thru the day, and night. They have enough, but always short staffed, do not call enough in to work I would give that area a 2., the Health Center.

One of my parents is currently going through rehabilitation in the medical facility at Friendship Village. We have been very happy with the care that they are receiving. The staff are very friendly and empathethic. They address our concerns in a timely manner. Amy and Dan in PT are friendly and motivating and Jay in maintenance took extra time to install a new TV for my Mom when she was having issues with hers. We are very thankful to all of the staff and we would highly recommend FV. Its been a great experience.

Friendship Village is an awesome community. The residents that live here care more about your well being then their own. They go far and beyond to let you know how appreciative they are to have you. When you having a bad day they make your day better with comforting words and I appreciate the residents for that. Over all this community is one big family!!!

My mother was moved to Friendship Village rehab last week to recover from a week at St Clair with an infected leg. She is in a wheelchair due to other orthopedic issues, but is able to live independently in a senior complex in Mt Lebanon. She was put in a room with someone with dementia which seems to be the majority of the rehab patients there. My mother does not have dementia, for 86 she is still very sharp and is very good at taking care of herself, she just needed some therapy to get her strength back. She is getting no rest or sleep to recover as there is always screaming or yelling from either a patient or nurse. She has a wound on her leg that needs to be dressed and the nurses argue over who is going to do it - thus the wound has gotten worse. The therapist is not engaged. The food is always cold and is pretty awful. The nurses have all been very nice but ineffective. Mom is clamoring to get out of there to go home to recover with a visiting nurse and some peace and quiet. Please reconsider sending a loved one to this place.

Absolutely Wonderful. My family member was treated with so much respect and kindness. She spent 10 days in the Health Center for rehab from an injury. From the liaison to the discharge planner, we were treated with compassion and patience. The nursing staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. The therapy staff were top notch, motivating my loved one to do the needed exercises. I can’t say enough about how grateful I am for Friendship Village.

This month my parents are celebrating their five year anniversary of moving into their apartment at Friendship Village. It has been a great decision for them and a great peace of mind for my sister and I. The facilities and staff are wonderful, they've made good friends, they take advantage of the many activities offered (yoga, coffee groups, speakers, ping pong, woodshop, etc) and were kept safe and healthy over the past year of the pandemic. We're very grateful that they found Friendship Village five years ago.

We moved my parents into a 2 BR apartment in the new assisted living building in Friendship Village 2 months ago. For two 93-year olds this could have been traumatic since they were close to their caregivers at their former facility; however, the staff at FV had been just wonderful and my parents are very happy. The staff handled their Covid-19 initial quarantine period very carefully, which I appreciated. I have had several calls from different staff members giving me updates on my parents and offering suggestions to help them settle in. When I have had a question or concern I have always reached someone at nursing promptly and had a call back with answers, if necessary. My parents say the food is delicious and they love walking down to the covered porch that overlooks a beautiful courtyard. I highly recommend Friendship Village's new assisted living facility!

The quality of care at the Friendship Village Health Center is exceptional. The aides, nurses, therapists and social workers are attentive, helpful and professional. We had experience with other facilities, and none comes close to the level of care at Friendship Village.

I recently toured the facility as I'm starting to plan for my future. The amenities very excellent and it was very clean. The staff was very friendly and the Health Center was very "home like" unlike other nursing homes in the area. I had the opportunity to meet the Social Worker who was very caring and knowledgeable.

My father has been at Friendship Village for over 15 years. Until recently all his time was spent in independent living. Coming to live at Friendship Village has turned out to be a wonderful decision. He is always remarking that everyone is so nice. He is now in the health center and still comments to his family how nice everyone is to him. His family appreciates that everyone is so nice and that he is safe and well cared for, especially now that he is in the health center. I highly recommend Friendship Village.

Their experience, and ours, has been one of consistent professionalism by the administration, and compassion and patience by the staff. The food is great and always tailored to their needs, their attention to my blind father's diabetes regimen has been flawless, and the team knows how to meet their needs at ever level. Activities are always available, even if my parents sometimes choose to forego them. Highly recommended.
