Huge shout out to Anna Noor who took great care of my Aunt , she’s going to do really well in the future with this job! She’s young and has a bright future
May 2026
My mother was thinking of going to the independent living. She did though break her hip and wanted to go to the rehab there at Paul's Run. The therapy department was wonderful. Sue, Andrew and all were professional and worked with my mom 5 days a week. Never had any issues with PT/OT/SP. The problem was the 3-11 staff in the rehab department. The day shift, Lucy, Amber, Stacy were wonderful. But again, the next shift and the night shift were not as good. My mom would call for a pain pill or for something. They came in several times, shut off the call bell and walked out. They left her in the dining room or in the hallway. She did not need to be in the hallway as she is not confused. She would ask to go back to her room and they ignored her. They would walk by the room, and she would call out as they turn off the light and ignore her. One night my mom called me hysterical crying. An Aide came in and my mom asked to be taken to the bathroom and changed. The girl says NOW???????????? She was rude, threw my mom's pants in the closet on the floor. Now there were several hangers in there and she could have had a little respect and hung them up. She yelled at my mom. Now my mom is very hard of hearing but there is a difference between talking loudly than being angry and yelling. She felt that she was being singled out and did not want me to say anything there as she was afraid of retaliation from the aides. Sometimes the food was good. Other times it was terrible. The shrimp and chicken had so much breading and no flavor. Many times, my mom would say take it back and give her something else. One day the lady was shredding her chicken as it was so tough. My mom told her 3 times she did not want it. The meatballs were as hard as a rock. Many times, she would ask for ice cream and never got it. She was frustrated and I can understand why. Just the littlest things make a patient happy. A smile also goes a long way and just listening. Not sure if my mom now wants to go to the independent living. She has returned home and getting therapy, though Paul's Run forgot to send in the referral. The Home health agency had to call to get it the next day. OHH, One more thing. My mom had an orthopedic post op appointment. I went to the Dr's office and was told Paul's Run cancelled her appointment. They did not even tell my mom because transportation never showed up. I called my mom who had a fit. I also demanded to know who cancelled this post op appointment. I found one of the social workers who went to the desk and asked who cancelled it. The girl at the desk said, I did because transportation did not show up so she just figured she would cancel it. She thought they would not see her if she was late. Could she not have told the Dr's office, she will be a few minutes late waiting for the transportation department? I had told the nurse, aide, pt staff and dietary about this appointment that was at 8:45. They woke her up at 6am. Some even woke her up at 4:30 to change her diaper. 4:30 in the morning? Really? But back to this appointment, after a few calls from myself and my brother, and being extremely upset over this, transportation came and the Dr's office agreed to see her otherwise it would have been a few weeks later. Thank you for letting me voice my concerns and complaints

Just moved my mom to Paul’s Run. This was a huge transition for my fiercely independent mother. My mom mentioned Paul’s Run having been there years ago and knowing a couple residents there. Sent an email inquiry on a Sunday night and Kim B responded immediately. Over the next few days we toured the facility, had lunch and picked an apartment. Less than 2 weeks later mom is moved in and has a completely renovated charming one bedroom apartment. Every staff member we’ve met has been helpful and caring, from administration, maintenance and food service. Special thanks to Kim B who is a superstar. Also met several residents who were welcoming and positive about living at Paul’s Run. This was the only facility we looked at for mom and it’s a great choice.

Excellent retirement community. Many activities for the residents to enjoy. Safe environment. Would definitely recommend to anyone considering a retirement community
June 2025
I was an escort to a resident who came to visit a friend in long term care. The place is beautiful except the long term care unit it much to be desired. I was very confused on who worked there because everyone wears what they want no consistent uniform was worn or badges. I was their for 2 hours and no activities were done those residents sat in front the of the Television the whole time. The med cart trash dispenser was filthy and everything was outdated including equipment used. I didn’t sign in I was a guest because the residents personal assistant signed us in. It was very sad!

The first time I walked into Pauls Run I felt like I was walking into a Pocono resort. The lobby is beautiful and so well-maintained. The staff is super friendly and the residents welcomed me like a member of the family. I love the social activities especially the music programs Paul’s Run offers a variety of daily activities to meet the needs of all the residents. The gift shop is always decorated with seasonal decor that brightens up your day as you walk past the window display.

This is a gem. The staff is very caring and protective of their residents. You can't find better care at all levels. My parents flourished there.
January 2025
What an amazing facility ! Had both parents there for several months through a combination of rehab, personal care and hospice care. I honestly cannot say enough nice things about Paul's Run. They really do cater to the residents, and took the time to not only know my parents but to know me. From the administrative and maintenance staff, to the nurses, aides and physical therapists, Paul's Run is a welcoming and caring facility which provides a unique experience that encourages and makes arrangement for as near a normal life as possible for you and your loved one(s). I am eternally grateful to the folks at Paul's Run for providing top-quality care for my parents, and although the cost was higher than some other facilities, it was definitely well-worth every damn penny.

Paul's Run is top notch! My mother moved in over a year ago and my family could not be happier. Most importantly, my mother loves living there and enjoys all the amenities. The care and attention provided by the staff to the residents is incredible. The facility is immaculate, the apartments are so modern and the wide array of social activities provide the residents with so many options. A special shout-out to both Rebecca Michaels and Meghan McGillian who are incredibly hands on, always available and provide their full attention to all the residents AND their families.
June 2024
Overall, Paul's Run is a good place for seniors. The staff are friendly and caring, and the facility is clean and well-maintained. My mom moved in there 9 months ago and has adjusted well. There are a lot of activities offered, which is great for keeping her engaged. Nice property! Just a heads-up to ask about potential rare increases during your tour. We did, and it helped us plan accordingly. Overall, I would recommend Paul's Run to others looking for senior living options. The good aspects far outweigh a few shortcomings,
June 2024
An absolutely wonderful, caring & compassionate place for elder care.
June 2024
My Mother-in-law moved to Paul’s Run in November. The facility is well kept and all the people that work there are quite nice. They try very hard to do their best for the residents.
June 2024
A wonderful retirement community. The grounds and facility are impeccably maintained. There are various activities to keep residents busy and engaged. The dining room is inviting and the food is of high quality. The in-house medical team is very caring. The staff are very attentive to their duties and have an excellent rapport with residents. So happy we found this place for our Mom!
June 2024
It's never easy making the transition, but the staff of Paul's Run made it easier. They are quick to respond and helpful. I can't say enough about the food- my dad is very happy with the quality and the selections. I can't say enough about the maintenance staff- they are patient and kind. And the wellness team is the best- Kim as their leader has no equal. The music therapy program is a plus- I'm a creative arts therapist myself so the only activities missing are dance/ movement therapy and a licensed art therapist, but Matt is great for exercise. I'm an only child, but my dad and I are so incredibly supported, I feel like I'm not alone. Basically they don't just take care of my dad. They take care of me as well.
June 2024
The friendliest and most accommodating staff! Very happy with the attentiveness my mother receives. I highly recommend Paul’s Run.
June 2024
Our family has been delighted with the care and service at Paul’s Run. Staff members are very kind and caring. Our experiences in both Personal Care and Independent Living have been great. Residents look happy and they have many options for activities in this beautiful community.

Every staff member at Paul’s Run is helpful, friendly and eager to help. Paul’s run is immaculate and dining services are wonderful! The availability of medical care is an added bonus for residents in independent living. The amount of activities is top knotch!!! Any issue is addressed immediately. Kudos to everyone at Paul’s Run.
May 2023
My mother is law was a resident at Paul’s Run the last few months until she passed on May 21st. Our family was very pleased with all of the care she received, the staff were all kind and went above and beyond as much as possible. It was a difficult transition for Mom, moving from living independently to live in a PC apartment there but the staff did their best to make it as pleasant as possible for her. Just wanted to say thank you to all’•
May 2023
My mother was there for 3 weeks for rehab after a fall and it was mostly good. They run a pretty tight ship. The CNAs were great. The food not so good. The therapists were mostly good. My biggest concern was lack of communication. Several phone calls to CM and PT were not returned.
May 2023
My mother is an active 91-year-old but, after her husband passed in 2019, living alone and maintaining her property was too much for her. We shopped around and visited several CCRCs, but Paul's Run came out on top of the list with each comparison. She has now been in an independent living apartment at Paul's Run since 2021 and loves it! Staff has been very helpful, from the application process to facilitating moving day to addressing day-to-day issues. My mother is enjoying the activities, entertainment, and especially the food 😀 With my frequent visits to her, I have noticed how well-maintained and clean the facility is, how friendly all staff are, and the residents appear very active and happy as well.
February 2023
Paul's Run offers ample opportunities for exercise such as chair aerobics and my personal favorite chair yoga. Residents are very friendly. Meals are good. Servers are efficient and courteous.
February 2023
My 93 year old mom fell and broke her arm. She went to a rehab facility and we needed to find a managed care facility on very short notice when she was being discharged. Rebecca at Paul's Run was super helpful in assisting us with the transition for mom. My mom has been at Paul's Run, in Personal Care, since last October and she's adjusted much better than my family expected. The food is excellent, she gets 3 meals a day, there are many activities to participate in, there is onsite medical care, a beauty salon, and more. ALL of the staff is very friendly and supportive (special shout out to Satyn - her aide, Wei - day nurse, James - distributor of medicine...sorry if I left anyone else out). My family feels that she is in excellent hands and being very well cared for! An added bonus is that there are many retired nuns on her floor and they are extremely patient, nice and supportive with my mom, who is hard of hearing and Jewish 😉 Definitely two thumbs up for Paul's Run!
February 2023
My family's experience with Paul's Run has been a very positive one. My mother moved there almost a year ago and acclimated easily to her new home. She is grateful for the opportunity to attend Mass and prayer services in the Chapel, and enjoys participating in the many social and cultural activities that are available to the residents. The staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive to my Mom's needs, and the Wellness Team has been very responsive and caring when health concerns have arisen. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. I would definitely recommend Paul's Run to others.
February 2023
We've been very happy with our experience for our family. The staff is very caring and helpful! I have recommended Paul's Run to many people searching for a new home for their loved ones!
January 2023
Beautiful senior living. From the moment we walked in for our tour we felt comfortable and had a good feeling about Paul’s Run. The woman that spoke to us and showed us around was wonderful ( Rebecca). Everything was spotless and smelled good. The rooms were spacious and really nice. When we passed the dining room the food smelled great! I can’t say enough positive things about the atmosphere. My in-laws seem to be taken care of nicely while in the personal care area. We are glad we made the choice of Pauls Run!

October 2022
My parents spent the last year of their life there. They were in decline and cycled though all 3 tiers of care in the year they were there The independent living was good, the assisted living my Mom was in for a little was really excellent, but their final months in hospice in nursing care was not very good, and super, super expensive. It was during COVID which I think definitely had a lot to do with it, but I really wish we had an alternative for hospice, I have a lot of regrets about that. We had Holy Redeemer provide the medical and social supports for hospice and they were just great, but my parents still needed nursing care at Paul's Run, which I don't think is set up for end of life care.

Our dad was reluctant to move from the home he lived in for over 60 years. Once he toured Paul’s Run, he couldn’t wait to move in. He is presently in Independent Living and is really settling in well. He has made friends, loves the food, and has told us he wishes he would have moved sooner. Everyone we have encountered is so helpful and kind. We can now breathe a little easier knowing he is safe and really enjoys his new home.
July 2022
I feel Paul's Run Retirement Community is the best facility in Philadelphia.
July 2022
I have visited my Friend, who lives at Paul’s Run every Thursday for almost two years. She likes Paul’s Run very much. I like it because everyone is so helpful, kind and caring! If a problem arises, they work on it until you are happy! I have no trouble telling people how great I think Paul’s Run is! Keep up the great work! ‘

Paul's Run is absolutely amazing! It was time for me and my brother to look at places for our mother. She lost her husband and could not live by herself any longer. We heard many favorable opinions of Paul's Run and my brother has been inside before due to his job. We also liked the fact that if Mom moved to Paul's Run, she would not be far away from either of us! Linda and Jessica took us for a tour and we were very impressed with the facility and the apartment that would be available for Mom. They next sat down with us and went over the cost, what was included and answered all of questions. We then brought Mom for a tour and she was actually excited to move there and wanted to move the next day! She said this was her new home! She loved the fact that they had a very large dining room, the activities, chapel and beauty salon. She moved in and she loved being on the first floor and had her own patio! The staff is always nice and attended to Mom's needs. Unfortunately, Mom's health took a turn and she no longer was able to be in independent living and needed to be moved to Personal Care. Linda, again helped us with the move and went over all the changes. She move to personal care we were very pleased that she would having a nurse provide her medication and do wellness checks. The nursing staff has been amazing and keeps me updated on any changes in meds and I know I can call them anytime for updates. I would highly recommend Paul's Run to any family that needs to place a loved one in a caring facility. Paul's Run is a top notch retirement facility and you will have some peace of mind that your loved one is being well taken care of!!
May 2022
We began the journey of looking for a place for my mother-in-law to move to in late February. From the moment I initiated contact with the facility, Rebecca Michels was responsive, professional and extremely patient as we had many questions about the process. Upon visiting Paul's Run, we were extremely impressed by the cleanliness and how welcoming the staff and the residents were. My mother-in-law was out of state during the time we were trying to find her new "home" and Rebecca was accommodating as she scheduled the interview, assisted with paperwork and offered continued reassurance. We moved my mother-in-law officially into her new home on April 29th. She is in the Independent Living program and since moving in, the staff have made her feel comfortable and have been accessible. Rebecca as well as the other staff members we have encountered, put us at ease as we made life changing decisions on behalf of my mother-in-law. I encourage anyone who is looking for a place for their parents, to absolutely consider Paul's Run as the next phase of the journey. We are very appreciative they were able to meet my mother-in-law's needs as well as our needs as a family!
May 2022
Heard a lot of great things about Pauls Run which went a long way into how our mom decided to move in. Three months later and everything we heard was absolutely true! Everyone from front office to maintenance are top notch and very friendly. Every problem solved, every accommodation made. Amazing that most of the staff has been there for many years, even decades! Total family vibe from top to bottom! Give Paul’s Run a chance, you won’t be disappointed!
April 2022
Where to begin with how wonderful Paul's Run is along with staff.....First, Paul's Run is affordable and GORGEOUS. Definitely a hidden gem! I looked into many places for my mom. Majority of them were not affordable, weren't nearly as nice and had large buy in's. From the minute of walking in the door to tour the facility, there was a welcome sign welcoming us to Paul's Run. Very nice personal touch and made us feel special. Then you have the lobby that looks like a high class hotel. Very clean and has NO odors at all! All newly remodeled along with a restaurant for the residents. The residents are served restaurant style, have a waiter/waitress and are given menus. They have a menu called "The Anytime Menu." If your loved one isn't interested in one of the 4 entrees offered that evening for dinner, they can essentially order anything they want from pizza to a sandwich to a steak sandwich or burger. This is incredible! Paul's Run is like their own little community with a general store, library, beauty salon and doctors available on premise. They have everything you need right there. Screams convenience. Now onto the staff. I have to say Jennifer and Rebecca in the sales department really had a difficult task with my family. We certainly didn't make the sign up process an easy one. There was a lot of stress and upset involved. These two women handled everything like the professionals they are. Classy, calm, cool and collective. They bent over backwards to help us. I really felt they cared about us and my mom. Anyone can make a sale, but, that's not what this was about for these women. They truly did everything in their power to help my mom and us get her into Paul's Run. Even went out of their way on their days off to accommodate our needs with our working schedules. Definitely people you want on your side! My mom has only been living at Paul's Run now for a little over a week. She never has been a happy person and always found something to complain about. In this past week, I've actually asked myself who is this woman I call mom. She's happy. It's a breathe of fresh air for us. She has done a complete 360. She has her independence and has her own space. She's making friends, raves about the food, service, how kind everyone is to her, the daily activities, carefree and worry free life. Everyone is kind, respectful and courteous. There isn't a price tag for these things. Mom being at Paul's Run has also taken the stress away for the family. She is safe, loved and well looked after. I can't say enough good things about Paul's Run and the staff. Definitely glad we found Paul's Run and Mom is finally happy. Not rushing it, but, looking forward to when the time comes I can too live at Paul's Run.

The Pauls Run team has been very helpful in getting my parents settled into their new apartments. They systematically move from step to step providing resources and comfort to anxious family members. Once my parents moved in, the team continued to make themselves available for the multitude of questions I had during the transition. I am comforted to know my parents are safe and well cared for during this next phase of their lives.
September 2021
My mother moved in about a month ago, and she is doing great. The staff is terrific, from our first meeting with Jennifer, to signing in with Linda, and meeting with Kim, to the front desk and maintenance people the process was seamless. She is meeting new people every day, and most important, feels safe. Moving to Paul’s Run was surely the best choice we could make
September 2021
Paul's Run is a fabulous place to live. From the very first when I toured with my uncle, thru the several months that followed, we were treated with respect and kindness. Rebecca was the best and all the staff were very kind and understanding. Their help with at this difficult time was amazing. I would recommend Paul's Run to anyone looking for senior living for a relative or friend.
September 2021
Paul’s Run has been wonderful to my great aunt and grandmother. They were quickly able to determine their level of care and get them into the facility in a timely manner. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly.
September 2021
The staff at Paul's Run is fabulous. Our aunt and mother recently moved in - one in Independent Living, the other in the skilled nursing section. Both are very happy and well taken care of. From admissions to every day care the staff goes out of their way to take care of their residents. What a comfort!! Thank you to the Staff of Paul's Run.
September 2021
We were introduced to Paul's Run when my aunt needed in-patient rehab after a hospitalization. Though we were unable to see her initially due to Covid restrictions, I could tell by talking to her on the phone that she liked being there. Her meds were taken care of by the nursing staff and her meals were prepared. She was definitely eating better! She enjoyed her interactions with the staff and therapists. When it came time to be discharged, she was hesitant to leave to go home alone to her apartment. So, we made the decision to have her move there permanently. It was the best decision ever! She is now a resident of the personal care community and is enjoying her new apartment. She has enjoyed meeting new people ... both residents and staff as well as enjoying the wonderful amenities offered as a part of living at Paul's Run. I would highly recommend this wonderful community for anyone considering moving there or looking for a safe and caring facility for a loved one!
September 2021
I was so impressed with Paul's run!!!! Rebecca was so helpful in EVERY aspect. They walk you through the whole experience! I did not expect Paul's run to be so nice in all honesty. The food is great. So many activities. They make it easy for my mom and myself! Anything you might need from cleaning to self help is there! Don't hesitate to go visit! It's awesome!!!

I've been very impressed with Paul's Run's handling of the Sars Covid19 epidemic. Absolutely stellar. Our mother is in the Personal Care unit. We've been kept abreast every step of the way. Their responses to our individual emails (I'm sure they received many), especially during the beginning of the pandemic, were cogent, knowledgeable, prompt, and understanding. What more could one ask? Terrific facility.

My mother and mother-in-law are both at Paul's Run and they absolutely love it there! The staff is very welcoming, kind, and caring. I highly recommend Paul's Run.

Our family was facing a crisis in 2016 as my Father had just had a stroke and my Mother could not keep up their house alone. I am an only child and live in California so I was moving round the clock when I got on the ground to solve their medical needs and housing. Finding Paul's Run was a godsend. From the first tour to place my Mother in independent living to eventually moving my Father into skilled nursing, the staff kept me calm and explained each detail. The admissions team in independent living as well as long-term skilled nursing even gave me their personal cell phones to answer any concerns or fears after- hours. The staff is exceptional from executives to nursing. The facility is spotless, safe and welcoming. I am constantly called with any changes in my Father's condition with quarterly phone conferences to update his health plan. Mom passed in October after moving to skilled nursing - the hospice team and full staff was outstanding and the love they showed my Mom in her last days while keeping my Father's emotional needs in mind was exceptional. Paul's Run team allows me able to sleep in California at night knowing Dad is surround by care and concern in Philadelphia. Is it expensive? YES Did we have to sell off all their property YES. We will be facing new steps when the cash and investments are gone but we have already started talking about the Medicaid application process with staff. Please consider Paul's Run for your family.

My father has been a resident at Paul's Run for 1-1/2 years now. He's not the easiest of people to care for, but the staff has been extremely patient and accommodating of his special needs. He's now settled and happy. During our first visit, several of the residents and families of the resident we met during our tour told us that they highly recommended Paul's Run without prompting. After several more visits since my father's move, I can confirm that our first impressions were correct.

We moved my mother in the beginning of March, 2016 and it was the best move we could have made! It took her a couple of weeks to acclimate to her new situation, but she couldn't be happier. There are so many activities to participate in. The staff is amazing!!! They all knew her name in the first few days. I am so happy to know that she is watched over, even though she is in independent living. The one-bedroom apartment is perfect for her. The other residents are all so friendly and welcoming. I give this place a huge thumb's up!!!

It's very quiet considering the large volume of seniors here. I've been living here over 3ys now, I live on the 3rd floor, assessed living. I require a nurse to give me my morning, noon, dinner, and evening medications. They have aids that make my bed daily, empty any trash each shift, A housekeeper cleans my kitchen, bathroom, living room, including dusting, vacuming, each Wed. Laundry personnel pickup my used laundry Thursday morning, and return it back to me Thursday evening. My mail is delivered each afternoon . meals
