During my initial visit, I found the environment to be more reminiscent of a nursing home than a rehabilitation facility, which evoked some challenging professional memories. This led to significant reservations regarding my father's placement. Furthermore, my brother's initial interactions with three staff members were, unfortunately, unsatisfactory and raised concerns. However, following a discussion with Clinical Liaison Trish Power, where I articulated my concerns, Director Jovan (please excuse any misspelling of the name) promptly contacted me that evening to address my feedback. Over the ensuing days, the situation significantly improved, making my visits with my father more pleasant. My brother also reported a reduction in issues, with the exception of one particular nurse. By the fourth week of his stay, leading up to his discharge, it was gratifying to hear my father express, "It wasn't so bad here, but I am certainly ready to return home." The other staffs that helped with his therapy from the doctor to the technician's thank you.. to Jovan thank you for hearing me when it was most important to me.. Also to young woman who speaks out for the patients and their family thank you and to those who kept his room clean thank you..

My husband stayed for rehab after a hospital stay. The facility was beautiful and clean. Everyone was knowledgeable, helpful, patient and kind. The nursing staff at Accela was terrible! The CNAs were okay, but the housekeeping was just average. I was a patient there for two months, and they moved me from one room to another in the middle of my stay. The second room was horrible! I didn’t want to move, but Joseph, the assistant administrator, forced me. He said I was a long-term patient and that I had to move. The only person who was sincere and helpful was the maintenance guy, Giovanni. He was extremely knowledgeable, outgoing, caring, and kind. He made his rounds every day and checked in on me at least once a day. I can honestly say that he became my friend! When I didn’t want to move rooms, he made sure that the new room was ready for me. He gave me a new TV, phone, remote, and made sure I had everything I needed before I moved. Even after he was done, he came to get me and wheeled me in my chair to the new room to see it before he told the administrator that it was ready. He made sure that I was okay. It’s people like Giovanni who make us feel like someone cares when we are in there alone. Thank you, Giovanni. You are one of a kind.

Went yesterday to visit a family member...the place was disgusting...dirty floors, and the smell throughout the place was horrendous, halls smeel like urine and down another hall smelled like feces and urine. The air was so stagnant. I only stayed 10 mins unfortunately because it was making me sick.

I had a great time. The staff is awesome. It’s sad that my dad is there because he needs assistance, but everybody is so helpful and professional. I can’t say enough good things about your staff.

I like coming here. Everyone is always so nice, accommodating. First time for my husband, he so far had no complaints about anything, he definitely would have said if he wasn't happy. I'm hoping the staff is as helpful to my husband as they were when I was a patient!

This has only been my second visit today and this one has been just as blessed, as my first. This time I came during mid week, rather than like last weekend’s visit which happened to be on a Friday the 13th, so it goes without saying what I thought the day would end up like, but on the contrary, despite what I thought I had a wonderful experience and again even more so in today’s visit with my brother, because I can see that he is well cared for by a very kind and caring staff. I truly believe & trust that God will bless this team with strength and power beyond normal, so that they may continue to keep up the good work, in such a challenging field. I came for a visit with my peer person. I came for some business and I visit a few of my friends. The staff was so nice. I had a fall and the staff that came to help me were very nice. The nurse help me get back up. I thank all those that came to help. I told my staff what happen so I person who is in charge said do I need to go get it checked out. I told him. At this point I don't need to go to the er. Staff will watch it for tonight. I thank you all for your concern. Bye and God bless you all.

I was so excited my brother was transferred to the Accela Somerton Nursing Home. All the nurses and staff couldn’t be any kinder and pleasant. They went out of their way to welcome my brother, making him feel at home while helping hands all around to accommodate our family. The rooms are spotless, bright, and cheerful. I rest in peace knowing he gets tender, love, and care by a team of professionals!

I originally was at the Accela in Springfield on Paper Mill which was awful. I came to this place thinking it would be similar. After about a month here I’ve met some of the very good people that work here. Nurse Practitioner Sabrina, Josephine the CNA to name a couple. There are downsides, there are some workers who aren’t particularly friendly, and when/if you get on their bad side, the passive-aggressiveness is unending, but there is supervision here and accountability when needed. Probably the next biggest issue is about the building itself. The walls between rooms are paper thin and it can be hard to sleep at night, especially with late night tv mixed with patients who are hard of hearing. So bring earplugs or maybe comfy headphones.

I don't quite understand why calls are not returned but I must say I am very satisfied with my Family members care. The overall staff is friendly and the CNA staff I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with are great. Overall Accela Somerton is a nice spot.° When I visit I pay attention to maintenance cleanliness and how residents are treated and taken care of. I give them a B grade. Once an advocate, Always an advocate.

Well a certain 2 aides are very rude, would not help a blund person yo the bathroom and another aide was cursing up a storm very unperfessional, if you do not have patience and can"t or won't help tbe patience then you should not be working in a nursing home PERIOD!
