My mother who has dementia is in the Memory Care Unit. Honestly Lynette is the best! The activities she does with the residents are above and beyond. Imagine having water balloon day with dementia patients! That was today. She let them soak her with them! This is just one of the literally hundreds of things she does. Bingo, match games, arts and crafts. They are so lucky to have her. Her patience is amazing. Also a huge shout out to the nurse support staff. Every concern I’ve ever brought up was taken care of. Thank you Grace. Lastly Tammy in housekeeping, you and your team work tirelessly. Ever walk into a home and get hit with a wall of smell. Never, ever. Thank you. I would recommend The Palmerton. We can’t all have our loved ones with us. Thank you for all you do. I feel like I’ve become friends with much of the staff, that says a lot.

Severely understaffed. The website is inaccurate. There is not an RN on staff 24/7. There is significant turnover of staff. My parent was a resident for 3 years.

The Palmerton is a wonderful place for seniors. The staff is 2nd to none. Very attentive and personal. There are personalized activities throughout the day and special events to commemorate holidays, anniversaries, etc. Additionally, the meals are provided with variety and options. The staff was kind, but my husband was having an adverse reaction to Adovan and no one seemed to recognize the symptoms. He was sent to hospital for evaluation but I was the one who brought it to everyone’s attention. I was asked to pay for hourly one on one care on top of our monthly fee. The memory care area is small and confined. I chose to move my husband.

I would definitely recommend the Memory Care unit at The Palmerton! The staff cares about the residents. They work hard to keep them safe and as active as the residents can be.

I am very happy that my brother in law has moved to the memory care unit at The Palmerton. It is small enough so the staff gets to know each resident. And they have a PT room with equipment if needed! They also include all the residents in group activities whether it’s a barbecue, entertainment or church. I am so grateful our family has found the Palmerton!

Such a wonderful place! My grandma has been so happy here. They treat everyone like family and foster a loving, interactive community. There are so many daily activities to keep the residents engaged and families involved. This was by far the best choice, and we are so happy with it!

My father in-law is a resident here and the entire staff cannot be any more friendly and caring to him. They are great to deal with and evolve the family in quite a few community events. Whenever we had any concerns over his care they were there for us . I cannot recommend a better community.

So glad we made the decision to move mom here. The place is clean and welcoming. The staff and residents are very kind and friendly. The food is good and there are activities for mom to participate in every day to keep her busy. We especially appreciate the activities director who always goes above and beyond!

The Palmerton has nice staff that are willing to go above and beyond for the residents. They also are supportive of the family as placing a loved one in a long term facility is a difficult decision. My mother has been living there for just about two years and I just can’t say enough about the kindness and level of care she receives. Clarence Weber is the head of the facility and is so warm and friendly and really goes above and beyond making you feel comfortable and like family. Grace is the head nurse and has been incredible to my mom. She calls us to keep us informed and really genuinely cares about mom. All of the staff, from the therapists to the aides to housekeeping, have been amazing! I feel like this is a hidden gem tucked so beautifully in Palmerton.

I can't say enough about Clearance Weber, Community Relations Director. I called to inquire about my father in law and the process. He took the time to explain how insurance works, Medicare vs. Medicaid and it turns out we would need to look at a skilled nursing facility that would more closely fit his needs. He could have just said it wasn't a good fit but he didn't and provided me a link via email for facilities that would fit our needs in PA...This is not just a reflection on the Palmerton Assisted Living Home but more of a character reflection of him as a human. Thank you is much Clearance, you are a truly wonderful soul.

Picking an assisted for a loved one is a very personal choice and the Palmerton helps make that choice much easier. They provide a very safe, warm and friendly community with beautiful views of Blue Mountain to enjoy. They have excellent onsite rehab for physical, occupational and speech therapy. The staff are very helpful and genuinely care about the residents. If you haven't visited yet, I highly recommend booking a tour today and consider calling the Palmerton home for you or your loved one.

The Palmerton is a great facility. I have seen so many positive outcomes with loved ones here through activities and therapy. They keep the residents engaged in their environment, do outings with the residents such as Shady Maple. The residents and staff make The Palmerton feel like one big family!

What first comes to my mind with thinking of The Palmerton’s staff is that they genuinely care. From the time that I was greeted by Clarence Weber (Director) and staff to present, this has not changed. Clarence was extremely patient with all of the families questions and he did an amazing job along with the staff guiding us through the transition of placing our loved one in memory care. The memory care area is very warm and inviting. The residents are very well cared for. I was especially happy to see staff playing games and engaging some of the residents in the evening. The experience of transitioning our loved one was not easy, but it has been comforting to know that she is being very well taken care of. If the staff has concerns of anything, we are notified. We are confident that we made the right decision.The quality of care and the genuineness of the staff has made this a five star rating. Our family loves The Palmerton.

I can’t say enough great things about The Palmerton! The staff is warm and caring. The Admissions Director is a man of integrity, warmth and depth of knowledge. The Staff Nurse is caring and warm and prioritizes the quality of life and well-being of her dementia patients. The facility has a pleasant atmosphere & feel; it’s clean and well-kept! The location is quiet, peaceful, and safe. There’s nothing easy about placing a parent in assisted living, especially when your loved one has dementia. Further complicating the situation is the fact that I live in Chicago not in PA. After visiting 5 or 6 different facilities in eastern and central PA, we placed mom in The Palmerton’s dementia care unit. The limited number of dementia patients was a huge plus for us. There is no question in our minds that the Palmerton is the best place for mom!

My mother is a resident here at The Palmerton. Mother was only there maybe not even a week, and the staff was hugging her, and telling me how sweet mother was. The hardly knew mom, but you would of thought they knew her for years! I really fought with my emotions on having to place mom in a assisted living facility, but after being there and getting to know staff and see how they go up and beyond for each resident that is there ,I can tell you, I can sleep good at night knowing mom is safe and treated with respect. They always have some type of activity going on for the residents and family.The community enrichment director is ALWAYS putting her whole heart into whatever she is doing , to make it safe and fun for all the residents.To see her interact with the residents on a personal level and to know which activity each resident enjoys is also a plus.Very profecssional. The facility is always clean.5 stars rating in my book!

It's never easy when it's time to put a parent in an assisted living facility. My mother has dementia so she has to be in an area where she can't wander off and get hurt. The Palmerton has such an area. She is well cared for (she is visited every week so we would know if there was an issue), and she and her living space is always very clean. The staff are very caring.

We are pleased with the very friendly staff at the Village. The staff during our visit went out of their way to make our visit very welcoming. All the clients appeared to be very well cared for. I am sure they deserve more stars but our visit was short but lovely.
