Lehigh Commons receives 10 stars! This is a beautiful facility and very clean. The staff is very attentive, accommodating and delivers exceptional service! It is very hard when family has to place their loved one in an assisted facility. You want to make sure they’re taken care of and they’re happy. Lehigh Commons strives to deliver those results! Chris in the Admissions department is wonderful. He is so helpful when working with families and their finances. Carisma, one of the nurses at the facility, is very thorough and compassionate when dealing with your loved one. Gigi, who works in their dining department, is upbeat with a smile shining so bright, that’s it’s contagious to the people living there. Jared, who works in the maintenance department, was so kind to my loved one, as we were not prepared in moving in with everything we needed such as a television and a phone and he came right to our apartment and told us he would give us a television and a phone until we could make arrangements to bring our own Items to the facility! He was so friendly and kind and hooked everything up for us right away! It’s only been a day and a half that my aunt was at this facility. She is so happy, loves all the staff that works there, and her demeanour and outlook on life is so different than what it was before! I want to express my sincere gratitude to all of these people that work in this facility and I can’t thank them enough for making this transition for my Aunt a smooth and positive one. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who is looking to transition to an assisted living residence. I absolutely will be referring clients to this facility in the future. Thank you Lehigh Commons, for everything that you have done for my family

Working with the entire staff at Lehigh Commons has been a wonderful experience. The time and Care they've taken with my parents has been outstanding. My parents have had some little personal issues since moving in getting adjusted, and the staff has been right on top of it every time, making sure they feel right at home. My father has been telling everyone that he now lives on a cruise ship because he goes from his cabin to meals and to an activity or two every day and then before he knows it it's time for the next meal just like on a cruise ship. He is just enjoying the experience so much I wish I could have moved them in sooner!

The staff was friendly but overworked. They could use additional staff to help with patients. My mom was only there for a couple of weeks but died due to an unforeseen issue. She was apprehension at first but began to make friends and participate in the social activities. She loved the staff. I would of preferred more check ins on her in those 2 weeks. But my family and I felt they did a great job in my mom care overall. The director Chris was wonderful to work with and made the transition seamless.

My inlaws just moved into their new apartment after 40+ years at home. He's in good shape for his advanced age but she suffers from advancing dementia. We were looking for an assisted living facility in the Macungie area where they could be together. Luckily, this room became available when we were in town coordinating everything. With assistance from the Care facility staff next door, they are adjusting to their new surroundings. The entire staff at Lehigh have been awesome. A special shout out to the Admissions Director, Christopher. He is extremely efficient at his job. He has assisted my wife from the very beginning and is always a phone call away. He is a valuable asset to this company.

My brother and I faced with the most difficult decision regarding our parents' safety, care and quality of life during COVID-19. Both of them had serious cognitive disorders and weren't safe to live independently in their home. We tried many different tactics including a person caregiver, moving closer, checking on them several times a day but it just wasn't enough. We feared something was going to happen. Thankfully both our parents were in agreement they needed to move and that's when we contacted Kris at Lehigh Commons we felt heard regarding our concerns. Kris quickly, and respectfully provided us with directive assistance. Our parents moved adjusting to their new environment and people. The staff cared for them like family, listened, laughed, and offered them individual care developed and tailored to their unique needs. They ensured my parents spent time together even during the pandemic. They created a new home that offered them quality of life. We are grateful both our parents shared their final journey together, in a warm caring family environment where they received outstanding care and attention. I would highly recommend anyone who is struggling to make a decision regarding their family's safety, independence, and quality of life to contact Lehigh Commons for guidance, care and peace of mind. About 5 months ago I put my parents in here with the help of Chris, they were in very bad shape at their house and they went to the rehab place right next door for a few weeks then moved in here, the difference in how much better they are doing is AMAZING, they look healthy and 100 times better than they were at home, the people here are so nice to them, it really takes a lot of pressure off of me knowing that they are being taken care of so well. Thanks again Chris, you were a lifesaver!!

My husband moved in the Memory Care Unit of Lehigh Commons in March. I have been extremely pleased with the care he is receiving. The staff is exceptional and very accommodating to his needs. The food is excellent and with only 14 residents in the memory care unit the dining room is very easy for residents to socialize. My husband suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease and is basically very contented with his new home.

All the employees are always helpful and pleasant. When contacting them, a return call or email is returned in a timely manner. Our family member enjoys the meals and being part of the community. Having the bus for doctor appointments has been very helpful to help with the mobiity issues. The staff has handled the COVID issues with great care, and have done their best to help the residents through the difficult time of quarantine.

My mother turns 101 years old today and has been a resident of Lehigh Commons for a few years and I continue to be impressed with the compassionate professionalism of all the staff. Unlike other assisted living facilities in the region during this Covid crisis, Tom initiated safety protocols and gracefully enforced them before many other similar facilities and the results speak loudly: Lehigh Commons has had VERY few incidents of Covid among both the residents and staff whereas others in the area have been hotbeds of the Coronavirus. I'd give Lehigh Commons six stars if that were possible. Many thanks to Tom and the entire staff!

We cannot say enough good things about Lehigh Commons in the 2-3 years my nana has been there. All the staff from assisted living to memory care, receptionists, dining , etc are wonderful. We are happy knowing she is well taken care of! They have especially been wonderful throughout this pandemic, from Tom’s daily Zoom calls to keep everyone informed, to staff FaceTiming and helping her call us to keep in touch. Tom and staff have always been one step ahead during this and truly show that the residents are family and care for them that way!

Lehigh Commons is a phenomenal Senior Living community. My father in law was in their Memory Care unit and received excellent care by a compassionate staff. They were very attentive to him and his changing needs and were very communicative with our family. My mother in law is in the assisted living area and receives top notch care from their incredible team. They are friendly, warm and personable. They are also attentive to her health and provide therapies and support as needed. My mother in law also talks about how good the food is : ) The leadership by Tom and his team throughout the Covid pandemic has been nothing short of AWESOME. They have taken every precaution, followed all recommendations and held twice daily Zoom calls with all family members to keep us posted. We have also gotten to virtually meet other members of the team. We very highly recommend Lehigh Commons!

My mother was wonderfully cared for and loved by the staff for three years. She was in the memory unit. The entire staff in every area of work; executive, managers, nursing, aids, volunteers, food service, and maintenance, all did an extraordinary job throughout my mom's stay. Despite my mom's drastically declined physical state, they were able to keep her there until her passing. We did not have to send my mom to skilled care. She was able to pass with dignity in her own room surrounded by the staff and our family. In hindsight, we have learned that he most important aspect of any facility is the people. Lehigh Commons is outstanding in that regard.

My father spent the last year of his life at Lehigh Commons and was treated well including hospice care before he passed away in 2016. The staff was kind and professional. They used to call the library "Henry's office" because he spent so much time there. My mother still lives there. She shared a room with my father for one month before he died. This may end up sounding like a paid advertisement, but it is my heart felt my endorsement of Lehigh Commons Assisted/Senior Living in Macungie, PA. They have taken great care of my wife’s grandmother, Vera, over the past ten months. The staff clearly see their work as more than just a job. They have demonstrated that they genuinely care for Vera by getting to know her personally. I have observed the nursing staff giving residents hugs and kisses on the forehead, showing each resident that they matter and that they are loved. I have seen them compliment the ladies on how nicely they are dressed or how lovely their hair style looks. The staff have also taken time to get to know us, the family, and have been very attentive to our wishes, and desires for grandma’s best care. As we sit by grandma in her final days, and possibly final hours, the Lehigh Common’s staff have been gentle, loving and kind to grandma and to us. We have been blessed by the friendships we have made with the entire staff and residents at Lehigh Commons. As we sit by grandma’s bedside the administrative staff have stopped by to check on us, the nursing staff have been very attentive, as well as the aids and custodial staff. Even the building maintenance man has poked his head in, through the half open door, to see if we are doing okay. As communities should be, the residents are friendly and seem well connected and supportive of each other. Several have stopped by to tell us that they are praying for us during this difficult time. There are a number of Assisted/Senior Living facilities in the Lehigh Valley. We primarily chose Lehigh Commons because of it’s proximity to our home, it’s cleanliness and its well-maintained facility. We are so very pleased with the support they have provided; a level of support which cannot be easily observed from the outside or explained adequately in a brochure.
