This place is amazing! I've been there to visit a couple of times and the staff is great. It's a clean, and welcoming environment. Some of the events that they put on also welcome the public. One I've been to is the trunk or treat. They ways the vehicles were decked out made me think about joiningnin on passing out instead of just walking around. Oh and they've had a dj as well. Highly recommend.

Whispering Oaks is nothing short of wonderful it’s an amazing community filled with mostly friendly residents and a really good staff. I have personally toured this place with the hopes of eventually trying to move my father into this wonderful community to be closer to my fiance and I. Also I have been to some of their events they do such as trunk or treat and summer picnic/carnival I definitely enjoyed each visit.

From Just "Surviving" to Absolutely Thriving! If you are looking for a sign to check out Whispering Oaks Provincial Senior Living in Hermitage, PA, this is it! After my father passed away in May 2024, my mother moved in with us. For over a year, she was just "surviving." My dad was her entire world, and without him, she was bored, lonely, and had next to nothing to do. We knew she needed more, so we started looking into independent living options. We toured four other places in the area, but absolutely none of them held a candle to Whispering Oaks. From the exact moment we stepped through the door, the vibe was just completely welcoming. Jackie, the Director of Sales, set up our tour in July 2025, and she blew us away. We didn't just look at apartments; they treated us to a delicious lunch where we got to sit and chat with actual resident ambassadors. We toured the different available units, and Mom was so incredibly impressed that the second we walked out to the car, she asked, "When can I move in?!" She officially moved in on August 1, 2025, and the transformation has been nothing short of a miracle. She went from surviving to completely thriving! She has made so many wonderful friends and her social calendar is packed. There are amazing activities offered every single day, giving residents total freedom to participate as much or as little as they want. Over the past year, we have gotten to know the entire staff, and they are phenomenal. Everyone”from the General Manager and the activity director to the maintenance crew, the driver, and the food service workers”is incredibly friendly and deeply invested in the residents. This isn’t just a facility; it is a true "community" in every sense of the word. I have even had the opportunity to plan and join in on some of the fun myself during visits! Watching my mom regain her joy, her independence, and her smile has been the greatest gift. If you want a place where your loved one will truly live life to the fullest, Whispering Oaks is the gold standard!

FROM THE FIRST DAY I TALKED ON THR PHONE TO MS JACKIE I KNEW I WANTED MY FATHER TK RESIDE THERE! Then when we officially met I felt the love in her heart to help others. That same love and helpful energy has spread throughout WHISPERING OAKS! THE cooks the residents the cleaning ladies everyone welcomed my father there like he was a student that returned home from college. This place here goes above and beyond the call of care! The services they provide are phenomenal and the services they don't they network with other agencies to get you what you need. THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH STARS TO RANK THIS HOSPITABLE FACILITY! YOU HAVE TO VISIT FOR YOURSELF! MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT TO THE WHISPERING OAKS FAMILY!

3000 a month and what you did is a kind of much overworked staff, obviously paid poorly because they can’t keep Help. No air conditioning in the bedrooms. And they refused to keep the food, heart, healthy, which would take care of this age population, and they do it under the pretext of not doing any special diet. But they know that more than 70% of the people here have either diabetes or heart problems. Very seldom is an eatable meal provided if you have diabetes, the staff doesn’t know if their sugar in the lemonade or anything else for that matter and you cannot switch so if one meal has a lot of starch and you’d like the meat with a salad, they refuse to do it. Very poorly run Kitchen the staff works their butts off and they’re very kind but is it worth 3000 a month no way in God‘s green acres and yet when you read up on the people that own it they make a yearly excess of $20 million a year. Just kinda like the usual kind job we get from everyone else.

We are relocating my father to Whispering Oaks because it is an incredible property and a comparative good value. He had a stroke and desired a smaller, simpler lifestyle. The facility and apartments have a clean and updated aesthetic that appealed to all of us right away. The ample windows, cheerful common spaces, patio/green space, workout room, and shuttle service are all fantastic. But let’s not forget to mention my father’s favorite part which is the food and menu options. The chef-prepared dining options really make my Dad happy and feel like he has the variety and quality he is looking for. In early experiences, staff has been attentive (thanks Jackie!) and accommodating for his needs since he has some mobility issues. The resident population is another attractive aspect as this complex has so many people that events and day to day living provide plenty of opportunities for fellowship. The whole family is impressed (and a little enamored) with Whispering Oaks but most of all, my Dad is thrilled to have found his new home!

Love the staff all Shawn does more than any manger should always there to help when ever needed, has a great personality. Logan will help with some things if asked I consider him like one of my son's have older ones than him. Jackie is new met her really nice personality. Leisa is activity director does a fantastic job also goes about what is required of her. Housekeeping really great Irene,Debbie,I forget the new girls name do a really great job and also go above what is required of them. Server's at Breakfast,lunch,and dinner do a great job. Cooks also try their best to please all not always the best. Bus drivers g great Dave and Ken.

Sucks. I lived there and couldn't wait to move. Something always broke, hot water heater for a month (take cold showers right) Can't keep employees. Of course the elevator was still down after 4 months so had to pay movers to use fire exit to move. Once you sign the contract you don't matter anymore. Food isn't what is shown to you. Reheat and cover with gravy.

So much has happened since my last review. No follow through with rules. Residents do as they please because they know nothing will happen to them. Long wait time to be served in dining room and housekeeping has gone down. (At least on third floor.) We are called independent living but we are more assisted living now. Not what I wanted.

Whispering Oaks is a very nice place to live. They provide your meals, light house keeping and entertainment. A choose of different room sizes to fit your personal needs. The staff is very accommodating and have the open door policies. My only issues are the always changing dinning room servers and house keepers. This is no reflection on management but the work issues people have today. I would like to see the meals stay true to what the menu states and less rice and noodles. With all that being stated I enjoy living here and recommend Whispering Oaks to anyone looking for a new home.

Sorry to be so late. When I visited my sister there in 2019 I appreciated being allowed to stay in her room while visiting from out of state. Now that she is in a nursing home I would have to have the funds to go see her because I live in Nevada. It was obvious that the staff care about the residents and are willing to assist in every way. My cousin and I had excellent food and such a good variety while cooking for such a large amount of people for three meals a day and trying to keep everyone happy. The only complaint that I have is when I mailed my sister a package in 2020 and a person at your facility signed for it. She has not ever recieved the kaftan and jewelry which was in the package send really early around Christmas. Other than the one incident I would have given you a 4 of 5 rating.

My mom has been living here for 4 years. The staff is very caring and helps her out a lot. She likes living here, however, the 3 star rating is for the price increases each year ( she got a $29 increase in income, and the rent for this year went up $100), manager staff is always changing (sad to see Preston leave as well as the last manager), and now they are limiting the food (even though there was a price increase). Every year when the rent increases, my mom really has a hard time trying to come up with the difference. She is almost at the point where she won't be able to make up the cost of the rate increase. I would hate to move her because she's almost 97 years old, but I may have to. 🙁 Update: 02/2022--Now I would give them 2 stars for the price increases! Raised the rent $190/month this year. My mom is 99 now and the staff is still very caring. I would give the staff a 5 star except the manager. I asked for the increase to be reduced but nothing was done. This means at the age of 99, my mom is going to lose housing because of the increase. She can't live on $58/month, which is how much she has left after paying for her room.

Mike McBride, GM followed up with a wonderful message to thank us for our time and to make sure we felt comfortable in placing my Mom's care at Whispering Oaks. The place is beautiful, clean and offers many amenities for their residents.

I have the previledge to meet the Co-Manager Cindy and Jim Kelly They are both very nice people the way they interact with the resident is First Class!!! I am a guest during lunch time and i can't help but noticed the good ambiance of this place..I tasted the food with is very very good!! You are trully blessed to have such a Co-Managers like them..

My father has been a resident for nearly a year and couldn't be happier! The management, staff and accommodations are the best we found in the area after an exhaustive search. I can't imagine a better living situation for him!
