What a gift it was to have my mother cared for at Heather Glen in the memory facility during the last few years of her life! As her children, we had limited ability to be with her, first because pandemic restrictions and then later because we all live out of state. But our anxieties about that quickly vanished when we saw how she was happily thriving there. The staff was warm, kind and attentive to her, we received regular updates, the caliber of the facility and activities available to her were well beyond what we expected, and as she began to decline, staff consulted with us on all the decisions that needed to be made. Not only was HG exceptionally good value for money, but they gave deep peace of mind as we all navigated the unusual challenges of having a loved one in care and not close to us during the pandemic. If you are considering having a family member as part of their community, I can recommend HG unreservedly.

Thank you Heather Glen Senior Living! We moved my Dad from another facility, Dad says it’s like living at the Plaza Hotel! He now gets delicious HOT food, he ACTUALLY Gets nursing care and the security of someone at the desk at all times. All of the staff have been kind and compassionate. After visiting several senior care facilities I knew, without a doubt that Heather Glen was where I wanted my husband to be. The entire atmosphere is one of compassion, understanding and kindness. EVERY staff member I have had contact with has been amazing. They are all so knowledgeable, patient and thoughtful. It is very obvious to me that the staff has been educated about the challenges of residents with memory issues and they treat them with respect. It is a pleasure to visit my husband because the staff is always happy and smiling, and very importantly, my husband is happy. Every time I visit him he remarks about the wonderful staff and great food. He enjoys the many and diverse activities provided each day. I know my husband is safe, happy and getting the best care available. I feel very blessed that I found Heather Glen and that my husband was able to move in to such a lovely facility. My sincerest thanks to everyone at Heather Glen for being the BEST!

6/17/2022 Heather Glen was a wonderful place for my father to receive the necessary support required to ensure his safety concerns were met and also a great place to socialize with the community. My husband and I looked at several senior living locations before deciding on Heather Glen. One of the main reasons we selected Heather Glen was the continuing support shown to our family. Kim Garrison was our go to person at Heather Glen. She provided us with all of the necessary information to make this a smooth transition for my father. All of our questions and concerns during his time at Heather Glen were addressed immediately by Kim and the staff at the facility. We would highly recommend Heather Glen if you are considering a place for your loved one.

Our mom moved in to Assisted Living last week, and the experience so far has been excellent. (I highly recommend ignoring the terse, one-star rating posted elsewhere.) The physical facility -beautiful, modern, spacious, clean, well appointed - should by itself be enough to earn two stars. The staff has been excellent in providing information, providing medical care, making arrangements, friendliness. Lots of varied activities throughout the day and meals seem to be very good. Mom is starting to connect with other residents and seems much happier since moving in.

Heather Glen is a beautiful, nicely appointed facility-- but even more significant is the professionalism, enthusiasm, and warmth of everyone working there including the administrator, the marketing director, the nurse, the activities coordinator, the med techs, and the caretakers. I appreciate the individual care and attention they give to my sister. Its impressive the effort all made to learn my sisters needs and interests. We are so happy that Heather Glen is now open. Extraordinary Help During COVID-19 My mom needed to be immediately transferred to a memory care facility and during the peak of the COVID-19 crisis. Living in another state from my Mom, I was not familiar with any of the facilities where my Mom lived and could not visit the facilities myself due to COVID-19 visitor restrictions. Kim Garrison and Jackie Crespo at Heather Glen helped me quickly identify Heather Glen as a safe and secure facility that would meet my moms needs, within my Moms budget range, in a very short time frame, and all remotely during the COVID-19 crisis. Kim sent me videos of my moms future apartment and the residence accommodations. Both Kim and Jackie helped the movers set up my moms apartment, before they picked up my mom and safely transferred her to Heather Glen. Jackie spent extra time with my mom the first four weeks to ensure a safe transition and develop a personal memory care plan for my mom. Jackie provided me with regular communication updates on moms progress and helped me understand how to manage my moms diagnosis. Kim sent me pictures of my mom actively participating in Heather Glen activities. Jackie helped me schedule special window visits with my mom, working around my travel commute. Living at Heather Glen, my mom has noticeably improved and has responded positively to her personal memory care plan. As a result of Kim and Jackies help and support, I was able to move my Mom to a very nice and safe memory care facility, Heather Glen, in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis, that continues to be free of COVID!

We moved my mom into Heather Glen in late March and with Covid could not visit with her but the staff at Heather Glen has been amazing from the time we went in for the tour before lockdown. Jackie A the executive director was so welcoming and went over the top to accommodate my mom. She is a wonderful, caring down to earth lady! Jackie C the memory care director is the most amazing person I know! She has been my rock! She absolutely loves her memory care residents and takes such good care of my mom. I dont know of any other human being that has a heart like she does. She is so good with my mom and took the time to make sure my moms life at HG is about her and her needs not whats good for her staff. She is always available if you need to talk to her. I cannot say enough of great things about Jackie. Her staff is great also. Even though I have not been able to get to know the staff personally, they are always so nice during window visits, zoom meetings or when I call. HG has been wonderful trying to meander their way through Covid. Its been really hard not being able to visit my mom but HG has been so accommodating with the zoom and window visits. My mom was at another community before we moved her to HG and it was the BEST decision we made! HG is a family and I Love them like my own! Thank you for taking such good care of my mom!!! I highly recommend HG!!!!

Heather Glen Memory Care...a lifeline, an anchor and a safe harbor! For anyone at the crossroads of how best to care for a loved one who is battling with dementia, I totally get it! When our family realized that my Moms memory was failing, it was a heart wrenching time ridden with profound sadness, guilt, anger, frustration and a sense of loneliness in trying to help my Mom. She was extremely resistant to say the least which did not make the journey easy. Initially, she lived in a Memory Care near me in Illinois. At first, all seemed ok, but it became apparent that her individualized needs were not being addressed. My stress level was over the top and thankfully, my siblings came to the rescue. My eldest brother and sister-in-law researched several places in the Allentown area and felt Heather Glen was a great fit for Mom. They immediately felt the vibrancy, care, interest and dedication of Jackie, the Memory Care Director. Mom has been a resident since the end of June...yes, right in the midst of COVID-world! From the moment she arrived, her safety was paramount! And she WAS resistant...but melted in the warmth of Jackies greeting. While it has been so challenging to be separated geographically from my Mom, the Heather Glen staff has made the transition as smooth as possible. My sister and I tag team Zoom visits with my Mom and my brother and sister-in-law visit with their family... visits have been window visits due to COVID which demonstrates the Heather Glen commitment to safety. My husband and I have window visited with my Mom as well during two visits we made...a long drive but worth every minute to see my Mom! The warmth of the staff is genuine. My Mom is always dressed well and even has her hair done! The Activities Assistant, Kathy, is so upbeat and encouraging with my Mom, so much so, that my Mom is busy during the day with a variety of activities and is rarely in her room. My Mom also comments that the food is really good...and as the saying goes, the proof is in the pudding as she looks great! In addition to the outstanding physical and emotional care, Heather Glen also provides support to family members. Recently, Kim Garrison spearheaded a great seminar, The Savvy Caregiver which addressed the multi-dimensional aspects and challenges of dementia. The commitment to supporting caregivers and providing tools to deal with the fragile and failing memory of a loved one is yet another shining example of Heather Glens superior level of care and concern not only for its residents, but also, the family. Heather Glen has been and continues to be such a positive growing experience for me as an employee and a person. Everyone there is respectful and helpful. The management is always available for guidance and encouragement and the staff is always upbeat and ready to take on the day no matter what it brings. Even the most stressful situations are approached with a positive attitude. The residents are a joy to work with and I truly take pride in making sure they are taken care of with the respect and kindness they deserve. The relationships built between myself and the residents and their families leave a lasting positive imprint on my heart. I not only recommend this as a great place of employment but also a competent and well run, caring place to bring your loved ones for both short term or full time care!

Above and beyond They do little extra things to treat their clients. Birthday cakes and treats several times a week. They have a bird for the residence to enjoy. The facility is beautiful as well.

Our Dad lived at Heather Glen in the Memory care unit. He was treated with love and respect. The staff on every level were truly wonderful. We are so grateful that he had such tender care until he passed away and went Home to Glory.
