Debbie Ross is a God send, her help was invaluable with my moms move in and keeping me informed.They have activities everyday to keep their residents active and I feel my mom matters to them. I have worked for Brookdale off and on for over 20 years. I keep coming back because their focus is on the residents. I enjoy that they are open to feedback and make changes that make sense. The passion my leadership has for our residents keeps me inspired to do my best.

I know some of you think this place is so bad but it's not yes there are some issues with staffing but those residents are taking care of there loved and appreciated. I've worked at other facilities in the area and so far brookdale mt hood and Troutdale are far the best if I felt residents were in jeopardy I would turn them into state so quick I've turned places into state I have no fears in doing so but brookdale isn't one of them the staff works hard day in and day out just to make sure there taken care of our nurse available 24hrs not sometimes ALL THE TIMES. Some facilities dont even have a nurse.someof the staff might be rough around the edges but they have those residents back the staff will take a beating to keep those residents safe so all the negative reviews have you guys truly seen what these staff members do for those residents no you haven't cuz if you have you'd know that there has been staff who have stayed 4days when it was icy and nobody else could make it you'd see the staff putting in 16hr days running and hurting themselves to prevent residents from a fall so don't you dare say bad things unless you have seen it with your eyes don't you dare

trying to get anyone that works there to call you back is impossible. My mother was a resident and while she was there Covid happened. They were short staffed and I was not able to even see her room. I was able to visit her in person a week before she fell and broke her hip and passed away. At the time of visit, I notified them her hair looked as if she hadn't showered in weeks as it was very greasy. Also, her toenails had NEVER been clipped. I heard very defensive excuses that weren't true. Because of this lack of basic care, I have to wonder at the rest of her care.

My father was at this facility twice. The first time was for emergency respite care when I had to deal with my husbands sudden death across the country. Ann-Marie made the process pain-free as much as possible while during my greatest time of need. My father stayed with Brookdale for one month until I was ready to resume my caregiving role with him. During the month he was there, the staff took excellent care of him. I know this since while I was away, my son would visit every couple of days in my absence during those two weeks I could not. Then, on my return, I would be visiting and witnessed the love and care the staff had for my father.Six months after I returned to my caregiving role while grieving my husbands death, we had major flood damage to our home. I went back to Ann-Marie and immediately she remembered my fathers first name and mine. I knew then that we were not just another caseload. I had to re-admit my father there. This time for the remainder of his days which would be approximately 18 months. I always visited him often and never saw any amiss in his care. The staff became my second family as well as for my father. Their support for family members is strong here. I was always informed of anything important in my fathers caregiving needs by the head nurses. Monthly phone calls updated me on any changes in his behavior or health concerns we needed to address.Never did I see any signs of neglect by the staff here to any of the carees they were overseeing for family members. There were well planned activities for all ranges of dementia care. The staff would work overtime if needed to make sure the carees got their care needs met.They had weekly meetings with the staff so all the caregiving staff could have a unified plan of care for the clients. Plus the staff had training available to further their caregiving abilities. Up to my fathers last day, the staff treated my father with the utmost respect. Even giving me time alone with him to grieve his passing until I was ready to call the crematory. I can only highly recommend this Brookdale in Troutdale for their excellent memory care for those in need.

This is a great facility. I did some volunteer work here and the staff is so loving they really do treat the residents like family. I love the culture here. I volunteer at several other dementia care facilities and this one is by far the best. It doesnt feel institutional and when you walk in. Come see for yourself....the love and atmosphere is top notch.

My Mother -in -law ....was a resident at Brookdale.I loved how they treated her like family ...They hugged and kissed her and took good care of her. I love that they do a lot of activities with the residents. I feel the staff and caregivers should be paid ...the highest pay for what the they do. Some day come and visit and join in on in a activities with your loved one. they really like the activities with music and the outings. I love all the residents. they just need a lot of love.

Great place. My daddy works here and so does my dear friend. They involve the residents in many holidays and events which ive brought my children to. Ive even been involved in the Kentucky Derby Tea Party where i brought my horse and pony to greet the residents Its a place where people are treated like people with kindness and respect.
