January 2021
I visited a client at The Statesman Club today and was very pleased to see the careful way in which I was screened prior to my entrance -- from the temperature check right down to the thorough iPad check-in -- all terrific COVID-19 prevention measures. (And yes, of course, masks were required for entrance. Its hard to please all the people all the time, granted, but the staff at The Statesman Club come pretty close.Major compliments to the entire staff for the way they are handling all the necessary restrictions.Safety is key.

My mother has lived at the Statesman for around 6, maybe 7 years, and overall it has been the best move she could have made. She went from a year living with us and feeling like a shut-in, to the Independent Living that fits her very independent lifestyle. The Statesman has the activities, excursions, Beautiful facility, and amenities, to keep most of this very diverse group of retired individuals. As most will not experience everything offered at the Statesman, tell your loved ones to try the pool! My mother loves it, and uses it at least three times a week, but this is one of the most under-used amenities at the facility, and at the average age of the residents it should be the most! Generally she still loves living here, even though she is on a restricted diet, for the most part they take care of that, and of course, she can fix her own meals in her kitchen when they dont.

My mom and dad moved to the Statesman in September of 2013. Dad passed away in January and Mother has stayed there since. She loves the people there, the activities (bridge, rummy cube games, and others). She has made many new friends and continues her ministry of welcoming new residents in her own way. The staff has been remarkable in the way they have handled the pandemic - doing everything possible to keep our loved ones safe. This is a great place for seniors who are ready to let someone else do the cooking, cleaning, and other responsibilities that come with staying in a private home. Five stars every time!

It is difficult to please all the people all the time. But the folks at the Statesman Club come pretty close. Kudos to the entire staff for the way they handled the COVID-19 restrictions. It flat kept everyone as safe as possible by promptly implementing their effective policy.

The residents here genuinely care and look after one another. The staff is always available to help and the food is very good. My only negative complaint is the billing department ----- we never received a correct monthly bill. We were grossly overcharged. The errors were time consuming and very difficult to fix.

Amazing place with such caring staff that truly cares for their residents well being as well as the staff caring for them. In the time i visited every staff member greeted me with a smile. The residents were very engaged with one and other and all greeted me with a friendly hello as they visited with one an other.

Hate to tell you this Helen. I dont know who your parents are but the staff is still very friendly but the food has gone down tremendously under Brookdales Administration. They announced or at least made it known the other day they will no longer serve hamburgers at lunch because too many people were eating those instead of the main menu items. They never thought that maybe that was happening because no one liked their menu choices!! Im not going to sign this because they will know who I am when I post this next statement. My dad has to take supplemental food to the dining room or order half menu and a hot dog. They dont feed people enough to survive. Notice they have had a HUGE turnover lately? I think its from malnutrition and rapid weight loss. My parents have been there for 10 years. Mom died this year but dad...takes food to the dining room so he has enough to eat. Also, the activity director would just as soon no one show up for her activities. The entertainment on Friday nights has dropped tremendously to nobody showing up or if they do, dont pay attention. The Casady School kids used to come 2-3 times a year and entertain them. The people loved it. They stopped coming because the activity director was never prepared for them and it was always nothing but a cluster-f**k. Signed ME!

Some of the best people in senior living dedicate their days and lives to the residents that live here and to the families that love them.
September 2015
My parents have lived at the Statesman Club for the past four years and have loved it from the day they moved in. Every single employee treats them as family. We could not have chosen a better place for them to live. The other residents are all great too, which really matters if you visit other places. There is always something going on to do. My mom loved her water aerobics classes... the heated pool was great. The food is also excellent. Not only do they provide two new menu choices at lunch and dinner, they offer fish, chicken, burgers, etc. that you can order off of the menu. Rose is the head chef and does an amazing job. The wait staff are very patient with all of the residents. I have noticed this not only with my parents but with everyone there. Many times elderly can be borderline rude when they want something. But the staff always shows these people patience and kindness. Housekeeping comes weekly and my parents love Jocelyn. She is so attentive and loving to my parents! The Statesman Club provides transportation to doctors appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well as other places like WalMart, etc. Utilities, including basic cable, are provided. All you have to do is get a home phone if you want one.If you or your parents are ready to live somewhere where you dont have to worry about cooking or cleaning anymore, you cannot find a better home than the Statesman Club! Call them and ask for Valerie. Shell treat your parents like family just like she did mine!
