Our mom has been a Symphony at Mentor resident for a little over a year. She is happy and well taken care of by a consistent team of professionals with the training, patience, and compassion for loved ones who need memory care. No matter when we go for a visit, the property is secure, staff are welcoming, and the facilities and her living space are clean and tidy. The menu always looks good and she enjoys participating in various activities. It gives us peace of mind knowing mom is comfortable, cared for, and treated with respect.

It takes a special outlook on life to work at an assisted living facility, it's not just a dedication of knowing each resident on a personal level and trying to provide the highest quality of care, it's that extra heartfelt respect of the elderly, recognizing their emotional needs, and the manner in which one engages with each individual in a respectful and enriching fashion so our loved ones feel understood, comfortable, welcome, and safe --especially those with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. Symphony at Mentor has a very special staff that has just this outlook. Their attitude towards their work and the quality of their work is exemplary, I'd never be able to pick just one favorite staff member here because I see an inner joy and a whole lot of patience, kindness, and compassion in a myriad of different fashions from all of the staff I have met in providing care for their residents! Symphony at Mentor focuses a lot on ways to enrich my parent's emotional and physical well-being, senior activity involvement, great meals, and in addition there are many safety features like handrails, wide hallways, uplifting decor, cleanliness, social areas, lounge spaces, and upkeep. My mother is happy at this facility. I love it too!

Its so refreshing to see that the staff at Symphony have a real mission to care for residents with dementia. They have the experience and the programs to make a difference in the life of each resident, regardless of what stage of memory loss the resident is experiencing. They are also so easy to talk to, give feedback and make suggestions. Special call out to all the caregivers who have given their love and support during the difficult months of Covid. They are truly HEROES.

I cannot say enough praises for the staff at Symphony at Mentor. When I was forced to place my husband who suffers from Parkinsons Disease and dementia they made the transition so easy for me, and I walked out of there knowing he would be in good care. When you first drive in it looks like a lovely home in the woods with a wonderful wrapping front porch. He is at home there and all of the staff are so caring and treat the residents like members of their own family. They have all become like family to me as well. One of his main caregivers, Michelle, has been very special to me. It just seems like she goes above and beyond to see that he is well taken care of. However, I would also like to add how much I appreciate the care he receives from Crystal and Erica. They are all wonderful!

I have had a great experience having my loved one at Symphony of Mentor. From the moment my loved one was made a resident of the facility the staff have made her feel like family. Prior to her going to Symphony, it was a very difficult decision to have her go into a facility. Looking back, I know now it was the correct decision. The staff keeps me update on her health and keep me informed of any changes. They continue to do a wonderful job caring for her during these difficult time with covid. I would highly recommend checking this facility out if your loved one needs 24 hour care. You would truly be making a good decision if they come to Symphony.

A heartfelt Thank you to the staff. I am so happy that we chose Symphony at Mentor as my aunts home. Her dementia requires a residential placement for her and I feel certain that she is happy living at Symphony. My aunt has been a resident for 2years and I am often there for visits and events (before Covid restrictions). I see wonderful care, genuine interest and happy faces during my visits. Erika does a great job of working in recreational-social activities while coping with the many restrictions Covid has created. Traci is always warm and supportive in any situation between us about health and happiness concerns for my aunt as well. Sandy is a friendly and pleasant voice on the phone whenever I call Symphony. All the staff Ive meet have been pleasant and outgoing during my visits. I recommend Symphony at Mentor as a comforting and activity focused home for anyone needing dementia care.

The staff at Symphony are AMAZING. You sense the genuine care from each of them. Its such a clean and comfortable facility. The activities team keep the residents active in mind and body. The nursing staff ensures their care on every health level. The ladies who prepare Mom for the day and tuck her in at night are all kind and patient. The dietician and cooks and food servers are incredible, too. Fabulous, healthy, home-cooked meals served with a smile. I started Mom off with daycare, then full-time in late February. Their response to Covid has been exceptional. I highly recommend Symphony at Mentor.

The day after my mom moved into her apartment at Symphony, she told my dad, I am happy. Her words mean more than anything else I can say, but I will add my thank you to the entire staff at Symphony at Mentor: your dedication makes all the difference for our family! The level of care and patience shown by the staff at Symphony since Day 1 brings us comfort though a tough road. This year I was especially impressed with the way Lindsey led her team through the difficult changes related to COVID-19. She worked diligently to keep family, staff, and residents connected, healthy, and upbeat. I am grateful we found this home for my mom.

Symphony at Mentor is a great place to work and to care for loved ones. The staff really takes pride in the care they give the residents. They enjoy dancing, laughing, talking with the residents. Symphony at Mentor is the ONLY PLACE to have your loved ones who may be suffering from memory impairment, Alzheimers-dementia. I am very honored to be able to care for not only such wonderful residents, but their families too.
September 2020
My Mom has been at Symphony for 3.5 years and is in the final stages of Alzheimers. I always have been touched and impressed by the loving care Mom has received at Symphony. This increased all the more during COVID. I got reports and updates not only from the director, but also from the staff. Traci Labry and her staff of nurses and aides have gone over and above my expectations. Trace was feeding Mom one day and Mom was having a good day. Traci called me on my cell phone and we did a face to face call so I could watch Mom as she sang and actually smiled - a treasured response!Another time I dropped off items for Mom and I saw Trina, one of the kitchen staff, at the door. Trina told me how well Mom has been eating and that she is doing OK. After I dropped off the items, I went around outside to see Mom through the window. This was not planned and no one knew I would do that. I saw Mom in her chair sleeping. So peaceful. And I saw a neat room, bed made, Mom dressed and Erica was feeding Moms roommate with much gentlenesst is a comfort to know Mom is always in good hands that love her and care for her. I thank God every day for the wonderful staff at Symphony.

This is a great facility to work for. All of the staff is so friendly and welcoming. It feels like we are one big family. The residents are very loved by us all. At a time in there life when things get confusing for them we are able to pull together as a team and make sure our residents are safe and know that they are loved and wanted by us all.
September 2020
My sweet mother has been a resident here for 4 and a half years. The staff always does a wonderful job of caring for her. Because of coronavirus, I do not get to see all of the staff anymore, but I do get to see a few of the caregivers , when I come for porch visits, who are my favorites - Erica, Mariah and Mary Ann!!! They are tender and kind to my mom, and to me, and also to my dad who visited my mom almost every day when he was still alive. They treat us all like family and I thankful for their dedication and hard work.
September 2019
My mom, and at some time, I, was caring for my grandma, no one wants to feel like like they are just giving up, bc we definitely felt like we were, but we couldnt give her the care she needed anymore due to all our busy schedules, symphony has taken my grandma in and has loved her like their own, to go visit and see that huge smile on her face and leave knowing shes in good hands put us all at ease. They keep her busy with so many activities That we couldnt, and are always at hand when we call with any questions. We started with the day care program which was also amazing, after a year, she would ask to go home (symphony) and we knew then she was comfortable there and enjoyed her time with the other residents and workers.

Everyone is so nice to the residents and each other. Jack feels very well cared for and loves the meals and the activities. Im learning names now, but everyone, I mean everyone is wonderful!

The caregivers, nurses and entire staff at Symphony at Mentor took wonderful care of our mother-grandmother in her final years of a fulfilling life. As dementia progresses, they go the extra mile to strengthen the care for their residents. God bless the folks at Symphony for understanding their patients and their progression through the challenges of dementia. I witnessed residents reacting in a way that Im sure they never would have with sound mind, yet the caregivers always responded positively and tried to alleviate the frustration that the resident might have been feeling. We would highly recommend you visit Symphony at Mentor when making your choice for a home for your loved one.
December 2016
This past October my father had to unexpectedly go into the hospital and immediate respite care was needed for my mother who needs full time care. Wayne Kay worked quickly and compassionately to help me transition my mother into respite care at Symphony At Mentor. The moment we walked in we were greeted with warm smiles. The staff was very helpful, responsive to individual needs and engaged all the residents. My mother needed extra attention and Wayne took the time to have her sit with him in his office as it seemed to comfort her. My familys sincerest thanks to Wayne the staff at Symphony At Mentor for giving so much of themselves to provide the care and personalized attention my mother needed. Your compassionate touch did so much to ease our minds and brighten my mothers days. We are all so very grateful for the dedication, professionalism, and compassion of the entire staff.
